Nice little river walk. More parking in the lower end. It has a few benches to rest at & a Drinking fountain along the way. Not sure if restrooms are around. Went here to walk my dog.

Nice little valley of trees for a more scenic walk. Avoid during poison ivy season and be sure to check yourself and your pets for ticks.

People dont know this is technically a park, but it has a great trail that runs through it and goes along the rivers edge. Its really quiet and you feel like youre out of the city.

I always enjoy the great outdoors and getting in touch with nature including spending time with animals watching living in their natural habitat.

I drive by this park testing my bikes all the time. Its always quite and full of life.

One of the best stretches of the river side walk in south bend

Its a beautiful natural place. The little river overlook with the benches is just the entrance to the actual park - look northwest along the river, theres a trail leading into the woods. Walk in. It sometimes looks a little creepy if its overgrown, but its not, really. Once youre in the woods its a lovely series of trails leading quite a distance back. You might even see deer or wild turkeys back there, or large predatory birds fishing the river. It also gives you access to several nice fishing spots. The city has done very minimal shaping on it so it doesnt feel like a formal park, but there are logs placed here and there for sitting and resting, and they clear any fallen trees off the trail after storms.
