Animals are active, happy and healthy! Very beautiful and clean zoo that always seems to be getting bigger and better. Alot of information about each animal which is a good learning experience for the kids while enjoying the sights. Theyre also adding more animals soon. Cant wait to go back well worth it!!!

Only reason Im giving 3 stars is because of the lack of response by customer service. We asked about reciprocal benefits a soon as we arrived, because online said we had to buy online. Couldnt reach anyone by phone. At the gate at the zoo they said we had to call in to get the reciprocal benefits from the zoo program.. sounds like they just dont want to honor it. Lack of response. The zoo itself is smaller, but well maintained. There are some really neat animals here! A great park right outside the gates. Free parking.Update: To owner response. Im sorry, but I dont think well return. We had our card present at the gate when we arrived. So we had everything we needed to indicate our membership. She told us no. We had to call, and you couldnt get through to anyone? Your customer service office was completely closed in the learning building. So as much as I would love to support your zoo, your customer response makes it more difficult.

This zoo is SO different with all of the remodels. We were there on a cool day with my grandbaby. All of the animals were active and out. Sad that the chimps are gone, but anxious to see what is coming to that exhibit. The zoo was clean and they were decorating for fhe Christmas lights.

Always a good time! Its a pretty small zoo and the signage is not very good but its a fun 2 hours if you take your time. I like that they are working hard to make improvements in recent years. You can see enrichment items in the enclosures and the newer enclosures especially are nice. Some of the animals there are almost as old as I am so I feel really nostalgic about the whole place.

Well, the zoo has changed alot since Ive last been, and even more so now that covid took over. The price of admission is still fairly decent but the attractions are lacking at best. No camels, bears, kangaroos, zebras or koi fish. No petting zoo, pony rides or feeding the fish, but to compensate for the lack of funds coming into the zoo, you can now consume beverages from the winery, huh, who knew. My one request, bring back the penguins.

It is especially good for younger children because they can be overwhelmed in a large zoo. This had a great variety of animal species and experiences. Price was reasonable too.

Despite the regulations my wife and I really enjoyed ourselves. This zoo is a fun little place with some beautiful animals, but it is definitely more suitable for kids to visit. Being that its smaller it is definitely not an all day activity as a date night. All in all worth the price of admission.

Across my road trips, we always visit a lot of zoos. This was probably my least favorite. The layout of the zoo is a little confusing and its easy to miss things. Maps were out of date because theyre making updates. A lot of animals couldnt be seen too. Unfortunately 100% of customers entered the zoo with a mask on and only 25% kept it on after walking through the entrance. So if you wish to be safe, dont come here right now. A lot of people didnt care about social distancing.

Really enjoyed this visit. The zoo has been updated and rearranged since the last time I was there. Was disappointed to see that there was only one food stand open at 11AM and that was the brew stand so couldnt take my friends kids into the seating area. The education center was closed (due to covid) and it seemed like a lot of animals werent on exhibit. Other then that we had a great day.

While they have done some things to improve the zoo over the years, there is a general lack of maintenance and even cleanliness. This picture is from the fox enclosure and there is litter in it. We went here for a birthday party today and we really enjoyed ourselves! The adults had a great time watching and the kids had a blast. The birthday boy was allowed to pick out the animals that he wanted to see and we got to learn all about them and even pet a few. We did get to take pictures with all of them. We also got to take a tour of the inside portion of the zoo. If it were warmer outside, we would have been able to go outside as well. The kids got to color animal masks and play pictionary. Wonderful for kids, including a carousel, a farm animal exhibit, and kid-size zoo train. Wonderful for adults, with interesting and unusual animals such as the takin, the kudu, the capybara, rhino and warthog, tigers, lions, otters and monkeys. Perfectly sized for the family - everything can be seen and appreciated in 2 - 2 1/2 hours - nice concessions if you want to make a day of it, and a brand new zoo store for souvenirs. Come back in every season for special displays and finish reading the informative signage you missed the first time. A nice family membership is also available.

Saturdays may not be the best time to visit since its crowded with families with kids. Parking could be tricky at peak time. There was a long line for tickets but it moved fast. Zoo was okay, small. I was more upset that I personally came to this zoo due to them having a nursing center/room and it was closed. Although I had looked it up online and it said nothing about it being closed. I did ask the counter if it was going to be an issue with nursing my baby, and the gentleman at the counter told me that his superiors suggest I go in the bathroom to feed the baby. We left directly after. If things like this will not be available might I suggest posting it online or outside the entrance. After paying to go with my family, I had to leave just to nurse my infant.

The zoo was great! The animals were lively, but it all seemed a little small with all the Covid restrictions. There werent too many people in the zoo and some of the enclosures were empty. This is a one star rating solely due to how they are handling coronavirus. There was no social distancing whatsoever and almost no one wearing a mask. The wife and I would be looking at an exhibit when a crowd of people would surround us, some leaning over her shoulders, without any mask or concern about social distancing. This place needs to change its mask policy fast, as it is going to serve as a hot spot for spreading coronavirus.

This is a great regional zoo. It doesnt have the wide variety of animals that would be found in a large city like Chicago, but it has a nice assortment of animals to satisfy children. Because of the coronavirus some outdoor and indoor exhibits were not open to the public. This, however, did not detract from the experience. It was a beautiful day!The zoo is easy to get to with reasonable admission fees....very affordable for families. Parking is free. The zoo is just the right size for families and the grounds are beautiful. There is a nice sized park outside of the zoo with picnic tables and a playground.Dont miss this zoo. Great little Zoo. Having not been to this Zoo since I was a young child, it’s much smaller than I remember. But it’s a great asset to the community. You can easily do the whole zoo in 2 hrs or less if you don’t spend much time at each animal. We purchase season passes each year, which IMO are insanely cheap! We go a couple times a month. They frequently have little activities for the kids. And my 2 year old loves the train and carousel. Tigers are normally pretty active and we can spend most of our time watching them. Of course the petting zoo are is a big hit. Staff we’ve had contact with are always super nice and friendly. I’m glad to see the positive changes the zoo is making for the animals and their enclosures and look forward to seeing how the zoo improves in the coming years. There’s three parks, one across the street and one by the parking lot and one in the petting zoo area. Pack a lunch and play after the zoo and we’re guaranteed a nice long nap for the littles after!
