Nice park but I am disabled so parking out in the front lot and walking to the play area with my grandkids and then finding no were to sit close to be able to watch them. Not good. Wont be back.

The gates are up right now so you have to park and walk to the play area. They have re-did a lot of there Equipment and it looks amazing my children had a great time.

Great childrens play area. Plenty of areas for picnics, resting, meeting others, taking walks and great trails along the St. Joseph River. Can be rented for get togethers under 2 different pavilions. The park is very well maintained.

Love this place

I have zero complaints about this park! There is a lovely playground with some recently added structures, plenty or grass for the kids to run, a corridor of trees leading to River Commons, swings for the adults to relax, and its always very well taken care of. I went there as a child and love that I can bring my children there and know theyre safe!

Great new playground

Great park on a main road. The new after hours parking making walking around the paved road easy for evening or year round activities. The childrens play area has newly added amenities with a large pavilion beside it for gatherings. Its busy most weekends but during the week days is a great place to watch kids and eat a packed lunch. Another pavilion is available across the street from the play area that is smaller and just provides a bit of shade with some tables as well. Lots of baseball diamonds and soccer fields. The walk is just under a mile if you make a lap but can also walk to the river through the west side of the tree line. Lots of signs to show you the way. Not a long track to the water but might be a bit overgrown and slick with mud if recent rain was in the area. Look for the wild flower patch along the road and stop to look around. Its a great park for small children, walking dogs, athletes and the community.

Wide open spaces, well kept equipment at playground, ball diamonds and lots of trees. Parking all over. New picnic pavilion and a spacious older pavilion. Grills. Kids love it.

Great dog walking area, but the forest trails could use some cleaning. I cant take my dog back there because I have seen glass on the ground. The rest of the park is great and clean though.

Quiet.....clean......a lot of options to do

Park is very clean and a great place to take a walk. Only complaint I have is with the staff. I was in the park around 7pm one evening when it began to storm. I was sitting in my car getting ready to leave when staff came barreling at me in their car, beeping and yelling at me to leave. I asked for clarification when the park closed and I was simply rushed out.

Beautiful park, well maintained and kept up. Love it here. Walking on the trails by the river, watching a ball game, or just cooking out on a grill.

Love this little slice of heaven in South Bend! We used to bring our kids here when they were young to play on the swing sets, now we bring them to walk our grand dog!

Needs more equipment

Ive grown up around here, the park is fun and a great place for children or pokemon go.

Very clean, parents are always with their kiddos . Safe.

In 2015-2016 This park was the place to go. After winter 2016 the parks department has been SUPER lazy about unlocking the gates. It is never open and I dont feel like having to walk half a mile to see the river or walk quarter mile to the eating area for picnics.

Its a great place to take little children to wear off some excess energy at the playground and its also a great place for anyone of any age to walk and get some steps and exercise and has a travel path by the river so theres something for everyone at this Park

I only rated a 3 star because it was raining other than that I had a pleasant experience!
