A very beautiful park. Two different playgrounds connected by a trail system offer lots of places for children and families to play. So many different benches and picnic tables are spread throughout the park for plenty of place to enjoy the view or bring a picnic. The dog park is an amazing place to let your dog run free. The lake is well stocked with fish and has plenty of different spots around the riverbank to cast from.

Nice place to experience nature in the city. The trail around the lake is paved and makes for a nice hike. I like to bring a kayak and head up the creek. Not the easiest to access the water, though. Always lots of turtles and Canada geese.

This is a great place. There is a really good play ground where you can bring your young kids to and they can spend hours here. There is a walking path that circles the water that is super pretty. A dog park is there that is for big dogs and they have a smaller dog area as well. The dog park goes on forever and us really nice as well. The walk around the lake takes about an hour and is 2.8 ish miles all the way around. Highly recommend. Fishing is also an option. Not sure how many fish there are or what kind of fish there is.

The park is wonderful. There is a place for the smaller dogs to play separate from the larger dogs if you wanted to. One downfall is alot of people do not pick up there dogs mess. The park provides water fountain and training tools for the dogs. Its all around a good park with LARGE areas for the dogs to play

Such a fun place for the dogs to stretch their legs / burn some energy during a long trip. It would be nice if there were more baggy stations, trash cans & water stations. As big as this park is (its HUGE!!) the entry can be a very very long way. Id rather not take my eyes off of my dog that long just to go throw away some poo.

Beautiful place to go walk or have a nice lunch with your wife. My wife and I love it here.

Very tranquil place. The walking path is about three miles. So, its a good cardio respite.

The mountain bike trails are feature rich and smoooooth. I loved the features I could ride, and appreciated the ones I could only look at and think someday. The signage is on point. They even have wooden signs with Ducks on them to advise you of a potential facial upcoming. I would highly recommend anyone make the drive to ride. Bonus, a lake to jump in after a sweaty ride in 95 degree humid Iowa weather.

I needed to just get out and go for a walk. Someone reminded me of this area. I havent been here in 20 years. After stretching out a little, I went for a leisurely walk around the lake. Dont rely on the Google map to show you the trail, it actually does go all the way around. With breaks and photos and a slow pace, I made it last about 2 hours. You can easily do it much faster.Mission accomplished, Im more relaxed but sweaty.

Love the singletrack mountain bike trail. Nicely maintained and great signage.

On my first visit, when ice was froze, my Chihuahua & I went out on the ice and she loved it. Was a great day to enjoy all that the park offers. Missy wasnt up to running w the big dogs, but she watched from the outside of the fence. Shes lets the big dogs know shes there, but @ 8lbs, shes not a great Dane by any means. Enjoyed ppl fish. Will return this.year multiple times! Great place for families! Go Hawks!

People disregard the rules. Its a nice and open area we took our dog here. But, people dont pick up after their dogs and bring unneutred dogs here when its clearly against the rules

Cute little park, love how they have areas for big and small dogs. Although a lot of the big dog area gets populated by small dogs as well...

Great place for a stroll with a couple pavilions and playgrounds. I just wish there were better access to the water with a beach to wade into or a dock to fish off.

The walking trail is paved, and just about 3 miles around the creek. I love walking here with my family!

Worst place to go too at evening. I was walking through the woods someone was whisling at us trying to scare us.

Nice trails, nice park, lots of space to do whatever trips your trigger. However we havent been able to catch a fish here to save our life. Some more fishing docks would be nice. As well as some more fish in the pond.

First time at dog park was good place to let pups run

I love this park. Has a great walking trail and beautiful scenery on the trail. Peaceful and the sound of the birds is beautiful. Sometimes you can even see deer. Fishing here is relaxing. Lots of space and a great place to spend time with your kids.

Wow! What a great park! Its a little out of the way but well worth it! The trails are wide and paved and the trees are lush and mature... which made my hike very enjoyable due to the shade. Definitely going back!!

Bacon Creek is a fantastic park! The paved trail around the lake is nicely kept and offers a variety of terrain with steep hills, flat stretches, forests, and grassy areas. There are also so many places for kids to play here, and many areas to go fishing. Often, this park is quite busy, but its very neat to see so much of the community there using the space! Go check of Bacon Creek Park if youre looking for something to do!

Bacon Creek overall is a great park! There are many different activities you can partake in such as fishing, hiking, walking/jogging, cycling, unpowered boating and many more general outdoor activities. The paved trail around the lake is great although do keep an eye out for animal droppings. Only concern I have is the public toilets. While I didnt have to use the facilities, I noticed out of all the restrooms scattered around the lake only one seemed to be open. All the other restrooms were locked shut. So keep that in mind when planning to visit this park. Other than that its a great place to enjoy the outdoors! Also the park isnt too far out of the way from Sioux City.

Nice place to catch and release. Small big mouths and plenty of blue gills. Lots of other critters abound that kiddos enjoy seeing and interacting with such as ducks, geese, turtles and bull frogs. Several play areas and dog park. Overall nice relaxing area.

Great place to enjoy the outdoors without having to drive far out of the city! An approximately 3 mile paved walking/running trail with some hills encompasses the lake. The trail runs through park areas for picnics and playgrounds as well as forest terrain. There are also mountain biking trails tucked into the trees and hills. There is a large fenced in area for dogs to run and make new friends!! Plenty of space for parking and close to the water which is nice if youre carrying your fishing gear or kayak!

Nice little park. There is an excellent dog park that is completely fenced in with plenty of room.

One of my favorite places to walk and just relax. It has a lot of potential but is not well kept, lots of trash and pavements are all in extremely poor condition as they havent been replaced since the park was built.

They have a fenced pet area!! How awesome is that? Playground for the kids, open spaces for a game of soccer, & a walkway that wraps around the park!! Of course, dont forget about the lake you canoe or any non-motorized boats are allowed!

Dont quote me but i believe its a 6 mile run path (concrete path) that circles around. There are also hidden dirt trail paths for bikes and runners looking for more advanced/harder workouts. Beautiful park out in the spring/summer time and I even see some people ice fishing when its cold out. Overall great park!

Great place for running or doing mountain bike... 5k pavement loop or 10k single track mountain bike. Perfect for family great time too...

They have taken good care of the trails there and there are a couple nice dog runs to let them play off the leash.

One of my favorite parks in Sioux City! There are three different parks here for kids to play at with nice playground equipment. Lots of picnic benches and grills. There is an awesome trail for walking or biking as well as off road trails for hiking. You can also catch some pretty decent fish here! To top it all off there is also a huge fenced in dog park with tons of room for them to run and play. If you havent been here, you need to check it out!

This is the place to go. The scenery is so beautiful and quiet. It has a dog park and walking/jogging trails. The trails are different because you can go off on your own. Its quite the place to go. They also have a few different kids areas. I just love this place!

Thefts and car break in non stop! I used to visit daily for the trails and now scared!

Bacon Creek Park is a very nice park. They have a large dog run or you can take your dogs to let them run. They have trails around the lake that you could walk around. You can fish in the Lake. Bacon Creek Park is a wonderful place to have a party. They do have shelters and picnic areas. They also have Grill Pitt what are you could grill out.

Nice place for a family outing or just by yourself!! But they need a playground for children under the age of 5

There arent a lot of parks in the Sioux City area, so this one is all the more important. A paved path around the lake is nearly a 5k, and several dirt paths veer off into the woods and hills... Just be aware of bikes flying down these and around corners.The dog park is large and even has a separate smaller area for the little pups. Theres plenty of parking and room for cookouts and picnics.

Beautiful park. Well maintained. Multiple shelters and playgrounds, fishing areas. 3 miles of paved walking or biking trail, and many more miles of dirt trails for bikes or hikers.

A bit icy but always a great trail for runners/ joggers.

Beautiful city park with excellent 2.8 mile trail system around small lake. Bank fishing accessible from many areas. Nice playgrounds in three areas for kids and two covered picnic areas that can be reserved for large gatherings. State DNR stocks trout in the lake a couple times of year, which makes for easy, nice change of pace fishing. Trails around lake can be broken down on east side into smaller segments to change walking distance, but once you head past bridge on north end you are committed to a longer walk, so come prepared to spend around a hour walking completely around the lake, small children will need bikes.

This park could really be something great, but all of the garbage the patrons leave laying around everywhere is ridiculous.This should be a place for all to respect and to enjoy, instead its just pollution everywhere.I appreciate their efforts with putting the dog park in, that is the only positive in the recent years

I love walking the beautiful park. Just wish people would clean up after themselves. Not just for us but for the animals as well.

We went here for a party and the shelter house was the most filthy thing we have ever seen! Rotten food all over and trash cans completely over flowing..also dogs were all over,which is fine but everywhere they pooped it was left and NEVER picked up!!! I was so totally disappointed and all the family was from out of town and sure didn`t give a very good impression of Sioux City!!!!
