Amazing place to stay on your trip to the Smokies. Enormous, clean rooms and suites. Ours was huge, with a living room, dining room, kitchen separating to large bedroom suites. Nice balcony too. The complex also has an indoor pool facility with 2 pools and a large pair of tube water slides that go outside and back in. Theres also a big hot tub. Its also close enough to everything youd want to see to make the lower price even better. Our second time staying there and Im sure well be back.

We enjoyed our stay as usual and made our reservations for next Thanksgiving. Facility is clean and well kept. The hallways were too warm. Very few holiday decorations in the actual building we were in. Seating at the fire pits have you leaning away from the warmth.

We had the best experience here at Governors Crossing. They did everything possible to make us happy. They even got us a fan when asked!!! I was amazed at their professionalism and wonderful attitudes. We will stay again. Thanks so much guys!!!

We got a two bedroom suite very nice and clean and cozy love the balcony! Highly recommended for families with children the water park pool area was fantastic lifeguards on duty! The staff was friendly and accommodating

We stayed here while on vacation and was very pleased. Check in was a breeze and the staff was very friendly. It was perfect for my husband and I. Plenty of room, comfortable, clean and came equipped with a full kitchen. The only con was that it looked a tad bit out of date. But really, that’s minor. With all the pros, this is easily overlooked. You couldn’t beat the location either. It was in the middle of absolutely everything. I think this will be our go to hotel from now on.

We happen to be driving through and decided last minute to call it a night. Made many calls to other hotels and nothing was available. When I called the Resorts, they had open availability and was able to reserve a room instantly. Would recommend the Resorts as they are spacious and very accommodating if you have a family. Will consider them again on my return visit.

The staff will absolutely bend over backwards to answer any question or make any accommodation. Two examples: My wife asked a housekeeper for a towel and was presented with a full, fresh stack. When we asked if there was a coin laundry nearby, the desk host printed out google info for us. Facilities were clean and well maintained. All in all, a great place to stay.

Poor quality resort. The room is outdated, the bathtub had mold around it, phone was not working and the toilet was broken. Staff not very friendly with helping out especially Kim up front. The manager is super rude and unfriendly and does not accommodate when things go wrong. The outside pool was closed at our time of stay and the inside pool was so crowded you can’t even move. No watching of kids/people in jacuzzi area. I believed there must of been like 40 people in it squeezed like ants. The room has very limited utensil and plates. Go somewhere else and save your money not to deal with the rude and unfriendly staff in hopes that everything will go great during your stay so you don’t have to speak to the manager either who is worse than the other staff members.

I really enjoyed my stay at this great facility. I will be returning again with my family for future stays. The Court yard was lite up Beautiful. The fire pit was very cozy. The staff was very pleasant and helpful.

First time to stay here and have really enjoyed our time here. Staff is very friendly. Glad we decided to stay here. Full kitchen with glasses and plates, pots and pans to cook with. Microwave, stove and full size refrigerator as well as a table that seats 6. Will definitely stay here again.

Our stay was better than we expected! Everyone was kind, friendly and very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Some of the ladies who stood out to us were Melissa, Beverly, Kelly, and Amanda. We would highly recommend staying with Governors crossing. We were extremely pleased with our stay! Great location and easy to find. Check-in was easy and all the staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We all loved the pools, splash pad and lazy river. We didnt try any of the big slides. Pool cleaning was every 2 hours but once you figured out the schedule, it wasnt a problem. The play area was closed which was disappointing. The outdoor movie was great and I loved that they provided chairs for that or you could watch from the picnic area, but it started at 9pm so very few people actually made it to the end of the movie. The condo itself was newly renovated and amazing! But parking in the evenings and the elevators were absolute nightmares.

This is a good resort to stay at in a great location and have fun activities for the kids.

Great place for family and kids. Not so great for a quiet time with your spouse. But which is understandable, being that it has a water park and swimming pools.

Great place to stay staff very friendly. Loved all the amenities. Would definitely stay again. The only thing that could be a little better is the towels need to be replaced because some are very thread bare.

I love this place because its very cozy. And if you need help with anything their right on it, one thing I love about this place is the smore roasting and the crafting they had at night. They have plenty of stuff for kids to do, my sisters really loved the indoor water slides.

Room was very clean, very spacious, and was stocked with starter items. The grounds are pretty. Fire pits are awesome for a night when you just want to chill. Bummer the hammocks were closed. Check in was great and helpful. They call to make sure your settled in and all is well. Housekeepers keep you stocked on towels and toilet paper. The pools are pretty packed, not a lot of chairs for the amount of people, but wait for a min, they will come open. Another pool would be ideal here. We stayed on the back side it was very private, we liked that. We enjoyed our stay here. Perfect for little kids, they will be busy all day, and also loads of activities for young ones. Our kids are teens, they loved the water slides. The boy who works the inside pool area was awesome. Have fun!!

Check in host was wonderful. The resort is beautiful with so much to do and enjoy especially for our children. The rooms are really nice. Guest services was courteous. Our only complaints are the bathroom toilet was not cleaned upon arrival but guest services had someone come out right away and apologized/cleaned it. Second the water pressure in the bathroom sink and shower is weak. We overall had a good stay with so much to do nearby and plenty of restaurants.

Loved the entire experience... I hate going on vacation and spending a fortune eating out constantly because your hotel doesnt have a kitchenette or in some cases not even a microwave and fridge. The Resorts fixed this issue with full size kitchens in the room. Also the fall fest activities for the kids was also a God send. My 8 year old fraternal twin siblings are hard to keep happy but this place did just that. Will return again for sure.

We leave tomorrow after a 5 day stay and are all sad to leave. Our three boys (ages 7, 5 and almost 3) have had an absolute blast in the pools, playing put-put, and enjoying the evening movies outside. The staff has been kind and helpful, our room was clean and comfortable and looked exactly like the photos online. Precautions are being taken with Covid so a couple things are closed, but we still feel we got an exceptional value for the price we paid per night. We will be back and will recommend to others.

Had the opportunity to stay for 3 nights and absolutely loved it. Rooms were spacious, full kitchen, great view, pool, friendly staff and cozy beds...Will stay here again!

Lots to do at the resort. Spacious rooms and very clean. Our granddaughter had a great time in the pools.

To begin with we found bugs on the beds. There was sticky fresh stains on all the sheets. We spoke with GM and showed him the Pictures we took, he had them all changed out. The outside patio was right beside the dumpster. So we could not sit out there and enjoy the cool evening because of the trash smell. Not to mention the garbage truck coming and making it worse. The shower pressure was none. You can literally spit harder than the pressure. Coffee machine did not work, had to go and get coffee every morning. There was a sewage smell all day and night in the main bathroom. The pools were nice and the fire pits. But the room, 3011, was horrible. We will never stay here again. Only reason we did is because We waited too late to book at west gate. Oh and also room service never fully stocked our rooms. Me and the Wife had to call and remind them and make two trips down there ourselves to get items.

This place is awesome! Great place for our staycation. The indoor pool was just what our boys needed. The condo we stayed in was spacious and had a nice home feel to it. The start kit was a nice touch. This place has an indoor arcade, as well as a outdoor pool with lazy river and kids playground. We will visit again once the weather warms up, so we can enjoy the outdoor amenities.

Nice hotel. We stayed here for a one night stay. Everything was perfect with the exception of check in. It could have flowed a lot smoother. One guy that was working was very loud and kinda in everyones business. He was distracting the other workers. The room was very nice and spotless. The kitchen area was very nice. If you were staying for a week or so it would be very handy. The living room area was also very nice. The bath tub could be updated but that was our only problem in the room. The water park was nice. My little boy loved the childrens area. I wish they had some open water slides. I cant stand being closed in. . The pools were all very nice.

This was our first time at the Resort. The kids loved it. They close the pool every 2 hours to clean for 30 minutes. I love that they do this to keep everyone safe. The rooms are great. We had a full sized kitchen stocked with cups, plates, utensils, and cookware. It was nice having a dishwasher, washer, and dryer in our room.we will definitely be back.

The Resort at Governor’s Crossing is a good resort for entertainment. They have a small indoor/outdoor water park located within the resort that provides hours of fun for the little ones. Staff are very helpful and friendly, quick to resolve any issues you might run into with the rooms. Once the sun has set, you can continue to enjoy the night with 3 fire pits outside, however, those pits always seemed occupied and would require patience to attain a spot. Definitely worth a visit!

Its alright. I would rather be in a cabin, but this place did have short notice reservations. Everyone here has been nice and rooms are good and clean

Very much enjoyed our stay! The only downside is that you must leave a photo ID at the front desk in order to get a putt putt club and ball. I understand the need of making sure they are returned, however you are required to wear a wristband that functions as a guest ID and room key, why not “check out” clubs on the wristband and then charge the room if they are not returned. Walking from the room to the water park I do not carry a wallet with my ID due to security purposes. There wer times during cleaning of the pool we would want to enjoy a game of putt putt and I would have had to walk with my kiddos to the room in the building farthest from the office to get my ID, by the time we did all that it was time to get back into the pool! The wristband needs to become the “key to the resort” aka everything and anything can be done on the wristband!

My husband and I stayed in a cabin last time we were in town. This time, he had me pick out a hotel.PROS*Very friendly staff - greet you every time you come in and out of the lobby*Beautiful balcony view - ours had the city majority of the view but enjoyed seeing mountains off in distance*Great winter season feel - we loved the firepits, the Rubiks Cube like Christmas tree in the lobby and the lights put up in back*Good sized kitchen and room*Great equipment to haul your bags up and down*We had a room close to the elevator - never once did it bother us, we even forgot we were that close to one!*Check in and check out process was quick and easy*Front Desk has a little pantry of things you can buy like sunscreen and laundry detergent*Tub was a Jacuzzi tub - kind of had to figure out how to use it since there wasnt an instructional card or anything. The on-off button is easy to finish but the other two dials were difficult to figure out what they did.PROS/CONS*The keycard is a wristband that is not removable once you snap it on. I snapped mine on loosely so it could be pulled off and put safely in a pocket. Nothing screams tourist more like a bright green wristband. We do like that the minors and children have different colors to help them identify who needs supervision.*Thermostat doesnt go below 67. We had it sit there most days at 67 and it was comfortable for while we were there but thought it was weird it didnt go any lower.CONS*Beds are firm. We were able to sleep but they were firm.Overall this is a great place to stay at. All the people we talked to were super friendly and we wished we had experienced more like actually sitting out at the firepits and checking out the steam room. Maybe next time!

Our room was very clean and the staff was very friendly. My children really enjoyed the ice skating. I wish we could have reserved a fire pit though. It was annoying everytime we went to the cove all 3 fire pits were full.

BED BUGS!!!!!! We had fun at this resort, however, 2 families in our group developed SEVERE BED BUG BITES requiring medical treatment. Stay away!!!!!!

We had planned to stay a week at the resort, but on our way one of our children got sick and we caused us to turn around and cancel. Not only was Beverly and Kim (Manager) pleasant to help us with our situation, they refunded our charges in full without any penalties. Each time we called during our booking with questions all the staff was helpful and knowledgeable. We look forward to staying here in the near future and thank you again for being so accommodating to our situation.

Best hotel to ever stay at!! With or without kids! But our kids ages 2-14 yrs loved it more than anything! Loved how they have different activities every day for all the kids and the water parks inside and outside. The kid areas are a blast especially the outside one!

Room was awesome had everything we needed for a family evacuating from a hurricane. The water park kept us entertained the whole stay. Very clean!!!

I had so much fun here! Went for 4 days, and never ran out of things to do! We had a problem with our room, but it was sorted out quickly thanks to the helpful staff. So many fun slides for all ages, and activities including outdoor movies for little ones. The waterparks were awesomely fun, never got bored. Good price, big rooms, clean and updated. The staff and lifeguards were so sweet and friendly. Cant even discribe the fun I had here!

Anyone with a family will want to consider this place. Great family oriented establishment. Outdoor and indoor water park. Outdoor miniature golf created as well as gas fire places for s’mores. On certain days they also have move nights outside by the fire pits where hammocks are available (consider bringing your own if you have one since there are posts setup). Having a kitchen was perfect as well for making dinner vs eating out at the local restaurants.

Just opened the door to room and wow it was so clean. Stayed all week and loved it great service ...Water park was very nice...loved the lazy river...

Management is a complete joke, the way they treat employees when they think no ones around is awful. Dont take your eyes of your kids for a moment I saw a woman from front desk in full clothes and shoes acting as the life guard, with no training!!!! THIS PLACE IS A TICKING TIME BOMB!! It should be shut down, completely unprofessional a completel safety hazard. There is no redeemable quality for this place. They need to clean house and try again. Nothing more than a cheap attempt at making a 2nd wilderness. Just spend a lil more and go to a real resort.

Nice rooms. Plenty off room for 6 of us. Neat things for the kids to do. Good family setup at what I felt like was a reasonable price. Liked the outdoor setup. A few hammocks and places for an outside fire. They did an outdoor movie, The Little Mermaid, gave away popcorn. Outside pool was nice with a little lazy river setup. Had a 9 hole putt putt course as well.

So so pleased with our visit here. You really cant beat getting a suite with a full kitchen for such a great price. The water park is smaller than other water parks in the area but its also much less expensive and my kids loved it! We will definitely be coming here again.

Really good place to stay a few years ago. Some of the rooms are starting to deteriorate. Close to everything in Pigeon Forge, but off the main strip so you can relax as well. A good amount of amenities that the kids will enjoy.

Great place for families. Affordable, spacious, lots to do if you dont have the money or dont want to run around doing all the touristy things around. Our kids wouldve been fine just playing at the resort all day and not leaving at all! But we wanted to do the touristy things so we loved that it was close enough to all the attractions to be convenient but far enough away that you werent bombarded by the crowds as much. Another thing I liked was that the water parks are open until 11pm.

This is a nice property. Close to several restaurants and shop centers.Minutes from Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. I would have gave 5 stars but I feel there should be mire parking spaces for the size of this property. Beautiful room. Beautiful view. We had a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom condo. The two bedrooms were separated by the living room, kitchen and dining room. Each bedroom had its own full bathroom. Perfect layout for privacy!

We were disappointed upon arrival to find that the indoor water slides had to be closed for maintenance. Even though the facilities were great, but we decided to go to another destination since the kids wanted to be at a water park for this trip. That being said, when I spoke to management, the GM reached out to me immediately to see how they could make things right. They were very kind and generous helping us rearrange our plans so that we can come back at a time when all of the facilities are available. We will definitely be back for a return trip! This will be a great place to take the kids. Its all you would expect for a nice family getaway. The rooms were very spacious and clean and all the staff were very courteous and helpful.

As a member did not receive any thing from the welcome center. I had to search restaurants and where to go from other guest who had reservations.

Positive: Nothing Negative: First room was terrible! They put us in what they said was the newer edition which is more like the pictures show but there was still food crumbs under the mattress, dirty wash cloth hanging over the shower curtain, etc. not enough characters to explain.

Wonderful staff. Wonderful place. Comfy beds. The pictures do make it seem. Bigger than it actually is. Indoor slides hurt your back and/or elbows if you choose to ride them. The could use an update. Blue slide is fast and adult friendly. Balance log is only for those 150lb or less.Lifeguard called out my wife, and she is nowhere near that weight. So, dont be offended.

Positive: We loved the water park area! They did a fabulous job cleaning it and my kids didnâ€t want to leave! The room was also spacious and perfect for our family of 5. Negative: I canâ€t think of anything.

Poor customer service oh breakfast? Was promised complimentary breakfast.. prior to booking nothing was provided.. I apologize for such a poor rating BUT as listed above didnt give me any choice..

My sister and I took my 11 year old down for a long weekend. From the time we got there, we were extremely satisfied with everything. We lived it up and left the condo for the pool CONTINUOUSLY! We will be back!!

Definitely and older hotel, room was full of old, fake potted plants and flowers covered in a thick layer of dust. Pools and slides were nice, but other amenities were definitely lacking. Id probably stay here again, but am well prepared for what to expect.

Great place to stay when visiting Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge. The rooms were very nice and clean. The staff was extremely friendly. Chandler checked me in and Sally checked me out. Both were awesome to talk with! I look forward to staying again.

Beautiful spacious rooms. The outside was decorated. So pretty...check ot out. They have activitoes for the kids. Each night of till end of. Oct. You can get smores kits. Buy a pumpkin. Sit by the fire they had an outside movie for the kids and a huge indoor put door pool with a big slide.only down fall our view was facing the dump...i cant. Imagine what that would smell like on anhot shmmer day when u went outside lol. We stayed in room 4311 ...i can overlook the view .

The staff were very friendly. The rooms were clean and great size. We had the two bedroom, two bath condo with balcony overlooking pool area. The Kitchen was set up with modern amenities with washer and dryer. The set up is great for families. Indoor pool and outdoor pool with water slides and lazy river. Close proximity to many restaurants, Walmart and minutes away from great attractions. The kids loved that they had a blow up movie screen for movies by the pool on Tuesday nights. We definitely will book here again.

Man what an awesome place top stay. Great water park for the kids. Rooms are great, we have a 1 bedroom suite and have six in our party. We fit fine! Definitely recommend.

The pools are nice, if you actually get to swim in them. If there’s any type of dark cloud they shut the outside pool down and tell everyone to go inside, which would be fine if there wasn’t a limit of 50 people for the inside pool. Most people end up getting turned away. The front desk staff was also extremely rude during our stay. You would think when you’re paying at least $250 a night (on the weekend) they would be a little nicer. We stayed two nights and ended up extending our trip a third night but had to switch room type because they were sold out of our original room, we had to be out of our original room by 10 AM and couldn’t get into the second room until 4 PM, it would’ve been nice if they would’ve at least TRIED to get us into the second room sooner considering we had stayed the previous two nights so we were technically a “stay over”, but they didn’t. Basically just shrugged us off. If I could’ve cancelled and gotten a refund I wouldn’t have even stayed here another night. I definitely do NOT recommend this place unless you plan on having zero contact with the staff or don’t mind being kicked out of the pool several times a day.

I stayed here back in August with my wife, daughter, son-in-law and grand daughter mainly for the water park they have. When we got into our room we noticed that the room had not been thoroughly cleaned. Hairs were on the bed, food was in the drain, bathroom floors were dirty and the room had a musty smell. So we called the front desk and immediately 2 evening supervisors came up and apologized as well as had the room cleaned again. Apparently this was not enough because two days later I started getting sick. Now I do have allergies, but I got so sick by the time I returned home that I had to go to the doctor to help me get over whatever I had. With the time we are living in all I thought about was that I hope this is not covid. Fortunately it was just a bad allergy attack and eventually the medication got me better. So now we all decided to go back about a month or so later and this when making the reservation I asked them to make sure the room was thoroughly cleaned and the filters for the HVAC system was changed because i didnt want to take any chances. So of course when we arrived in the room this time I found that the filter was not only dirtyand had not been change, but there was a thick layer of dust build up on all the vent registers. So I called the front desk and asked for someone to come change the filter and clean the dust of the vents. They sent up the maintenance guy but he came only to change the fitter and not to clean the vents. So I called the front desk again this time asking for the General Manager. I had mentioned our request when we made the reservation about the room and filter being properly cleaned. His response to me was that the filter had recently been changed and the maintenance changed it again. That was it. No apologies or anything else. However the maintenance guy did come back and clean the vents even though it was not his fault. So if it was not for the water park and watching my grand daughter having fun i would have rated this lower than what I did. Inwould say this to the General Manager, In times like we are living in and people are very cautious about coming out any ways, you need not have your cleaning crew step up and do a better job, but you sir need to listen more to the customers during this time before others get sick.

Its very nice my kids are having a GREAT TIME!! It is not to pricey. 10 of its 900 bucks 2 nights. but very big rooms very nice condo. And a very nice place.

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT STAY HERE! My family just left this resort, first things first what they do not tell you when booking is that the playgrounds, gyms, and arcades are completely closed. All the other arcades in the city are open even right across the street but not here. However your rate is not comped for it. The indoor pool is capped at 50 people and they close the pool every two hours to clean which entails someone going around and spraying a few chairs with a spray bottle.Secondly they say the building was just updated but we stayed in two diff rooms and everything was old and musty. The carpets in the hallway were tearing and coming up and everything was broken. During our stay one of the two elevators was down the entire time which meant there was one elevator for the entire building to use and that includes maintenance.Thirdly, our first day there the bathroom sink would not pour any cold water. Something housekeeping should’ve caught when cleaning because it was streaming nothing. We gave up an entire afternoon because we had to be there to let the maintenance guy in and out for four different trips to get it fixed correctly.The kitchens do not have a standard set up. The supplies we had in one suite were completely different from the other so if you need something particular bring it yourself because you don’t know what you’re gonna get. It’s like a hodge podge of whatever people leave behind.Lastly and where our experience really went south... we moved up to a three bedroom on the second half of our trip. When I was getting ready on our last day the decorative wood covering the bathroom counter completely fell off when I walked up to brush my teeth. It was a clean break like it just lost its seal. It landed on my foot leaving an obvious cut and welt. I called the manager up to write the report while I iced my foot. The manager came up and took the report and the board and told me I could get a copy of the report later that afternoon. My husband and I stopped in after lunch to get the report. We were then told by another manager that she would not be giving us a copy of the report, there was nothing she would be doing for us because I was obviously fine if I was walking and then refused to give me the number to corporate when I asked. She told me I would just be getting her so she wouldn’t be giving me the number because it’s pointless. NEVER RECEIVED AN APOLOGY OR ANYTHING FOR DAMAGE I RECEIVED DUE TO THEIR MISHAP. Thankfully it fell on my foot and neither of my toddlers who had been using that sink as well. For the money we spent here and the quality and amenities we received don’t waste your time. Go up the road to the other water park where everything is open and not restricted.

This place is awesome. The waterpark is very fun. The rooms were also nice. Great place to stay at!

We stayed for 3 nights and this place is not well maintained at all. They painted over holes in the walls rather than properly repairing them. The rooms were not dusted for quite sometime, there was mold on the tub, the tile floor was disgusting, light fixtures improperly installed, disgusting vent in bathroom has not been cleaned in years, the bed spread was disgusting. When we checked into the room there was hair in the tub and the previous guests food was in the refrigerator. The room had a horrible smell and was not cleaned properly before we arrived. The pool is not clean and well maintained. The slide was rusty and in disrepair and looks like a potent entail safety hazard. The internet does not work and according to the front desk has not worked for some time. DO NOT STAY HERE!! See my photos!!

Great place to stay. Room was clean and a great price. Loved the movie on Thursday night.

What’s the point in booking the room you want if you can get the room you asked for but still have to pay the same amount don’t recommend

This is our 4th time at the resort. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. I love the reno. This is our 1st summer visit. Son is very excited to get in the outdoor pools and ride the lazy river. The staff is always nice and friendly.

The water park was a lot of fun for the kids. The rooms were a nice size with a kitchen and some privacy for the adults. The putt putt course was lame. The only issue we had was the hair dryer didn’t work. My wife called twice to get it fixed and walked down to the lobby once but they never fixed it.

Excellent for large families with kids of a variety of ages! Happy children: teens to toddlers and relaxing for parents
