This cabin was tucked back in the hills about a mile off of the main road. Positives were secluded, had everything you need to cook, jacuzzi tub and hot tub.The negatives were fireplace was off limits as it would freeze the AC unit if used,$ fee if this happens. Stairs around 45 stairs to the front door. Jacuzzi curling lights were burnt out and no spare lights were available. Direct TV didnt work in the bedroom,I understand that depending on your visit the trees could be blocking signal. The bed was hard and as in other reviews didnt seem to be a queen. I have a queen at home and its larger than the bed at the cabin. Rocking chairs showed in pictures were not there in reality. And furnace filter in the floor cold air return hadnt been changed in some time very dirty.Over all this is a nice little cabin to stay in. We didnt bother the owner over our complaints because they are minor and we enjoyed our stay in the cabin immensely. Would have given it a 5 star if the lights had worked and we could have used the fire place.if I was told fireplace was off limits during this time it would not have bothered me, its advertised as having a fireplace then once you arrive you cant use it, a real bummer lol.Like I said over all a great stay.

Beautiful neighborhood. Lots of beautiful Shady trees . Log cabins are in excellent shape. Lawn is well-maintained. All of the cabins are occupied with either owners or renters at any given time. The front office, tennis court, and pool were all part of the resort which is separate from the cabin neighborhood. That part was closed a few years ago. The cabin neighborhood is still going strong in 2018.

The cabin is cute, really liked it but the road to get to it was far from perfect it said motorcycle friendly and i guess it was we made it but its a really steep hill with a curve in the middle of it thats even hard on a car, when you get past that the hill going up to the drive way is extremely steep on a motorcycle and the driveway is a drop off then a sorta flat spot.

It seems Echota was once a Resort with a functioning pool, tennis court, office and it still has a stone sign once you enter the neighborhood. Do not know what happened and I really dont care because when I rented a cabin down here I did not even know it was located in a once upon a time resort. I fell in love with the pics of the cabin and did know nothing about location, amenities because they were not advertised in the listing at all.Facts:1. Roads- Very accessible2. Location- Once you come out of Echota, there is a road called Winfield Dunn Parkway which is literally in front of The Wilderness of the Smokies ( like Great Wolf Lodge), steps away from the Convention center of Sevierville, 1 minute drive from CVS, Zaxbys, Cracker Barrel, Krogers, Lowes, starbucks, Staples, Pizza, Dunkin Donuts what ever you need is within a 1 minute drive. The Parkway of Sevierville is just around the corner. Pigeon forge- 10 minute drive.3. Safe- Safety is number one concern traveling with kids. I have rented before in places where the cabin is next to a trailer or so deep into the woods that I think a weirdo is coming to get us. Its true you are next to other cabins but that is what makes it a community . You feel secluded from all hustle and the commercialized areas, but within the city if you need anything.4. Privacy- It depends the cabin you choose even though some cabins are near by I felt in my own space.TIPS- If you are going only to stay around Sevierville or Dollywood stay in Echota, if you are only going to stay in Gatlinburg stay in Mountain Shadows Resort and if you want to do Gatlinburg/ Pigeon Forge and Smoky Mountain National park stay in SKY HARBOR which is in the middle of both.I no longer rent thru cabin rentals, I only do directly with owner thru VRBO/ homeaway. No more hassle needing to check in just arrive to your cabin and put security code and you are in. I have stayed in the 3 places listed above and each one has its enchantment depending on your needs. My favorite one SKY HARBOR because its in the mountain and there is bears up there.
