Such a relaxing Sunday day trip from Phoenix. Escaped town and reality for a day! Got there at about 8am with no line, when we left at about 2PM there was a line of cars waiting to get in. The hike isnt too bad from the parking lot to a decent spot with hardly any crowd. Piece of advice pack light, only pack what u need quick lunch and water with hiking shoes and water shoes to switch. Grills are taped up due to fire restrictions when we were there however people carried their own grills (dedication) we did sandwiches/chips.
I love the black berries and peaches that grow here in the summer.I love how its not crowded, as a local, is rare to enjoy. There is a nice picnic table to use any enjoy, the water is deep enough to swim in the middle and is a intimate, being encased with the red rocks that surround is end portion of the stream. You wont find much trash here, but if you do come, bring a nice little bag with you to pick bottle caps and little plastic things up, please. It helps keep this place beautiful. Be grateful for the beauty that the earth has for us to enjoy. If you get lost going a different way, people walking up or down are usually in the same pickle or are more than willing to point you in the right direction. It not hard to find but its a walk.
Great little beach with plenty of swimming nestled against cathedral rock. More suitable for teens-adults. A quick 20 minute walk from the parking lot of Crescent Moon day use area. Bring shoes suitable for a light hike.
This is a beautiful place except for all the visual graffiti. Although there are no signs about building rock stacks, it is prohibited within the Coconino National Forest. Please be considerate as scorpions, lizards, insects and snakes tend to live under the stones. Live and let live.
This is a small piece of paradise! After a nice hike up Baldwin trail to swim and relax with breathtaking views. Midday can be busy so go early or later in the day.
Stay away this is my spot. Lol but seriously this place is zen, if ur loud please go to grasshopper point. Keep it peaceful pleasee
It is a bit of a hike to get there, but it is totally worth it. It is also possible to bike there, if you know what you are doing.I came to it on the trail connecting with Cathedral Rock. For someone out of shape, it took me probably 25 minutes to get there.I felt a calming energy of refreshment when I got in proximity to the “beach.” The rush of the water was beautiful. The view was amazing, being immersed and grounded among dirt, trees, and smooth rocks.
There were cairnes gently stacked about the flat surface right near the entrance to the water. There was just such a calmness to the environment.
Great hidden spot away from the hustle and bustle to get some swimming in with gorgeous views along the way!
Get there early. 8 am or sooner. Beautiful scenic area with lots of spots to set up for the day. Bring a wagon for all your gear to maneuver through the bumpy dirt pathways. Some days theres no charcoal allowed. So table or stand alone propane grills are the best option. Parking is 10 per car and 2 for walk up pedestrians, currently. Water shoes a must. Canopy tents are a good idea since umbrellas are hard to put in the ground. Ground is compacted clay or boulders. Bring trash bags, dont let trash in the river. Enjoy
A relatively easy hike by the creek. I loved it!
Beautiful, piecefull and really enjoyable place for hike, swim and just relax. Amazing view and water just perfect
Such a cute, secret little spot! Cool waters and beautiful scenery of course!
Buddah Beach is a beautiful and peaceful place. The are several opportunities for photographs of the cairns people have built, Oak Creek, the surrounding mountains, and nature in general. Take the time to build your own cairn if you like but please dont disturb the ones already placed. (Someone was kicking them down when I was there.) They are built in a place where the creek will knock them down when its their time. The beach has several different areas where you can access and enter the water, if you wish to. Or you can just sit and enjoy the sounds of the babbling creek. Take a picnic, but be sure to carry out anything you bring in. The are several trails to walk along and/or hike. Feel free to explore but stay on the paths, so as to maintain the health of the natural areas and habitats. The trails also continue on through the Red Rock wilderness, if you feel like going farther out. There are trash cans, vending machines, and restrooms at Crescent Moon State Park, where you can park and walk about a quarter mile out to Buddah Beach. The park requires a $10 parking fee for a regular vehicle with 4 or less people - its $2 more per person after that. The park closes at dusk, so be sure to plan accordingly.
Loved this location the one amazing thing about this location is when you are walking through the path everything is shaded because of the trees! Its incredible views. I would recommend getting there extremely early because we got lucky with the last parking spot. When we left there was a line of cars packed outside! Also it costs 11 dollars to enter for the whole day. They do take credit cards!
Nice little bodies of water . Lots of shade .
Walk along Oak Creek for about 1-2 miles is recommended. It is a peaceful, scenic thing to do from Crescent Moon parking lot. Swimming holes and wading in river during warm weather - a place to cool-off on hot days in the shade of towering trees along cool stream.
Nice place to get away from the city. Bathrooms are just one step from an outhouse,so go before you go.
So beautiful! Right on Oak creek. Easy to cross to get to templeton & Baldwin...but be ready to take your shoes off.
Not sure this is a beach but there is water flowing by that you can play in and a place sit (on a red rock) and dry off. Or better look up the creek and watch it tumble towards you a huge butte up above.
9ne of my favorite spots in Sedona. Great place to take the family and play in the water on hot days.
This hike is one of my favorites. Peaceful, easy going, and it’s good for all ages, and dog friendly. I bring everyone on this hike, especially people who aren’t from Phoenix and don’t know that we have running water or trees in the state.
Great hike, a bit tricky from parking area at slickrock parkin. Take first small path to left down to river
Beautiful place for a short walk or a more intense hike. The river and trees make for an exceptionally beautiful walking trail.
Beautiful and mystical place, naturalnpools, creeks run through the area, great place for a picnic and relaxing.
Place is amazing. Must see. Would visit again forsure
Excellent walk along the creek
Having Fun with friends from Canada
Amazing location. You can feel the power. Tons of twisted junipers and lighting struck trees. A serious hot spot. Great hike. We crossed oak creek and jumped onto templeton trail. Highly recommend.
Great easy walk to the beach
Little easy walk, absolutely stunning piece of nature
Very nice and quiet place!! Prefect for a refreshing bath
Beautiful spot if the cairns woukd disappear
Great day
Amazing river spot great hike to a relaxed afternoon in the river
Very nice and easy hikes, good place for swimming
Peace and quiet I guess I got lucky. I was basically there by myself. Easy paths.
Great place for a rest and a picnic.
One of the best places in Sedona. Not as crowded as slide rock and lots of little coves to hide out in.
We passed by this while on Templeton trail. It was a nice little spot to take a break. We saw a couple on the other side who jumped in the water to swim. I wouldnt go out of the way to visit but if you are hiking on the trail it is a good stop.
If you like to see some stacked rocks - I guess you will like it here. The actual budda beach is uneventful but the hike getting there is beautiful!
Beautiful view of the backside of Cathedral Rock. This was a nice flat hike. Unlike going up the actual Cathedral Rock.
Easy, beautiful walk. Amazing views.
I dont have the words to express how mondblowingly peaceful this place is. Anytime of the year, anytime of the day!Try coming out for a night photography session and you’ll be completely mesmerized!
Great place to catch crawdads and go fishing. Water is clear and chest height. Be prepared for a bit of a walk to get there and the parking lot fills up fast.
Beutiful trails and nice locals!
Kind of creepy, but very beautiful
Absolutely peaceful and beautiful!!
One of the must visit ateas in Sedona
My mom and I took my kids here and we really liked it. It wasnt as busy as slide rock. Its really pretty. I recommend checking it out.
Tranquil, peaceful, and quiet. Go early, stay until you agree saturated. Youll be glad.
Great place. Beautiful area. Enjoy the back of Cathedral Rock.
One of our favorite places to go on a hot day. Brought friends from out of town this week and had a big swimming hole all to ourselves for the afternoon. The big groups dont tend to venture to far upstream so if youre looking for more seclusion just keep following the creek until the people start thinning out. Amazing views of Cathedral Rock while swimming in cool clear waters... couldnt ask for a better summer day!
Personally, I didnt like the place at all... Its just over hyped for the name and literally, theres nothing to expect. You may have a different opinion. But, as far as I understood, its just for another attraction for namesake inside the park... I feel that the rest of the area inside the Crescent moon park is relatively good for an evening walk and stargazing at night ...
Absolutely stunning
Dont miss it. It is a hike from Red rock state Park, but worth it.
A nice quiet place to relax for the afternoon. Plenty of shall water to bring kids into. I would recommend going in the summer if you wanted to play in the river and cool off for the day.
Nice to go hiking along by the river.
Very scenic. Easy hike to the water, and a connecting trail that leads to cathedral rock.
Breath taking
Fantastic, tranquil, good smelling, watch for barbed wire or throny plants, cut my legs up. Water is crystal clear. Sound is amazing. Very awesome place.
Great little hike.
Kids loved the water. It was an especially hot day. We hiked the trail and got back to soak in the cool water.
Such a beautiful an majestic place! Wish i could of spent more time here. Easy hike for those looking for something beginner. Can cool of either on the creek or Buddha beach. Vortex area as well for those interested in energies. Highly recommend to spend a nice afternoon
Very peaceful place to spend an afternoon. Visit to Sedona. A must see.
All tails waggin!
Serene and sacred
Beautiful ! Lots of space to swim and play with easy access to the water.
The view is absolutely breathtaking. The major inconvenience is that the river is too crowded with families and tourists, therefore the view is frequently obscured, unless you walk/swim further along the river.
Beautiful place
Water in the middle of a dessert is always special
Great place to swim and hang out with other people. If you hike in far enough, you can even find secluded beaches to relax and get away from people (look at photos posted by myself). Nice place to visit near sedona.
It was a nice, tranquil place with good views. Lots of rock to build with.
Ive been going to Buddha Beach for years. Such a unique and picturesque place. Unfortunately recent flooding this past wet winter, destroyed most of what was the allure of the beach. The landscape has been completely changed by fallen,.uprooted trees and flood debris. At the moment navigating the area is a bit difficult. So sad.
This is one of our favorite spots in Sedona.
Nice short hike had alot of fun and scenery was beautiful nice place for a picnic
Absolutely gorgeous! Nice hike full of beautiful scenery
A nice swimming spot for kids to play along the creek, at the end of a mild hike. Ages 4+ will do fine on the hike. Keep hiking to access Cathedral Rock from the less crowded south side.
Come here every year. Good swimming hole right under Cathedral Rock.
Awesome bike along Oak Creek. We added the Blandin loop for a really good stretch.
Not many people are willing to take the walk down there, if you are, then you are going to be very pleased!
Amazing place! Hiked along the river, built a stacker! People stack n leave them there. I even found stackers on tree branches and practically growing around it! So cool.... Its so satisfying...
Nice cool water, fun time
We had a lovely time. There is a nice hike up to the rock formation with spectacular views of the area & then a swim in one of the two pool is, just the ticket for am afternoon outing. The first pool on the way up is better, but more crouded. Take bug spray.
This place is beautiful! Not hidden at all, but you have to pay a 10 dollar minimum to even enter the park. Its not too bad of a pro e unless you try and go to other parks I. The same day. The cost adds up but it is seriously worth it!
Great
Nice place for a long walk by the creek.
If you can get here before the tourists come, its awesome. Otherwise you have to deal with inconsiderate tourists who take over the beach with their tents and umbrellas and coolers and dont actually get in.
Most amazing experience the first time at the vortex buddha beach was so neat
If you are in the area, this is a must stop! So peaceful! All the guests were respectful of other visitors and the environment! Hard to believe we were in Sedona, which was very crowded and chaotic with visitors. We very much enjoyed our experience here!
