This place seems to be an unknown gem. Theres a large parking lot. bring your recycling as there are recycling bins here also. It has access to great trails like Girder and outer limits. Bring your smile
Excellent trails for hiking, biking and horseback. The trails are well maintained and we only saw one piece of glass (per a previous review). There are some beautiful vistas once you get past looking at the homes. We walked 5 miles out and back on the Girdner trail and along the Dry Creek. It’s a very peaceful and serene walk and not overly strenuous. I highly recommend it.
Beautiful 3-4 flat hike perfect for dawn or dusk
Beautiful view. I didnt hike but it looks lovely.
The most beautiful place Ive ever been. A great, well marked trail system. Check out google earth for views of the trail if you cant get there in person.
Beautiful, what else can you say?
Awesome views and low traffic
Beautiful trails. Wish had for garbages so was easier to picnic out there.
Best place for sunsets
Great hiking trails! Trails for every skill level. A very fun, inexpensive activity as all you have to purchase is a $5 parking pass. Easy to find. Beautiful views of the surrounding mountains from your trails. Definitely an activity that you dont want to miss if you are staying in the area.
Numerous scenic hikes from the trailhead can not go wrong
Beautiful, serene, a babbling brook to greet you halfway there.
Nice, easy hike. Asphalted pathways to keep people off the dirt and plants. Information signs about the various plants.
Lots of parking and trails here but no water or restrooms
Great vistas, free parking, easy access to multiple trails. Several trails are easy hikes.
Such a scenic place. Pics dont do the mtns justice. Peaceful.
Im not in love with this place bec there is broken glass everywhere. I walk with my dogs and it doesnt feel safe for them. It has a beautiful view and it is a nice walk. Some trail is paved. Which is very nice!
Great place to watch the sunset and to see the late day sun reflect off of red rocks to the east. Less crowded than the Sedona Airport viewing area and its free. Be careful of the potholes as you enter the park
So amazing had a spiritual experience here and was worth it the views from the dirt parking lot past the recycle containers are so worth it!
Best underrated sunset spot on Sedona
Beautiful
4 trailheads here now, from very easy to quite challenging for hikes/walks
Beautiful Views.
Great jumping off point for many of Sedonas westernmost trails, including Girdner, Western Civilization, New Frontier, Dawa, and Coxcomb. Many loops can be ridden or hiked from here. Also a nice spot to park and watch the sunset, especially if you want to skip the fee and the crowds at Airport Mesa.
Good starting point.
Nice easy walk to views
Great hiking location.
The road is rough used commonly bite Jeep tours for a short hike of an amazing overlook
Great little hidden spot. Some nice trails and 2 picnic tables.
I often grab lunch to go and park here to eat it. Such a beautiful quiet place to just enjoy a few moments in a busy day.
This is the best trailhead youll ever find within a quarter mile radius. if you go at night you can find scorpions all over and tarantulas and all sorts of cool stuff. on nice clear nights you can look south to see cottonwood, or maybe even jerome, no one knows for sure but its good.there is at least 1 cactus here.watch out for black widow spiders. they will murder the sh*it out of you and they are everywhere. this is probably the coolest place ever.
Must go check it out!
Variety of trails from leisurely to rugged.
A very nice place for AWESOME SUNSETS!
Love the sunset from here and free parking
