For a beautiful Sunday, I was grateful the park wasnt overly crowded. All the parents, grandparents, and so on had their masks on the children had fun sharing the space and all seemed to not cluster. We had a so.fearful morning playing in the park, climbing ladders, going down slides, and swinging on swings.

The dog park is in the very back of the park. Follow the road until it ends then walk to the end of the side walk. The Dog park is what I visited this park for. It doesnt have much grass and for the most part is fine dirt. It does have water available for the dogs. And there is a dog wash machine I have never seen before. But sure looks cool, its by the restrooms. The park itself seems like a fun place to walk and bbq during the winter months. Play grounds are scattered throughout.

Tuckers Grove Park is a freaking awesome park!!! I was initially going to give it 4 stars because there was no water running in the streams as described on sites referencing Tuckers Grove Park; however, remembered this is California and clean, potable water is definitely a limited resource here unlike in Colorado where you can literally just put your cup up to a mountain and drink. The parking lot is a very good walk in and of itself as far as getting in steps or having a good 30 minutes of exercise in just incase you show up and there are so many folks that you dont feel comfortable walking in the park itself and would rather just walk the lot.

Still a wonderful place to get away from things. In 50+ yrs of enjoyment, ive seen some changes to the Park but still an execellant green space to get away to.

Great easy hiking trail that makes about a 3 mile loop traveling along a rock/dirt path which criss crosses the seasonal river, and is regularly shaded by oaks. Theres a large regular lawn park area as well with several sections for different groups to play/loiter in, and Ive observed structures which are likely restrooms.Beware stickers on long haired dogs!.. The fox tail like sticker which are common in the area will burrow deeper and deeper into paw, or ear canal. I strongly recommend closely shaving any long/curly haired Santa Barbara canines. There did not seem to be any goats head stickers, or other hazardous stickers. This is snake country, so keep an eye out for rattlers sun bathing along the path. Theyll wander away when they see you, but if you dont notice each other until you step on them, its going to be a bad day.

Gorgeous. Make sure you walk passed the dog areas towards the creek. You can then walk along the creek for a long time with beautiful scenery. Very serene and mostly flat, so easy to do for all skill levels. Shaded so bring a light jacket early morning or late afternoon in winter

Atmosphere was awesome with spectacular mountain views. For pictures or for self own interests and for a peace of mind and quiet too..I to had the privilege of being at Tuckers Grove Park. For living in Santa Barbara for 10 years now, I cannot believe I havent been there.Im saying this to dog owners and those who enjoy the great out doors. I highly recommend everyone to visit Tuckers Grove. 5 Stars * * * * *

The off leash dog park can be hard to find. You go up the road to a big white gate in Kiwanis meadow. You walk around the gate up the hill and to the left and in the back is the dog park. It is very dirt filled with a little grass but it is quite large.

Tuckers Grove is a locals park. It has several large picnic areas for group events and parties. There is plenty of parking. If you take the road all the way to the back at ends at Kiwanis Grove where there is a popular dog park and many people take advantage of it.This is also the trailhead for a nice hike. It takes about an hour round trip if youre hiking at a quick pace. The trail crosses a couple of streams which when theres water you have to rock hop across. Part of the trail is under a canopy of trees. There is a variety of flowering plants. This is also a trail that is popular for cyclists. Not all the cyclists use a bell so you need to be on the alert for oncoming bikes. So when youre looking to get out and only have a limited amount of time to get some exercise and enjoy the outdoors Tuckers Grove is a great option for a hike.

The men who take care of the park probably have a thankless job in a lot of ways. So I have a great deal of compassion for them. At the same time I have only had negative encounters with them whenever I go there. Which is strange since I am generally just minding my own business and not doing anything out of the ordinary. Its almost as if they see a young female alone and see me as the perfect person to take their frustrations out on.Id like to say there has been an exception to this but so far it has not been the case. One care taker in particular borders on creepy with the level of hostility he seems to have towards me or possibly park goers.Beyond that its a nice piece of land and always has been. I have been going there since I was a little girl. Born and raised in Santa Barbara I am quite familiar with all of the parks in Santa Barbara County. I always dress running into the guys at Tuckers Grove.Im not sure what other parks they manage however. Im also not sure who to contact about their behavior. I suppose this review is a start!

There are hiking trails that take you up in the mountains which is nice. Its a great hike for beginners!BBQ pits are available for small parties and large. This is also a regular space where locals can relax on their lunch breaks. Great place for hiking, birthday parties, kids and dogs. There is a great hiking trail you can take that will take you nearly endlessly up into the mountains. There is also a large play ground for kids at the front entrance and lots of areas for party reservations. Tuckers grove has to be one of the best parks in Goleta, there are several playgrounds, hiking trails, places to barbecue and picnic benches, several bathrooms with easy access for handicapped individuals. Kiwanis Meadows on the exact opposite side of the park grounds is a place where you can take dogs as well.
