We always have a great time here. Im very discerning of dog parks because my dog is a service animal, and his safety is tantamount. The park itself is clean (no trash), has a clear pathway, plenty of areas for dogs to drink water, soft mulch and grass in the play areas and agility style equipment with no rust. Theres plenty of regulars at the park who make up a very positive community of responsible and friendly owners who are very mindful of their dogs. All in all, this is a very fun and easy place to visit with your dog. Highly recommend visiting if youre a local or a visitor.
I love this park because it has an adequate amount of activities, climbing and obstacle equipment, and resources such as water, benches, and shade. Additionally it has a chain link fence separating the large dogs from the smaller dogs so everyone can bark at each other and run up and down if they want and I can enjoy the play of large dogs while my small dogs are safe. There is adequate parking right alongside the perimeter of the fence. There is enough grass and of course squirrels populate the trees for the enjoyment and irritation of some dogs. Only downside is that entries and exits need to be timed so large and small dogs are not coming and going together within the same 6 or 8 ft enclosure. There is a double gate at that spot which is good for safety of the animals. Its very easy to find as its right on the main drag through Sanford. I call it 17-92 coming from Orlando area. The pictures are only of the small dog park, the other side is about 4 Xs larger, if not more.
Love taking my dog here! They have a small dog park area and both areas have lots of room. A nice walking path in the large dog area. Right by downtown Sanford which makes for a nice walk afterwards too.
Nice time with my rotti she had lots of room to run around.
This is located right by Pets by Judy - and blocks away from historic Sanford’s first street. I love how the big dogs and little dogs are separated. We’ve brought my parents dogs here dozens of times and it’s so cute to watch them interact with the little fur babies. I just adopted a small dog myself - and can’t wait to bring her here for some exercise and dog socialization.
Great place to let your dogs run free and have fun....also lights up at night.
Great place to bring small and big dogs because theyve got separate areas
EXCELLENT dog park with plenty of room, security for your Fido and benches in shade of mature oaks for you to relax while the doggies play. Plenty of scoopers and cans so end-trails need not become land mines. Only thing missing is waterfront for cooling down after playtime.
One of the nicest dog parks Ive visited. Well trees. The large dogs seem to be very well behaved. My little dog had lots of fun with them. Theres a small dog section too. A number of carrots dog exercise stands too.
I like this place. I took 1 star away due to not many seats, and the space is a lot smaller compared to the big dog park. Also, the entrance is on the opposite side from the seating. Im constantly having to keep an eye at the gate in case he runs out or...and I dont want to say..someone could easily just pick him up and go. There can be a lot of traffic at the main entrance and it can be difficult if you have more than one dog.
This is a great park, but one time I went there and there was an older couple there with two dogs. I walk in and say that my dog can get excited around smaller dogs. My dog barks at the couples small dog and the man starts saying how my dog is so bad and if he bites one of there dogs then he will shoot my dog, I was just standing there like my dog didn’t do anything wrong. The man was older and had a long grey beard... I guess that he thinks he is the owner of the park or something
Great medium sized park. Small dog area is tiny but the main focus is the medium/large dog area. Fully fenced of course. Many benches. All dogs were decently friendly when I went on a Sunday afternoon. There were like 10 dogs there total. Good amount of room and entertainment. The park is extremely clean. Walking sidewalk in the park with patches of grass. Hose sprayer to clean the dog at the end. Agility A-frame type toys for dogs to sniff around and climb on. Plenty if shade and clean water. Dog water fountains so you dont even need your own water bowl. Many trees, not too many distracting squirrels. Fun for dogs at least 6 months and up. Parking pretty limited. This park in in the same parking lot off 17-92 of pet rescue by Judy. Will definitely come back. Historic Sanford downtown river walk 1 mile away as well.
Great spot for dogs of all sizes
This is a great space as they have lots of obstacles for the dogs plenty of seating spread around. It is a bit small compared to the other parks we go to. So far my experience has been there are a good amount of people that come.
Super great dog park, love the area.
One of the best dog parks in the Seminole and Orange County areas
Great place for the babies to have fun ️
So many beautiful animals, and its a well kept park!!!
Always bring my pups here. They have fun and the dogs are all well behaved.
The park is pretty decent. I wish all of the water fountains work, but theres always at least 1 on. Its a nice place to bring my Aussie to stretch her legs and socialize. As with any park, theres tons of morons who come into the park with aggressive dogs, unsupervised small children (Im talking toddlers here), and those who like to spread their lung cancer through vapes and cigarettes.
Cleanest, nicest dog park in the area.
Nice place to do picnics and spend quite time with nature !!
Ive been going almost nightly the past few weeks, my dog loves this park, its clean theres things to play with, there are always dogs for mine to play with, theres water everywhere for the dogs hydration, all of the dog owners are nice and courteous. Theres a big park and a seperate small dog park for the wee ones. Its a great park.
Took my two pups here yesterday. They has a blast. The water fountains for the dogs were clean and not mucky with mold and the landscaping was lovely. They have obstacle courses throughout that one of my pupd absolutely loved. There are plenty of benches and shading and its right across the street from a well known animal rescue and rehabilitation center. Have to say though, the smaller animal park was a bit damp and dark towards the back and buggy but all in all i would definitely recommend to friends and family for a dog day at the park!
Large, open area with more dirt than grass... but lets face it, us big dogs are more like small cows-- how are we to expect a dog park to keep grass??? There are, however, plenty of smaller patches of grass perfect for your grazing needs. Cool obstacle setup for the more adventurous pup and a big, shaded dirt pile for those looking to relax and unwind on the weekend. The owners seem very well behaved and pretty much keep to themselves unless they need to pick up poop or break up the occasional disagreement. I give this a solid 9/10... also I am a good doggo.
First time back since the renovation, Im impressed, much nicer paw park than before.*UPDATE* Another visit. Brought my Goodboy today, ready to play, and the gate hasnt been opened. We waited from 7:45-8am, then left. Gates are suppose to open at 7:30. Wonder what the delay was...
I would love to give 5 stars, however people need to understand that they need to clean up after their dogs when they go a number 2. Also, I would appreciate it if people will get there dogs neutered before bringing them around other dogs in the Paw Park. When dogs arent neutered, they still try to assert dominance which results in fighting and vicious attacks.
Clean, well behaved pups, nice people not those cranky pet parents.
Great place to walk and bring your pets.
Great park. Big, but still easy to see all of it from any spot. Water, washing station, agility obstacles, shaded. Not much more you can ask for in a dog park.My dog had a blast.
People are nice and the dogs have a good time.
Great Park. I live in Orlando, but work in Seminole County. I pass by this park quite often and thought Id give it a try. Yesterday (4-20-2019) was my first day taking my dog there. We both had fun. Met other dog owners as well. Very helpful people. I will be going back.
Awesome park, always maintained and well-shaded with oaks so it feels cool. People are good about cleaning up after their dogs here (though I still dont recommend wearing flip flops), and most of them move around on the sidewalk instead of sitting and ignoring their dog. I always find good conversation, its a comfortable place to spend an hour walking about. The dogs are great, of course, many of them are regulars and know their manners with others. My dog LOVES this park and so do I.
Great dog park, spot for big dogs and one for small.. everyone seems happy and pleasant while there dogs are playing, great neighborhood and plenty of poop stations!
Great place for your s to around and play.
Cute spot with lots of room to run and an area for the smaller guys (:
Nice dog park. Some people are not the best at watching their dogs and a few can be aggressive and make it less fun for the rest of us. Sometimes we will go to the small dog area just to avoid them.
It was a great dog park. Ive been going here for years. Lately..there have been issues with small dog owners bringing their 10 to 20 pound dogs into the large section. This is causing major problems. There are size restrictions for a reason
Great park, always four legged friends for the dog to play with. Its great, 10/10!
Our pup loves this park. Very clean and well kept. Lots of water fountains for the fur children.
I think they Really Have stepped this place up, Super Cute, Love the layout, Artwork, Fun stuff for the pups, it Is a little small though. But that Sure Doesnt stop it from filling up. Fun stuff
Great fun for my dog, I love the paved sidewalk and benches for the humans to walk around.....wish there was a human bathroom on site, then I could stay longer.....
Paw Park is a very nice dog park. The small dog and large areas are very large. There is ample parking and numerous entrances in and out of the park. The automatic water fountains are a nice touch. Theres a nice dog bakery and self service dog wash business next door too.
Nice park to take the pups to
Good place to let a dog be a dog
Great dog park. Lots of shade, not a lot of dirt or mud. Water available for the pups. There is a small dog and large dog area.
Fun dogs. Sencethe bigger dogs are mostly nice u can bring your tiny ones in the bigger area.
Very good place to eat
Its a great park for dog, but some people must pay attention to the dogs...
Great park! Its big and shaded by gorgeous trees, even in the rain the park is lovely and a great spot for the furry friends.
My baby boy just loves yhis leash free park. He knows the route and gets all excited. Never had a bad experience .
This is a good place to take your dogs for off leash fun time. There are separate areas for small and large dogs, with plenty of shade and park benches for folks who want to sit. Parking can be a bit limited when lots of people are there, otherwise its fun for my dog.
Shaded large dog park and dog playground with lots of dog water fountains and benches
Shady with some obstacle fun... Very nice dogs the day we visited.
My dog enjoyed it, I didnt enjoy the lady that made a comment about not having my dog neutered.. umm lady he is 6 months old..
Very popular place, and humans like it too!
Large very nice area for your furry friend.
I love going to this park my dog love going to the park its a great place to let your dog run free safely. I can actually walk or run and workout with my dog. The dog owners that are there are attentive to their dog so its a great place for both going with your dog by yourself or making sure that your dog is getting its good exercise and playing with other doggies in a very nice safe environment.
This is a great dog park! There is a lot of open space for the pups to run and play with each other. There are also several watering stations and a wash station. They have a few obstacles set up for dogs and nice paths with benches for walks. There is also a small dog section (for dogs under 30 pounds). We will definitely be taking our pup back soon!
Great place to take your dog to interact with other dogs
Great fun and clean park. Its not the biggest but it a decent size. there is a dog wash/bakery across the street that has some good treats and there is also an animal shelter near there as well. My dog loved it at the park. there were ramps and hoops and water fountains. We will definitely be going back. I should also add there is a side for big and a side for small dogs so everyone can have fun.
Great little park with plenty of water for your dogs. Also two separate areas for large and small sized pets. Some obstacles also to get your pets some extra exercise.
We have been here twice & so far its okay. The park itself is decent but some of the patrons could use better etiquette.
Great dog park, my dogs love it!!!
If youre a dog lover like me, this is the place to let your pet run free. Fenced in shaded area located conveniently next to a pet groomers on the corner of 4th and 17-92 in Sanford
Great place! Its kept clean, and has plenty of parking!
Nice clean park lots of benches. The park is very open so you can keep an eye on your fur baby at all times. They have a fun dog agility course as well.
Very welcoming environment
Fun park with large spaces for small and large dogs.
Clean, friendly people and dogs
Great place to let your dog get his exercise
Well cared for dog park with many amenities for the dogs and benches for the people.
Lovely downtown area. Lots of unique shops and restaurants.
I love this dog park because its the first dog park in Sanford
There are some owners there that need to keep your dog on a leash. If you know your dog is aggressive then you should take proper steps to train them. Stop ruining it for other folks that can control their fur babies.
My babies love the park.
I give it a thumb up I have two puppys and they both love paw park
Adorable little dog park. Plenty of trash cans with poop bags provided. Enough trees for shade. Water fountains that have sensors so when the dogs walk up it fills with a small amount of water.
This place was clean for a doggie park! Very big and open but also fenced in. Its a great spot to bring my hyper beagle. Will be back.
Nice shaded area.. lots of dogs.. nice people..
Its a nice park.Lots of shade and benches.Busy in the afternoons.
The park is beautifully kept and its big enough for the big dogs to run around in but still small enough for it to be a social place. So everyone wasnt super spread out. Theres a lot of stray balls which my dog absolutely loved. Its located right next to a pet supply store and an animal shelter. Great place to get stuff for your pet while youre out there.
I take my dogs here every weekend morning. Great group of responsible pet owners and fun and playful dogs. Park is kept very clean and has fresh water fountains.
I love the way they remodel the park. My love it! Awesome job. Friendly s and very responsible owners! I love it!
Nice park. Clean and spacious. We love taking our fur babies here.
