Charming collage town. Plenty of free parking and public restrooms. So many shops and restaurants. Patios all over the streets so don’t worry it’s open here. Take your masks and hand sanitizer and you are good to go. The mission is closed but you can see it outside and enjoy the gardens all around it. Enjoy locale artists at the galleries and enjoy the San Louis obispo creek running through downtown.
Got robbed in the daytime in the middle of the mission plaza. I sat down to take a breather and someone rode by masked up on a bike, grabbed my bad, and got away. No one even tried to help or even call the cops. My prescription was in there my iPad, my sketchbooks and art supplies. Oh well theres nothing i can do..just be wary everyone..stay on your toes.
I took my 1.5yr old to see Santa and ride the carousel. She loved the carousel but cried for Santa. This us a fun quick spot to visit. My family also comes here year round for concerts and events. Great little park area but as always the parking in downtown SLO sucks.
Excellent traditional mission
Fun when there is a festival or music in the park. Nice and quiet otherwise to walk, sit and relax.
Beautiful! We had a lovely mass there.
Concerts in the Plaza during summer months! Good local bands
Just one of many in a chain apparently along California. i had no idea about the mustard seed trail to help the padres!
Its a beautiful place except for the horde of homeless people that hang out there
The walkway by the creek was clean and delightful.
We enjoyed walking through the park during the day. The walkway by the creek was clean and delightful. Unfortunately, due to the high number of homeless, I would not feel safe at night.
Fun atmosphere!!! Beautiful mission, nice river walk and good restaurants nearby. However lots of homeless people gather here making it uneasy to walk around by yourself/at night
Pleasant and the bells are wassup when youre chillin and they catch you by surprise.
Best smoke spot ever ong
What a great place for anything from a quiet picnic to live musicOne of slos coolest spots
Always a nice venue... for events or just to chill
Very beautiful face and I think I think Russia father Russell Brown love you all my heart may God bless and the Mission Church of San Luis Obispo amen
Gorgeous place, and they host a lot of fun events!
All the wildlife asking for smokes
Nice area. Tons of homless.
Great Place to get a ticket for something stupid. A Blemish on Californias coast.
I love this location. It seems to be the hub of so many local events. It is in the middle of a nice park. There are public restrooms and it is centrally located. The Mission Church is there as well as a gift shop where you can buy locally made things as well as commercial items. and now the COWS. Love this place. Peaceful and enjoyable for any occasion.
Great walking area, beautiful views. But you must be aware there is some homeless people here.
Very historical. The old mission is beautiful. The entire Mission Plaza area is attractive and often free events are presented. A must place to visit in San Luis Obispo.
Quiet around clean
A lot of missions in Ca. This was an old one, plenty of history.
Awsome historic spot and the icon of SLO. Ruined by bums, heroin users, and creek dwellers.
This mission plaza encompasses a block long area in front of the San Luis Obispo Mission. There are events most weekend and often during the week. The fountain, pergola, and amphitheater are always pleasant. The walk by the creek is connected to the plaza and goes for several block. A wonderful people watching location, surrounded by restaurants, shops and museums. The San Luis History Center, The San Luis Art Museum, and The San Luis Mission all are touching this beautiful well maintain mini park. Often it is a gathering place for transients, however they seem to keep to themselves.
Very quaint. The old mission is beautiful
Nice place to take a respite during your visit to downtown. A beautiful patch of greenery and with nice views with access to the creek if the kiddos want to splash around.
This is a beautidul location and would be a whole lot better, if people learned to respect it. There was tons of trash left all about and a lot of homeless in the area. Its a shame, such potential. Its a sharp contrast between the money and the poor. Walk it carefully as you WILL run into homelessness. SLO needs to pay more attention to this cool place. Invest money into it.
Historic area
This is one of my favorite places in downtown!I have a lot memory there!I did YOSAKOI dance with my friends at the friendship night when I was a student!
Lively plaza with immediate access to everything - the mission itself, the gallery, as well as retail stores and restaurants.
Good SLO City venue for community events.
Beautiful historic plaza. Many fun events held here. Parking is a nightmare.
This is a beautiful place to come and relax or take a stroll along the creek.
Concerts in the Plaza in the summer are a great local experience. Free music, spendy beer, fun times.
Cool architecture
Clean and picturesque
Concerts in the plaza in the summer is awesome!
You gotta check out the moon tree
Very nice place and educational.
Nice
Quiet place
Beautiful place to visit
A historical building...
Beautiful!
Im Catholic I attend church there
Very pieceful place.
There are public restrooms.
Gorgeous
The plaza has a tree called Moon tree, a coast redwood grown from a seed that was on Apollo 14s lunar Mission
Love this place except there too many homeless.
