Charming collage town. Plenty of free parking and public restrooms. So many shops and restaurants. Patios all over the streets so don’t worry it’s open here. Take your masks and hand sanitizer and you are good to go. The mission is closed but you can see it outside and enjoy the gardens all around it. Enjoy locale artists at the galleries and enjoy the San Louis obispo creek running through downtown.

Got robbed in the daytime in the middle of the mission plaza. I sat down to take a breather and someone rode by masked up on a bike, grabbed my bad, and got away. No one even tried to help or even call the cops. My prescription was in there my iPad, my sketchbooks and art supplies. Oh well theres nothing i can do..just be wary everyone..stay on your toes.

I took my 1.5yr old to see Santa and ride the carousel. She loved the carousel but cried for Santa. This us a fun quick spot to visit. My family also comes here year round for concerts and events. Great little park area but as always the parking in downtown SLO sucks.

We enjoyed walking through the park during the day. The walkway by the creek was clean and delightful. Unfortunately, due to the high number of homeless, I would not feel safe at night.

Fun atmosphere!!! Beautiful mission, nice river walk and good restaurants nearby. However lots of homeless people gather here making it uneasy to walk around by yourself/at night

I love this location. It seems to be the hub of so many local events. It is in the middle of a nice park. There are public restrooms and it is centrally located. The Mission Church is there as well as a gift shop where you can buy locally made things as well as commercial items. and now the COWS. Love this place. Peaceful and enjoyable for any occasion.

This mission plaza encompasses a block long area in front of the San Luis Obispo Mission. There are events most weekend and often during the week. The fountain, pergola, and amphitheater are always pleasant. The walk by the creek is connected to the plaza and goes for several block. A wonderful people watching location, surrounded by restaurants, shops and museums. The San Luis History Center, The San Luis Art Museum, and The San Luis Mission all are touching this beautiful well maintain mini park. Often it is a gathering place for transients, however they seem to keep to themselves.

Nice place to take a respite during your visit to downtown. A beautiful patch of greenery and with nice views with access to the creek if the kiddos want to splash around.

This is a beautidul location and would be a whole lot better, if people learned to respect it. There was tons of trash left all about and a lot of homeless in the area. Its a shame, such potential. Its a sharp contrast between the money and the poor. Walk it carefully as you WILL run into homelessness. SLO needs to pay more attention to this cool place. Invest money into it.
