My husband and I just finished the AMN Labs online escape room! We thought the puzzles were different from anything we have done before, and were just the right amount of challenging. We had to use a couple of hints, but we understood what to do after reading the first hint, and didnt require hints for each puzzle. We thought that the price was well worth the quality of the game. We hope that Puzzle Effect comes out with more of these in the future!

What a fun, wonderful team experience! This is a great team building exercise for families and coworkers. We did the Grim Stacks room and it was a great experience. The decorations and tech are super well done and add to the story.

I have alway had a good experience here! Once the pandemic hit they created an outdoor interactive type of escape room. Me and my friends decided to try it out and had so much fun!

Puzzle Effect has always exceeded our expectations and we live the family memories created solving all their puzzles.

The Puzzle Effect is Awesome! The puzzles are challenging but not too difficult. Great for a small group outing. I highly recommend you try it!

Such a fun experience. We did Curse on the Emerald Seas. The room was well done. The puzzles were well thought out. Everything flowed well throughout the game and ran smoothly. We had such an amazing time and hope to return for more escape games in the future if we are ever in the area again! Highly recommend.

I have visited the puzzle effect in SLO a few times. Each experience has been memorable and the staff was great. Even in the midst of COVID, they did a phenomenal job of keeping things sanitized and making everyone feel safe.

We had so much fun! We will definitely be back to try the other rooms!

I have done two escape rooms so far, and both were excellent! Highly recommend, had great customer service, and really enjoyable experience overall.

It was a blast! Loved it! Definitely not the “same old thing” ! I get tired of the movies so this a great alternative. I would have given it 5 stars except for 2 things. One, it’s kind of expensive for only one hour. Two, they really should give you 1 1/2 hours. There is a lot to figure out and like I said before, $35 per person for only one hour is expensive. I’m sure there are a lot of people that would love to do this but can’t afford it. Other than that I can’t think of a more entertaining thing to do with your friends!!

We had SO much fun here!!! The staff is great, informative, and helpful. We played the magic themed room to free the creature. Puzzle Effect DOES allow kids, which is awesome!

The experience at this escape room is hands down amazing! The place is immaculate and has a very warm and inviting feel when you first enter. The staff eagerly greets you and gives you their full attention. When interacting with the store manager Kristyn she made it feel like we were important and didnt hesitate to share with us all the great fun an escape room could be! Booking a room is easy and they have more than a few choices with availability extending into the later evening. This was super helpful so that we could enjoy downtown SLO and then end our night with an exciting bang! I cant say enough about it all and highly recommend checking it out, you wont be disappointed!

Came here last year and had the worst Escape Room experience ever! The manager offered us another experience no charge but we could not bring ourselves to come back.Flash forward 1 year and we were given another chance to be comped and we did it! Amazing experience cant wait to come back!The true measure of a company is how they handle adverse issues and Puzzle Effect rose to the top!

Went here for team building and it was my first time doing an escape room. Great experience it was so much fun and we almost solved the last puzzle but ran out of time.

My friends and I had a ton of fun! I had gone to one escape room in the past, and my friends were all first timers. The puzzle room was easy to catch on to, and they had a great time solving the clues involved with the room. The staff was friendly and funny, and made sure to welcome us when we arrived. My friends and I boasted about the experience the rest of the night, and a few wanted to come back that same day! I definitely recommend this for everyone and we’ll definitely be making a visit back very soon.

We had a group of 9 and did the pipeworks puzzle. Participants ranged from 15 to 31 and we all finished under the hour. We had a blast, and the puzzles were pretty straightforward without being obvious.

The employees here are so kind. I have a health issue that I mentioned the day before. We arrived in the room and there was a chair for me. They never forgot. My adult children came down from the Bay Area. We chose the Pirate themed room. Definitely a challenge, but so much fun. No, we did not make it out. But, it was part of a fabulous Mothers Day memory. I would highly recommend this establishment!

It was a great idea for a 16yo Birthday. The kids had a blast and would love to do it again.

Service was great, puzzle was intricate and difficult (we did Curse of the Emerald Sea), but fun and the clues that were given as needed were very clear/concise.

My work recently visited The Puzzle Effect as a team building activity and we all fully enjoyed it! We did the room Pipe Works and had such a great experience! The puzzles were engaging and fun and the theme of the room was so creative! We will definitely return again and we highly recommend The Puzzle Effect as a fun, great for all ages, escape room!

$32 per person. But good news you dont need 4people to book a session. Even you you want to enjoy some quiet time it only take 1 person

Had a great time. Didnt finish it but the guy took us through the end after time expired. He said the completion rate for the one we did (Cursed Seas) is pretty low. However we had a great time trying to complete and really got into it. The only issue for us was being seniors the light was to dim and we had to use our phone lights. If you are in the category you might want to being one of those headlamps to help you. We will be back to do another one later. I assume as they grow they will examine completion rate and adjust complexity.

So much fun! Cant recommend enough for date night or team outing. Super excellent blend of fun and critical thinking! Enjoy!

We took 5 kids and 2 adults for my sons 12th birthday! We all had a blast! We could not solve the puzzle in the alotted time and were so thankful for the hints and clues to make it as far as we did! Super fun! Very nice facility and great staff! Kids loved it too! We want to come back and try another room! Thank you!!!

This was my first escape room and it was so much fun! I went with my family (4 people total) and we did Curse on the Emerald Sea. It was tough and we needed a lot of clues, but it was still satisfying when we solved something. Everyone was able to contribute and we ALMOST escaped in time. The host was great, upbeat and friendly. Weve already made plans to return and try another room!

The staff at The Puzzle Effect is amazing and the awesome experience my family and I had is one we will not forget. In fact, our kids are already asking when we can go back to try another challenge.

We had such a great time doing Curse on the Emerald Seas! We were 2 clues away from finishing the room, Bummer!! We had so much fun we came back to do Grim Stacks the next day and redeemed ourselves by beating it with a couple minutes to spare!! Wohoo! Both rooms rooms were awesome! The staff was very friendly! This place is so much fun! We went first for my husbands birthday in November, then tried a different room when my family visited for Christmas. Both rooms were amazing, the set was fantastic, the staff was friendly and helpful. (We needed a lot of hints along the way--and thanks to the staff we were able to finish in the knick of time!) Very fun and highly recommended!

Very fun game, nice/helpful staff and clean facility. We played pipeworks and escaped with 1:30 to spare!! Would definitely recommend.

We had a great time figuring out the clues. We needed 2 more minutes on the clock to escape. (so close). We will be back to try another room.

This was a lot of fun! We took a group that included scientists, nurses and a lawyer and just barely finished in time, relying occasionally on the hints. We’d all do it again.

I went with some friends to check out the Puzzle Effect and try their Grim Stacks room. It was great for our group, which was a mix of beginners and novices. The puzzles were fun, the story was great, and the room was setup really well!The staff was super friendly and booked us in with no hesitation, even though we didnt have a reservation and wanted to play right away. Im really looking forward to trying the other room available, and then Ill be going to their new, pirate-themed room as soon as it opens!

The Puzzle Effect in Slo is just awesome!! We went as a group of 4 to do the Curse on the Emerald Seas room. It was a little challenging but so much fun putting together riddles and unlocking the next quest! Definitely recommend to bring your friends!

We booked the Grim Stacks for my daughters 12th birthday party. 6 girls, one hour, pizza after at Woodstocks... great time was had by all!The Puzzle Effect was perfect for them! The staff was so friendly and helpful and the escape room was really well decorated theme wise.My husband went in as the free adult to supervise (since they were under 14) so I didnt experience it. But, he said the room was very well done.I would recommend this... heck I have been recommending it since we went, to anyone who wants to have a unique experience... this place is dialed in!

Took my family here for the first time over spring break. The 4 of us did the Grim Stacks room. I have to say it was great to watch my teenage boys try and figure the puzzles out and I think we all learned a little bit about each other as a family. I wish we could have had a little more time to keep that going :) . We will be back for sure!

We did the Curse of the Emerald Seas room at The Puzzle Effect. Great room, though sadly we went down with the ship, but just barely. Weve done a number of rooms in the SoCal area and this one ranks up with them. Very well designed and decorated with some unique and ingenious puzzles. The difficulty was pretty high, with a handful of puzzles that we wouldnt have solved without receiving hints. We look forward to trying out their other rooms in the future.

The entire family enjoyed the Puzzle Effect over the weekend, including the 9 and 10 yr old! The staff was super helpful and just excited as we were when we beat the clock! We will definitely be going back for another Puzzle Effect experience!

Four of us went to the Puzzle Effect last week and attempted to solve the Curse of the Emerald Seas puzzle. It was a blast, but more difficult than expected. After 10 minutes we hadnt made much progress so they gave us a hint. In all, we were provided with 6 hints, which was more than we would have liked.We arrived 10 minutes early per their instruction at the time of booking, but ended up waiting in the lobby for about 25 minutes once we were officially checked in, due to technical difficulties they were having in resetting the room. They were great about keeping us in the loop regarding progress and once we got into the room they have each of us a gift card for another game, which we really appreciated. We had so much fun, we almost booked another game for the same day! Well definitely go again.

Was a fun challenge...just be sure you go into this with an open mind, using converting and thinking outside the box....good luck!!

Located near downtown SLO, these escape rooms are veryl well made and the staff is friendly. Price is a little expensive but it is comparable to escape rooms of similar quality. Lots of options for escape rooms including multiple 6 person max rooms with a 5v5 competition room.
