Great wine tasting. They have two flights. We tried both. Price of tasting subtracted from your purchase. So we got two really good bottles of wine. We also had the cheese and nut aide dish. Perfect sitting outside. Had to make a reservation but that could be a covid thing.

We were here the very LAST DAY before all non-essential businesses were shut down (the the 2020 Pandemic for posterity sake) and received the royal treatment doing a Tour de force style tasting I will not soon forget. Our host is what I could call a super-member of Tolosa. WOW. Ive lived in this region for ten years and have never had so many amazing wines in one location. As soon as were on the other side of this, GO HERE!! If youre flying in, its literally across the street.

2nd visit and still like their wine.Good wine, viognier was perfect. We discovered this vineyard just driving by. Our wine hostess was knowledgeable and friendly, and we actually joined the wine club! A great experience. Oh, and the view from the club members room is to die for! Become a member, then you get the real nice treatment.

Hands down one of the best wineries, especially if youre a Pinot Noir fan. Elegant tasting room, and plenty of outdoor seating. You can even buy a bottle per couple if you want to chill out and bring a picnic. Right off 227, easy to find, in the Edna Valley. My pictures are from October, so dry late autumn, but this is a gorgeous place and my family has a membership for good reason. I biked here on the trail, but there are many ways to get there.

I visited Tolosa Winery today (Friday) intending to purchase 2 cases of wine and was disappointed in their level of service and inability to determine my history as a wine club member. Walked out and cancelled my membership without purchasing any wine. They seem too big to care. Plenty of great wineries in SLO and some with awesome Pinots, wont be back to Tolosa. They lost me as customer.

Disappointing. The tasting was expensive for a belly up to the bar in the Central Coast. The wines were a mixed bag; most not bad, but none spectacular. Stylistically they all felt manufactured. They were, however, spectacularly overpriced. The prices were at Kosta Browne / Sea Smoke levels (or more) without the quality or reputation. The service was scripted. It felt very telemarketer. Of course there was a hard sell on the club. The environment in general felt corporate. Also, that we were led to believe our tasting would be comped (which just didnt happen) did not improve the experience.

My wife and I have visited, and belonged to many wineries over the years. Yesterday was our first trip to TOLOSA, and it was not only an awesome start to our family vacation, but truly an experience to remember.Having visited Alpha Omega previously, we expected an amazing tasting experience, but it was the service that blew us away. We were anxious about stopping in with our 3 kids (all under 7) but we were warmly greeted, and immediately seated outside.Karl Jepsen was our host, and from the start he was AMAZING, not only for the service he provided, and his knowledge of the wine that was on the tasting menu, but more so for how he treated our children. He went out of his way to entertain and interact with them, showed them cool parts of property (dragon blood on the the barrel tasting room ). There wasn’t any part of the overall experience we were excluded from because we were there with our kids. I’ve been to other high end wineries before, and while the wine was good, the overall experience wasn’t nearly as inviting and inclusive as what Karl provided us at TOLOSA yesterday.Suffice it to say, Karl made joining the club, and buying some wine a no brainer! Not only will we be back, but I’ll be recommending this place to anyone I can!!!

This was the first winery and wine tasting event we went to in this area and we were not disappointed. Because of the unusually hot weather, they were harvesting early to save the grapes that were ready. We got to watch the production through big glass windows and we could also go outside and watch from there, but it was too hot that day to sit outside, 112 degrees. The lady who was pouring our samples had so much knowledge of everything you would ever want to know about that vineyard, but also about winemaking and grape growing. She was amazing, and after we toured several other tasting events, we realized she was exceptional. Not only was she incredibly knowledgeable, but their wine was superb. I ended up buying 4 bottles of their wine, the Tolosa 1772 Sauvignon Blanc 2016, more than any other vineyard we visited. Our server let us know that the wines in their tasting flight are the cream of the crop, hand picked and single grape wines. She did say that this winery also does bigger mass productions of wine as well. She explained the history behind the 1772, which I have forgotten. Too much wine tasting. This winery has ample parking and is easily accessible. If you are looking for good wine and a good tasting experience, this is it!

I had a bad experience with the staff yesterday...I asked for a suggestion for a wine but maybe my knowledge about wine wasnt enough good so the staff told me They dont have the type of wine I asked for so the person suggest me to go another place and cheaper so I never ask for a cheap wine and I think at least he would be try to give me a taste of a quality wine that I think Tolosa have or maybe not because I couldnt tease anyone....I give you 0☆for your staff.

If youre looking to pay a lot for a bottle of wine, you can get that here. However, I would not recommend the winery tour. We were hoping to learn more about winemaking but this is a marketing tour. There is a barrell tasting of chardonnary to start, but otherwise you are viewing mostly the areas that can be seen from the tasting room through the windows. Then you end in a lavish event room having your tasting with a sales associate who stays with you the whole time. We were charged for the tasting and for the tour, in spite of buying a $65 bottle of wine.We visited eight wineries in a couple of days, tasted and purchased many good wines but with a more authentic and relaxed experience. All of us in our party were very disappointed with this winery.

I came here for truffle/wine pairing. Its $27-ish, cant remember the exact price. I am kinda disappointed.1) They have almost identical wine paring list for both their cheese/wine and truffle/wine tasting. I just think its odd that they cant be bothered to tailor their menu for different tastings.2) The truffle and wine paring aint really successful in my opinion. I know there are many ppl out there in favor or cabinet&chocolate pairing, but its never my thing. The mexican or whatever chocolate truffle i had was way sweater than the wine, which over powered the taste of the wine and kinda destroyed the flavor of the chocolate.3) The gentleman who served us was very kind, but he did not bother to give us any introduction or information about different type of wines. All he did was telling us the name and the region of the wine, then he kept going with politics and economy and culture...great conversation, but not the convo i was expecting.Having said this, I did enjoy their oaked chardonnay 2009, great wine. My suggestion is to stick to the wine/cheese pairing, i had a glance of the menu for that, and it looks decent.
