What a lovely vineyard with delicious wines! We ended up going here because the vineyard we originally meant to visit canceled our reservation due to the air quality. Absolutely no regrets as we had such a good time at Kelsey. Our host Holly was so friendly and informative that she basically shaped our overall experience here.Kelsey is a quaint but cozy and chill environment with some animals, which makes it so fun. The fluffy chickens were adorable, their Great Pyrenees dog was gentle, and of course, the “free ranged” peacocks stole the show.They offer a number of easy palatable wines—their signature Golden Delicious and Red Delicious downright live up to the names. The place got a lot of charms, and I would recommend this winery to anyone who’s checking out the wine scene in SLO.

Beautiful little vineyard. I received a voucher for two free wine tastings and their wines are good. especially the ones are infused with Apple . The peacocks were amazing there they have a white peacock which Ive never seen in my life. They have a little Vineyard there but thats not really where they get the majority of their grapes for their wines Im sure. Its a cute little area to sit have some wine, have some cheese and some snacks and enjoy the sunshine. Very very cute!

I absolutely love the wine, the environment and especially the people here. My getaway on a weekly basis. Cant recommend them enough. It feels like family when we are here.

Beautiful and peaceful environment. Relaxing time with live music at times, and peacocks that run freely on the property. Their wine is so delicious! A must go to place to visit. Ill be back for sure! :)

Had such a wonderful visit at this winery. James was the staff person helping us and his wine knowledge and customer service werw fantastic. We came home with two bottles, a zin and an apple cider wine that both had extremely unique flavor profiles. While we were sans kids, I can see this as a rare winery where kids can explore while staying within eyesight. Might try that one day!

If you like cider and wine, dogs, peacocks and roosters... this is the place for you. So relaxing, I forgot I had to go home. They need a bnb!

This is the such an incredible winery! Very chill vibe, delicious wine, and beautiful dogs and peacocks to accompany you while drinking vino. The staff was exceptional and super informative and friendly. The mermaid themed tasting room was also so fun to look at. Highly recommend!

Beautiful winery! Dog friendly & pretty peacocks wander the property! Wine is good yummy! Viogner and BB Zinfandel were my favorite. Family owned business and the girls working were very fun, personal and friendly! Next time will but a bottle and sit in the picnic area with snacks!

Darlene was a lot of fun and the wines and ciders were tasty. Secret Spot was our favorite of the wines and Two Fathoms cider was the winner.

Beautiful location and great cider and wine offerings. There are about 100 peacocks roaming the canyon and a few ranch dogs at the winery. The scrumpy cider is very delicious and dry and tart and is 11% alcohol. A must in beautiful See Canyon!

It’s a lovely place. Quiet and calm and clean. We went there for a few hours mid July of 2019. The staff were friendly. Their prices were very reasonable. And most of all it was a family friendly place so we could take our kids along.

Great winery to include when you are on the Central Coast. Yummy Wines, Good music and great times with friends. This is a locals favorite stop.

I came here about 3 years ago and was very impressed. Very pretty patio area where you can sit and sip wine while looking at the peacocks. I was excited to bring my boyfriend back earlier this week but it has gone way down hill. First off, the service was absolutely terrible. There was a very loud drunk group who couldn’t figure out how to get into the bathroom and the staff was helping them over the very long line of people who were waiting for their next tasting. Meanwhile, the manager was counting the register pretending like she didn’t even notice that all of this was happening. The management is the worst part, they did nothing the entire time while their staff did all the work. The tasting was only $5 but totally not worth it. You’ll be there all day before you see your second pour

Wonderful atmosphere and great wine. We love going on Sundays as there is live music. The membership program is the way to go. They also have peacocks roaming the property and some games for the little ones. They have tables with umbrellas. Pack yourself a picnic and enjoy some great wine and music. Its always a fun time at Kelsey.

The Golden apple wine is fantastic. Not sweet just mild dry apple taste. Very good with a cheese and fruit.

Great location - cozy, beautiful, out of the way but not far out of town. Wine choices were varied and well described by Holly. We felt completely welcomed and enjoyed it all!

Loved our visit to the Kelsey winery. Its not too far from Avila Beach well signed from the main road. Its in a very picturesque spot with plenty of outside seating running along the creek.The wines were all very good and some unusual apple wines too. The tasting room is decorated with some lovely pieces of artwork, some of which they use on their wines. Worth a visit.

Took a short bike ride from Avila Beach up to the winery and had a nice wine tasting experience. My wife really likes fruit forward sweet wines so this place was a perfect place for her. Grounds are cute, quaint, and very comfortable for a nice sunny day.

Best, quickest access is 101S, exit Avila Beach via San Luis Bay Dr. and turn right onto See Cnyn Rd. Beautiful winery grounds with plenty of outdoor seating with umbrellas to shade while picnicing or just hanging out. Owners dogs greet you and hang out and other dogs also welcome with plenty of water for all. Take in the winery, local art and live peacocks parading the grounds. Welcome to ask servers for treats to feed the dogs and peacocks. Servers are super friendly and knowledgeable. Great place for any venue. Also has occasional music. Check website or call for weekend events. My best local winery pick.

Quiet and off the beaten path

Wine tasting was limited to 5 choices and was expensive. The Rose was good but they only wave the fee for two bottles. They could have been more educational and friendly. Not worth the detour!

Dont go on a busy day. Dont waste your time with tasting either their employees will make sure to expedite your exit. I think we were there for about 5 minutes.

I wish I lived in San Luis Obispo so I could come here more often! I love their wine club and look forward to getting delicious wines shipped to me in NorCal.

Best winery in the central coast. The only club we have wanted to join. Very personable service and you will come to love the family and owners Dolores & Dick. Dont miss occasions when there is music and you can just veg out on the lawn with the greatest wines!!

Extremely hospitable staff. It was easy to navigate from the main highway as well. Great variety of wines at various price points that can accommodate the hidden sommelier in all of us.

Tried chatting with the girls in the tasting room and they just were not friendly. The grounds were cute and the wine was ok. Tasting fee is $12.

I noticed that the tasting host was not getting good reviews. She probably should have hidden her feelings a bit more, but in her defense, Id have to point out the source of the complaints. #1: wine tasting is about tasting wine and not drinking to get buzzed. They are there to sell wine, not provide a bar for yahooing. #2: why would anyone bring kids to a wine tasting room any more than youd take them to the DMV? Its not family entertainment - its wine sales. #3: Most tasting rooms provide some bits of food to pair with their wines - not to feed birds and entertain children. Its to sell wine. Got it?!

Wonderful outdoor seating, great wines, we really enjoyed spending the afternoon there.

NIce grounds, ok wine. Was a bit turned off by the lady running the tasting room. She was complaining of people buying food to feed the peacocks and saying that people should just take their kids to the zoo or the aquarium, she was really on a rant as a turned in my glass with my children who just tried to feed the peacocks. Her attitude was very dissapointing. I know it was not directed at us, but come on, everyone there could hear. I am a local, not a tourist so yes I know summer is a bit crowded here and there are more crowds than usual, but if peacock feeding is so annoying, dont offer it!

Tasty wine and they have strong yummy cider!

This place isnt great. We walked in and got ignored for 10 minutes. An older crowd came in and they served them immediately.

Nice location, poor quality wine! Give it a miss!
