Not 5 stars, because of the hwy 101 traffic noise, however this is one of the few parks in SLO that isnt overrun with a homeless population, so super family friendly. Sand volleyball court us more dirt than sand, but still got in quality playtime for my wifes 50the b-day party. There are bathrooms and a huge grassy area for bug frisbee throwing. Good luck finding this hidden park of SLO town. =)

One of the nicer parks in the San Luis Obispo city limits. playground volleyball courts dog friendly many of different picnic areas which can be rented or just used on a daily basis plus the animal hospital is right there. the parking lot isnt much to be said for but once you get out of your car and go into the park its definitely worth it.

A clean park with almost no one there. It has a nice playground, horse shoe area, grassy area, creek, and picnic areas. Only downside was the yellow jackets. Parking is easy with a nice big free parking lot.

What a lovely park. Access to the creek is easy, although it is a seasonal Creek, its still flowing a little bit. Big open field with well trim grass, wide open space and tall trees, public bathrooms available, and even trees to park under, for a few cars at least, for that luscious afternoon nap, its hard to beat. Dont tell too many people, or theyll wake me up from my nap

This is a very cool park with plenty of interesting things to do, the kids will love it .the veterinary clinic that is there is built upon a last chance store you could go to before you rode to the next town. There was another last chance on the south east side of Moro bay where a shooting took place in the early 20th century or late 19th century that some of the old timers would talk about when I was a kid . The cuesta park brings all those memories back to me when I go there.

This is a neat park with a lot to offer. There is a swimming hole, at least in early summer, where you can find tadpoles and wade in. There is a park for kids to play at and a huge picnic area with bbq options. There is also a volleyball court and access to water to fill up water bottles as well as restrooms. The only negative is that there were quite a few homeless persons lingering around the area and possibly sleeping there.

Truly a hidden gem in San Luis Obispo. My roommate showed me this park a while back and I absolutely fell in love. The path that leads in from the street is beautiful, the grassy area is nice and big (perfect for dogs), and probably my favorite thing to do in SLO on a warm day is to go wade in the creek under the tree canopy. Great place to get away for a few hours, have a barbecue, or go for a stroll.

Quiet park in a little nook off the hwy before heading up the grade. Known for being a Boy Scout Troup meeting place among other community groups for kids. Large green field with a sand volleyball court. Has a nice sized area for kids to play on a swing set, teeter-totters, climbing obstacles, and a full-on merry-go-round. Great place for all sorts of celebrations with large BBQ grills for a significant amount of food, as well as other smaller BBQs located around the creek (or used to be when CA had water). One of the few places in SLO County thats alcohol-friendly. Theres a beautiful pathway along the creek to the end of the park which can either lead you to the main road or downward to a sewer that used to be filled with magnificent graffiti art. Not everyone agreed that it was art though so at various times it was painted over. One of my favorite parks in town with fond memories of as a child (I fell off the bridge headfirst into the creek before I could swim and gave my parents one of their first offspring-induced heart attacks) and I continue to make memories there as an adult (playing slosh-ball and golf tennis, watching live bands play, etc.). Theres also an unusually perfect climbing tree at the end of the grassy field. The branches are as symmetrical as a tree can possibly get, to the point of being quite an easy climb to get to the very tip-top. Just be cautious of certain branches!! Fit for dare-devils only. Great place to bring your dog as well.

What a a lovely park. Hidden at the end of the road on the the north end of San Luis Obispo is a seasonal creek (so sorry for all the drought this year), large lawn, clean restrooms, multiple group areas (for large 50-200 groups), volley ball sand pit with net, 3 horse shoe pits, a fabulous new childrens playground for the tots, lots of benches, great sun and good shade - so everyone is happy, and so clean and well maintained. Thank you SLO county. See the Pictures - they tell it all!
