Not only is their wine great, their land is beautiful and the atmosphere is so fun! The staff is super friendly and made us feel so welcome and at home. The wine tasting is first come, first serve which was perfect for us since we were doing our trip last minute and didn’t have time to make a reservation. I highly recommend Wolff Vineyards!
I have been a club member of Wolff Vineyards for nearly a decade. It is one of the small pleasures of my life to come here every so often and just be in one of my favorite spots in one of my favorite cities on planet earth with an exceptional glass of wine amongst the individuals that make this town as great as it is. Everyone there is so down to earth but absolutely badass in terms of their experience with farming grapes and making wine. Most everyone pouring is going to be able to go well beyond tasting notes -- theyll tell you if it was a hot summer that year, a wet or dry winter or what the yields were like. Theyll tell you about the process and how to age your bottles until theyre at peak for drinking. Theyll go into each variety, where it grows, why it grows there, what makes it what it is. They made me love wine because they take the pretense right out of it and replace it with the love of nature and science. Do you know when you meet a person or a group of people who are so knowledgeable at what they do that they dont need to talk anything up. Thats Wolff.
Edna Valleys hidden secret. Aside from the great staff, the postcard views from the patio and tasting room, the wine could be SLOs best kept secret. Its time to let the secret go. Put it on your map next time youre out tasting or just want a perfect picnic spot.
Excellent winery with very, very good tasting experience. Whites and reds very good and purchased two cases. Face masks and social distancing of outdoor tables nicely done.
Great wines! Beautiful views! Friendly staff!Large comfortable outdoor space with shade from the tree and a covered patio, and when social distancing is less of a concern, the indoor tasting room is cute and cozy. A food vendor is a common sight on the weekends, and theyre very dog-friendly!
Weve been stopping in here for the last 6 years, wines are great, always a good time.
First time wine tasting in Edna Valley area and they were one of the first to open after the pandemic. Became wine club members (free) with great experience tasting especially the 2018 Chardonnay Old Vine! Great views and staff.
This winery was AMAZING! The wines were delicious with a large variety of a white list and a red list and a beautiful outdoor seating area. Cheryl was hustling and bustling continually going in and outside to accommodate all of her guests. Were definitely planning to return for the tasty Chardonnay and Pinot Noir especially since the $15 tasting fee is waived if you buy a bottle! And the road its on has several wineries nearby to hit a couple at once if you wanted to.
Nice wines and nice surroundings. Staff were all very nice.
Awesome family Winery, with excellent wines!
Beautiful winery and great wines.
Excellent wines And the staff are amazing. Great time.
Delicious red flight. Friendly service. Lovely setting.
Small family run winery with great wine. Our host Mark was so friendly and down to earth. A must visit.
The tasting room guy was fantastic, great vibes here and the wines were incredibly well crafted.
My boyfriend and I stopped here while passing through on our California road trip and had a wonderful time doing a wine tasting. We were there with only one other couple and had a lovely conversation with them and Aaron. Everyone was giving us recommendations on where to go on our trip. Aaron gave us a thoughtful list of recommendations in addition to insightful information on all of the wine we were tasting. He was very knowledgable and established a wonderful atmosphere. As we stood drinking wine, we were able to look out the large windows at the stunning views.
Beautiful place, delicious wines, fantastic outdoor seating! Our sommelier, Aaron, was so approachable and helpful. Truly excellent customer service. He had great analogies for understanding varietals better - excellent for an amateur wine taster like me and my family and left with new knowledge. Yay! Fantastic all around! Super tasty rosé.
5 star view and ambience. 3 star for wines.
Wonderful accidental find on our getaway weekend! There is a shady tasting patio perched on top of a hill overlooking the hills and valley. Their staff is wonderful; Cheryl helped us with our tasting and was very informative. Low key and dog friendly environment. Above all, EXCELLENT WINE!!! We joined their wine club, and are looking forward to our first shipment. FYI, you can bring a picnic to enjoy with your tasting. We are so happy we found this little gem!
Excellent place very friendly owners also super great wine highly recommend it.
Best Chardonnay I’ve ever had! Amazing views and a friendly staff.
We loved it here, it was our first vineyard and the best we visited. The setting is beyond beautiful, there was a nice varied selection which were all nice, great dogs, humming birds. Amazing.
This winery was amazing!!! Jay was our poured and he was great, very informative and very nice! The wine was delicious and I even bought a bottle of their Petite Sarah!
GREAT experience, Cliff was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Loved their Labrador almost worth the $12m to take home. We took home the Syrah instead.
Great wines and amazing staff. Love this place! Bring some cheese and snacks!
Great place for a picnic lunch and wine tasting. ..bring your puppy they will love it too!
Great family run vineyard with some of the best wines in the area. Amazing views & great for a picnic. Owners son is cool. Good Pinot.
One of the most friendly and relaxed wineries Ive been to. Wine is tastey too.
Friendly, down-to-earth vineyard. Family-run; they really care about their wine and will tell you all about it. They have a nicle little garden/patio area. Dog-friendly, the owners have a couple friendly dogs that hangout. Also, theyre ecologically conscious and sponsor various sustainability projects.
This is a very comfortable place with a nice relaxed patio which you can sit on for hours. Great deal on tastings too.
Excellent Petite SyrahThis family-run winery is very personable, informative and informal--not snobby. It reminds me of the European vintners. Their Petite Syrah was excellent and Chardonnay was very good. We loved the fact that Wolff and the neighboring wineries promote each other, giving visitors their own take on what to look forward to at another winery. We look forward to coming back very soon!
Road scholar group. Clint was excellent. Very interesting.
Family owned, wonderful wines, so friend & knowledgeable. Darling tasting room or hang outside at the garden patio.
Very friendly and delicious wine from a smaller vineyard... Really felt personal, not corporate...
Epic wine!
Great live music and helpful staff selling wine. The Grilled Cheese Incident also on hand
Very not kids friendly!!! Just called to ask if it is a kids friendly winery and the guy that answered, said, yes, we welcome your kids and dogs, but you could put your kids on a lish and your dogs can run around, so rude!!!!!He stated, they have so much liability to worry about, go to hell looser, anyways your wine sucks!!!
Fantastic views warm friendly owners lots of room for a picnic and do not forget great wine
Only winery I have visited in the San Luis Obispo area, I would definitely recommend it for the outstanding wine, service, and commitment to the environment.Wine 5/5 Delicious, full-bodied yet easy drinking whites and reds. Smaller selection, but each one is just delightful.Property/Views 4/5 Beautiful grounds, lovely drive out to the winery. A place where you would be happy to stay a while, inside or outside.Owners/Workers 5/5 Owner poured our very gracious tastes, and he is a whirlwine of information, especially about their sustainable practices and the wine business in general. Taught us a lot about how to taste, and what to look for in wine.Visit worthy? Absolutely!
Try their Petite Syrah! The reason why I like the place is the core customer service and overall nice wine. I hated Syrah until I came here. I love the family abd their commitment to make good wines.
Super people serving great wines in a beautiful setting. A very special place and should not be missed
Truly phenomenal--loved the views, the wines, and the vines.
