Good hike if its a cool day. No shade at all but good views of SLO

Great urban hike, can get there from town without driving if you live close enough. Nice 5 mile loop from downtown.

Great hike. Not too easy. Not too hard. Beautiful views of SLO. I recommend wearing mud/waterproof shoes as it can get really squishy around the base of the hill. If you tread lightly in the mud, its doable in regular runners.

Several hilltops to hike to and great views of the Edna Valley and town!

Prices are a bit high but staff are very skilled.

Always a nice hike. The construction on the south side has a fence around their working area but you can get around.

Lovely place, nice for short hikes and walks. It I great in winter and spring when the grass is lush and soft.

It is a very pretty climb with a 360 degree view of SLO...on the south side of town..a little steep in places but worth the effort

An easy hike with great views, beautiful rocks, and interesting plant and animal life. This hike is surrounded by several neighborhoods so there are several trails and access points. If you are waking or biking along south higuera this is a pleasant alternative route. This is one of the most beautiful hikes in the area because of the serpentine rocks that make the mountain colourful. There are also some native succulents (dudleya) that are fun to spot and some birds of prey.

Quick hike with a good view.

There are minimal official trails, which is nice for the area, and South Hills is a true local open space! As with many other hikes around, it is muddy after rain. Convenient to have in the middle of town with some different views of the surroundings.

Plentiful parking. Free loaner dog leashes at the trailhead. Nice views. Easy hike.
