All of the equipment is kid-friendly and all is safe. It is quite spacious here and has a lot of activities to offer. We tried an hour and it wasnt enough to try all the playing zones. Nice place and very affordable. Thank you!

I have been multiple times during Covid and the staff are always great about wearing masks, spreading out the seating, and cleaning the tables and games after every use. Its pretty much the only place I feel comfortable enough to visit during these weird times. Plus they have a dope beer selection, amazing cocktails, and pinball!

I wanted to take my kids to your playroom again because they do learn a lot of new things. They also enjoyed playing your stuff because it was clean and safe to play with. Besides, the staff that was working out there were very accommodating and careful to my kids. They even spent a wonderful day with each other in playing and learning new things. We will come back!

A brewcade with an Asian inspired bar menu, the Detour is a fun little place to hang out for some drinks and a bite.With so many possible bars in the SF area, how does one decide where to go? Luckily, stumbled upon the Detour as it had a small blurb posting about their recent Super Bowl viewing party. No cover charge, brewcade like atmosphere - sold!

Its like a trip Back to the future. Great atmosphere. Large beer selection. Young and old sharing a passion for beer and arcades.

This was an amazing establishment with a great atmosphere. You can play older arcade games with friends while enjoying your drinks.

Great cocktails, excellent service!This was one of my favorite bars I have tried, good drinks, great fresh crafted cocktails (the best mule I have ever had). The service was excellent and very knowledgeable, really enjoyed my whole experience. Will definitely be returning.

3.5 stars. I live in the building and want this place to do well. Im sorry that the pizzas are awful though. Fried cheese curds were tasty though, if not a little too rich (yes I know they are cheese curds). Great looking space.

Fun little location! Theres a nice variety of games but it was a bit smaller than I expected. Would be a great place to get a small group together and hang out. They have a decent happy hour and also serve food if youre hungry. Would definitely visit again if in the area.

Love this concept! Ive seen it before but its rare - its so much fun! These games will take you back. Its so fun to do this while youre having some good drinks! Really cool place.My only suggestion is non-gender separated restrooms! It sucks! The line for the womens is sooo long - I dont know I dont get it either -

Really cool place, it took me back to the 80s! The vibe was very relaxing and a fun time to end the day! Thanks to the bar tenders, the cook, the hamburger was good, the fries and the nachoes also a good hit! Wife and I will be back for some more good times!!

Such a cool concept, vintage arcade games and craft beer. Just be sure to get there early, because it gets packed quick on weekends.

I like this place do 2 the fact that they have old school games for everyone to play they recently changed how the seating is so that’s a huge plus, bartenders are cool usually when I go, the ppl that are there too drink are cool as well never a bad experience.

I had such a good time here! The staff was so nice to me. They helped me choose a beer and a pinball machine. What more do you need really? Good happy hour prices, lots of fun games, laid back vibe. I had one eye on the Stanley Cup playoffs so I’d say it’s a good spot for casual sports watching as well.

Fun spot. Every last Sunday of the month the games are free. Polite crowd even though crowded at times. Kind of a light hearted fun place to hang or go for a date.

Fun place for you and your amigos to get down on arcade games while drinking some beers. Lots of options to choose from, both beer and games. Some games are in need of a tune-up, but thats simply par for the course when it comes to smashing buttons and joysticks everyday. I definitely recommend.

Surprisingly good cocktails. I wish they had more pinball machines. The last Sunday of the month has free play on the machines which is awesome as are the 80-90s movie posters.

I like this place a lot, a little more than the downtown location because it is easier to find parking. The staff is always friendly and tries their best (every time I go it is PACKED). Anyway, it may take some time to get an arcade machine but when you do, its pretty fun. My favorites are pac man which ALWAYS has a line and a shooter one (cant remember the name). There are other bars nearby if the place is capped, which is nice as well.

Fun little gaming spot. Good for hanging out and just having some drinks with your friends, or even a date. Lol. A couple of the games may be down. Hence the 4 stars. But for the most part, its a cool spot.

Fun little arcade bar. The games arent free here but they have some great options, including 4 person competitive PAC man and an old school Area 51 cabinet alongside some classics and a basketball shooting game.

Coin-Op is a fun spot! They have lots of games, a great tap list, superb cocktails, a patio with large Jenga and Connect-4, and is overall a great place. They get very crowded at peak times, but what doesnt in North Park?

Coin op is okay. I get it - its an arcade and a bar, but their games are kinda lame and theres really nothing to do except play video games. A bit on the pricey side, and a bit too cramped.If youre in the area, its cool. But I wouldnt go out of my way to go to Coin Op.

This place is a little small but still fun to go to. I went on a Thursday night and it was a little more crowded than expected. They have a great selection of beers. Definitely coming back for free play on Sunday!

An old-fashioned arcade, and a modern bar. I have never tried the food. The drink selection is good, and the games and the quarter machine are well-maintained and fully-functional. This would probably be the best adults-only arcade in the area, even if it werent the only one.

This place is a fun spot to play a few games. They have free video games at the last Sunday of the month. It will get more crowded when they have free video games, but you can still play and have a good time till almost 2am.

Last Sunday of every month is free play! Definitely worth it between that and decent priced beers. #turnt

You friendly neighborhood bar-cade does a pretty solid job in packing the place with fun throwbacks and a comparable smattering of drinks to go with it. Would I love to be the game curator here? Oh absolutely, but considering how some of these games are over 30 years old, I can understand how stock may be limited with some. Just the same, they do their best to cater to a diverse audience of people, so you should find something here from your youth that will make you and your closest friends (or random guy walking around... just like the old arcade days!) to put your coins together and vanquish some evildoer electronically!

4 instead of 5 because arcade games arent exactly my scene, but this place is still fun. They usually have a good selection of beers and cocktails and the arcade games are decently priced. I like the downtown location better though, its bigger and less crowded with a fuller menu.

Their cocktails are actually really good! Im not sure why I was surprised, but I ended up getting two of the same drink because I loved it so much. The games are all coin operated and theres a coin machine in the bar. Feels a lot more authentic than the wristband/card payment arcades. Their beer selection is great but you really cant go wrong with any of the cocktails.

Came here with some friends while I was in town and omg! While we do have Barcadia in Dallas, the drinks here were some of the best Ive ever had. The agave cocktail names are hilarious, and the fear the chancla is literally my new favorite cocktail of all time. Cant wait to go back.

Its pretty overrated. Drinks are reasonably priced and food is good. Id say its packed more for the games and the experience than the drinks. Weekends there will be a line.

Real good place for drinks and some gaming. Love the pinball machines!! A little pricey, but what the hell. Not too many places that have a variety of pinball machines. The staff is cool. They do serve food. During peak time there is always a line to get in. So, be early. No cover.

Great place to hang with friends and grab drinks. They usually have a great tap list and many people dont know they actually have good mixed drinks as well. Their selection of games is ok, the location in downtown is a little better for that.

I have never been treated so poorly by a security guard. He harassed my friend about her height. She is 4’11 and he said he “didn’t like her vibe” because she wasn’t flirting back with him. I stood up for her and he said he wouldn’t let us in. I am absolutely appalled at his treatment of women and I hope that the owners of this Coin-Op reconsider his employment. He was wearing a white north park T-shirt and being extremely harsh to a group of innocent customers trying to play some games on their day off. Extremely disappointed in this place.

I really enjoy the idea of beercades, however, my experience at this one was not as good as others I have visited. I felt that the game selection was limited and the area was very crowded. The bar has a nice selection of drinks and there were options of what I considered to be fun games to play, the bar is also open to the outside which is awesome on a nice night.

Its a fun spot, theres a good selection of beers I didnt really know most of the games but still had a good time, the only thing since its a small place it was too crowded.

Dave & Busters isnt cutting it. Im glad someone took the initiative to bring back classic arcades! I love that it is a quarter to play these games, not a token or card to swipe. There are great selections of beer & cocktails. I saw they even have a pin ball tournament, awesome!I hope they will be able to get a bigger venue once business is thriving. It can get crowded in some areas. I would love to see more arcade options and less sitting area.But OVERALL, Im in love!

The staff are friendly, and the atmosphere is phenomenal! Whether you are a party (Ms Pac) Man or more of a quiet Q*Bert, this niche bar will work out for you. Pricing of drinks and food is reasonable for the location, and the variety of arcade games will have your quarters hopping at the chance to let you continue one more time.

Great bar! One star off though since some of the older games lose their high score every night when theyre powered off.
