Great date night spot. The drinks are super fun and tasty. Fair prices. Ambiance is very chill. They have music playing but not extremely loud. Friendly staff.
Awesome nice staff and a sweet place to play games and get drinks. Awesome with a large group of friends or just you and a date! Would be here all the time playing bowling and street fighter if I lived here! Love this place got whatever vibe youre
Super pricy especially because the drinks were small and seemed watered down and the food was we ordered was unimpressive. The bowling alley had a long wait so we didnt get to try try that and everything else seemed a little dead, I feel like San Diego has plenty of better options and I doubt Ill revisit.
It was a blast. We ate good food, played games,we bowled, we drank, good drinks. Everyone there are so nice. Good place to hang with friends and or family
Its a nice place to eat and play games. Very social and friendly. Highly recommend
OMG!! Management staff were amazing. They messed up our reservation for birthday bowling on a Thursday night any totally Comped it for the next day... For a Friday night! The next day we showed up...they were Atentative on time very accommodating... Food Services amazing! Excellent Vibe great ambiance! we will be hanging out here again..and often. Thank you!
Always a fun time here. Everything is top notch. Very cozy and friendly. The staff and restaurant are excellent.
Great atmosphere- my 6 year old wanted to play every game! We took 2 games to the table and played while we waited on our for and then played bean bag toss after we ate!! I was excited that all those things had no cost but would be willing to pay for the bowling! It was definitely reasonable priced! I look forward to having a fun event their soon. We came in on a Sunday afternoon- full of families celebrating events and formers hanging out.
Its a nice place to get out and have some drinks with your food and play some darts and bowling, great place to visit.
Great vibe and really attentive ms friendly staff, everyone was practicing safe social distancing and were all masked
Excellent food. Wonderfully priced. Wonderful curry...excellent and friendly service...highly recommended!!
Really fun place with all types of games to do, (bowling, giant scrabble board, ping pong, bean bag toss, and lots others)Drinks are your standard downtown prices.I was with a birthday party, so the food we had was catered from here. It was ok. Heat lamps didn’t really keep it warm. But it was good.
This place is like an adults playground lol! Let’s first start off with the environment. It’s downtown so parking can be difficult however keep in mind you can park in the yellow on weekends. The building is a rustic vintage type which I absolutely loved. It’s definitely a nice background for taking photos.I also would like to notate because this is really important the bathrooms are gender neutral.I came here for a reserved party and we had a table. While waiting on the foods/drinks they have really social interaction games for the guest to play at the table. The food was good I ate the chicken and waffles. The drinks are sooooo delicious. I got a Cadillac margarita, I tried the Moscow mule, and the birthday girl got a vodka with sprite. When we finished our food we went to a do karaoke . It’s was super fun however the room was small for a party of 10. The room was about 16feet by 14feet. You’re able to choose songs on your phone. So make sure your phones are charged. Then after karaoke we did bowling! By this time I was tipsy lol! I would say the time went by fast it we were there from 7:30-11:30 with the party package.
Wonderful service! I went here for an engagement party and we ended up having more people then originally planned. The restaurant was so accommodating and understanding. Especially our waitress! Shout out to you Misty! You were amazing and handled our huge table like a champ! I was truly impressed with you. The food was very good(loved the rosemary fries) Nice ambiance and again service was awesome!
Love this place! Nothing like it in San Diego in my opinion and is great for my 3 year old son too! Staff was kind enough to make him biscuits with a candle for his birthday and couldnt be more thankful. Cant wait to do a company event here in the future as its huge and has everything youd want in venue.
Really fun place with heaps of activities and a good selection of beers
I get the feeling that this is a fairly new place, just happened to see it before hitting the freeway onramp and decided to check it out. No cover, youre free to roam around, various activities, several bars, bowling lanes. Gotta come back with some friends to check it out more!
Really fun and corky place to hang out. I had no idea this place existed until recently and I have been living here for over 8 years. Great for large groups.
First evening here for dinner and in time for happy hour prices. Very friendly with excellent service and we really enjoyed our meal!
One of my preferred places for delicious american food. Visited Sat afternoon. Prices are reasonable.
So fun, accessible and inexpensive. Particularly on Sundays they have a great special from 9pm-12am $25 all you can bowl and free pizza.
Best place for an adult party. Good for partys! Definitely reccomend. Our server was David V., he was very hospitable, warm and welcoming. Great food and lots of activities. Kinda expensive to play karaoke though. But good times nonetheless.
Okay, so after blasting Brewcade in its early days, Im happy to report theyve turned the place around, and its now a damn good spot to have a beer and play games.
This place is horrible. The management is horrible the service is horrible. Its hard to mess up bowling but the bowlings pretty bad too. The management has an attitude when you have a problem they confront you about it I would never go to this place and I hope they go out of business
It was really nice, decided to have a girls and kids kinda birthday and it was the perfect spot for us. Look forward to enjoying the place minus the kiddos next time.
Huge place with a lot of games, from jenga to bowling, karaoke, darts, etc. The drinks are good, I had the boozy milkshake ($10) and peanut fries ($13 and enough for 3). I really liked it, I recommend it. Can’t wait to go back!
Delightful stay for a romantic evening with wonderful ambience, a comfortable room
I really like Punch Bowl Social!! Spiked Milkshakes, really delicious food, fun games, private room karaoke make this a go to place when you want a place to just have a good time with friends. For this review let me start with the food which was all very good!!The Chips & Guac were made with Avocado, Roasted Poblano, Charred Corn, Pickled Jalapenos, Salsa Roja, & Corn Tortilla ChipsThe Knockoff Burger was Two Beef Patties, American Cheese, Comeback Sauce, Pickled Onion, Shredded Lettuce, Sesame Seed Bun, Rosemary FriesRoasted Poblano Baked Mac & Cheese which was Melted Cheese, Noodles, Roasted PoblanosFor drinks the following:Malted Maple Royale which was made with Jim Beam Maple Whiskey, Malted Milk, Vanilla Soft Serve, Nutmeg, Whipped Cream, Candied BaconJalapeño Cucumber Limeade made with House-Made Jalapeño Cucumber Syrup, Fresh Lime Juice, Sparkling WaterThey even gave baked in-house biscuits with jam which was sooooo good!!!The only issue which is why I took away a star (subject to change) was the service. Our server wasnt at the top of his game at all. We had to constantly remind him for requests which if the place were busy Id be a little more understanding but at 2pm in the afternoon on a weekday there wasnt a lot of people there. For example we placed our chip and guac order with drinks prior to placing our meal order in. He had to come back and ask what my drink order was. Later we received our main order prior to our chips & guac order!! Can only imagine if it was busy and there were more than 2 of us. Probably could be easily fixed if things were written down when placing our order the old school way.Overall Im sure Ill add that star back with my next visit because other than service everything else was good
This place was awesome! Games, good food, beer, bowling! And the ambiance was fantastic! Far cry from the Jeromes furniture store that it used to be. Highly recommended.
Very spacious, clean and good atmosphere, my kids loved it
Reserved an event room for $75 for my wifes birthday well before COVID shut down. Punch bowl was forced to close temporarily...i get that. However, failed promises, no returned calls and garbage auto respond emails...6 months later they still wont return my event deposit. Dont give them your deposit money!!!! They will take it and will not hold up their end of the deal. Shame on you punch bowl social... Classless. Take your money elsewhere.
Amazing place, i havent visited something as chill. D&B are similar but they are video games and arcade. The atmosphere and the vibes are unique. However, Bowling lanes needs to be improved honestly, other than that we visited this place 3 times in a week stay
Great place to hang out. Bar is great. Activities are fun. The downside is the food. Ive eaten there a few times and was not impressed at all. Didnt have high expectations either since its bar food. Would definitely recommend improving the kitchen.
Had an amazing evening celebrating a birthday at Punch Bowl downtown! Such a fun atmosphere, so much to do and AMAZING drinks! The floral drinks were perfect & not too sugary. This spot is ideal for groups and couples looking for an experience beyond the typical sit down and dine sort of evening. Limitless games, tasty food and a neat photo booth to remember the night! Loved it.Pro tip: The rosemary french fries are delicious & a side order of them is plenty for a couple of people to share!
Very awesome and fun place... Lots going on and perfect for large groups
Really fun place to unwind after a long day at work.
Great, budget-friendly bowling alley with lots of other things to do. Giant Jenga, wall Scrabble, darts, foosball, ping pong. Pretty good food and a nice bar as well! The space is super trendy and fun, too.
I’m disappointed because this place has a great concept that unfortunately falls short with disorganization. My family and I came here as a final get together before I moved to the bay, and knowing the stressful environment a big party can bring, I submitted an online form from their website to make a reservation since our party was 10 people. They didn’t get back to me within 24 hours so I figured I’d call and was successful in making my res. Great! Except the next day, I got a call about the inquiry I submitted on their site earlier that week.. could’ve been a simple miscommunication, so I didn’t think much of it.At the restaurant, we waited for....ever... for drinks. Having worked in both customer service and restaurants, I still worked to be patient, but when food orders came out 45 minutes after ordering them and we still didn’t have drinks, i was disappointed. We asked about them, and they promptly brought them over.We were also told happy hour would be starting within the hour, but when we then tried ordering happy hour drinks, another waitress told us that there was no happy hour that day. Which totally makes sense, it was a Sunday! But her saying “I don’t know where you got that from, it’s not today sorry” and clearly rolling her eyes and walking away... after we were told otherwise, was blatantly rude. We were kind, tipped 20%, and I’m all about understanding stuff happens! This was different.. it felt like the miscommunication between staff just impacted my experience negatively when I wish it hadn’t.In concept, a trendy, non-dave n busters type food and game vibe is GREAT. In reality, I don’t think this is what the original owner had in mind when this was executed.
Came here for a friends birthday. It was a slower night and we have pretty much free reign of the venue.First off, huge space! Im sure its not hard to fill on the weekends but on our night I felt like we were the misfits at the mall in a small city.Drinks and hospitality were great! The bartenders were very nice and accommodating. We ended up doing a round of bowling for 8 of us which seemed a little weird we only had one hour and 15 minutes. If anyone has had friends out on a birthday drinking we all know keeping people on *task* for bowling, darts, shuffleboard, cornhole, etc can be a very hard task. Maybe extend the time on the slower nights so people dont feel rushed. Good news for me and 2 or 3 of our friends we arent that good so it kept the game moving alongBring your own socks or you can buy some really cool keepsakes for $7, to which I lost in a bet.Overall, great experience and I will be back.
Sauce for the three cheese enchiladas was the worst sauce I have ever tasted. Service was good. Liked the vibe of this place. Probably wont be coming here again only because of the food. Someone from our party had to return her food and she ordered the same thing as me.
Great place for a large group or company party. Lots of games; lawn, alley, bar, family, arcade. Never really got to the second floor.
New and fun. Great space for big parties or just looking for a lot of different activities to do under one roof, corn hole, bowling, darts, karaoke, ping pong, and jenga. The late nice menu is beyond delicious and priced to save pockets.
Great welcoming atmosphere. Food was phenomenal. Service needs improvement.
Fun place, Friendly Staff,Good Food
Went there for the first time two weeks ago. We had my daughters Engagement Party there. It was great. We had the second floor to ourselfs. We bowled, did karaoke, and had a person bartender. The food was excellent and hot. Recommend this place for parties every time...
Came at 11:30 am 1/5/20. Pregnant hostess was pointing everywhere instead of seating anyone. No servers. No bartender. No one brought us menus. Left after waiting 20 minutes, other tables went to get their own menus but still had no one to take orders.
Good place to hang out and do more than just sit, eat and drink. Its definitely more dynamic and fun. Just not a good place to talk because its loud. Went there for a work event and had a great time!
Great spot for drinks and food with friends or co workers! Lots of space and big tables for groups and tons of games to choose from: bowling, skee ball, foosball, and corn hole just to name a few! This place has good cocktails and the food is good too. I came here with my girlfriend and her old classmates from college and we all had a great time!
There is plenty of room for large parties, plenty of games, good food, and tasty drinks. The games and punch bowls are kind of pricey but the punch bowls taste amazing though.
Fantastic afternoon spent at Punch Bowl Social. Drinks and food were both great, terrific atmosphere that makes you want to have fun (with all sorts of options to bring that to fruition). Bowling, darts, ping pong, corn hole, bocce, skee ball and pinball. All kinds of unique spots to sit, people watch and hang out with friends. Big, open and welcoming, can’t wait to go back.
Honestly think the place was alright. The pace has a ton of games to play while drinking. Watched a few football games here and it was nice. In regards to the games, you have to pay of course to bowl or play ping pong. The ping pong balls aren’t even real ping pong balls (probably because they didn’t wan put the ball to bounce around everywhere) so you can’t really play ping pong. Place was an alright
Great place to hang out, drinks are great and brunch is surprisingly good!
Everyone has been talking about Punch Bowl so we took a group to check it out for ourselves. It was so much fun! We will be back!
Great place, service and food good.
Had a great time! Brunch was good, variety of drinks. There is a lot of entertainment: shuffel board, ping pong, darts, bowling, arcade games and lots of couches and tables. Such a fantastic place to hang out! I will definitely come back.
A bit over priced, but super cool place. They have something to do for everyone. As long as it’s not closed off for some other event. We were excited to play Bags and bocci ball but both of those were closed off for unknown reasons. Only thing we had access to was darts or their small arcade. Still a good time though
Drinks were inconsistent and the service was non existent. The bowling was alright and its the only thing you can hear while youre there. The food was good but it didnt make sense to wait nearly 40 mins for a chicken sandwich after everyone else had their food and ordered at the same time....no apology from the staff either which is always nice. I went for a work event and thought it was going to be fun but I wouldnt go again due to the disappointment. It was an interesting experience.
Super cool, all the games without being crowded or rushed, great service staff!
There is literally every game you can think of here. Incredible for fun parties! There are multiple bars, lounge areas, shuffle board, bowling, vintage arcade, private karaoke rooms, king sized foosball, jenga, board games etc. Tons of fun. The food is really good and the craft cocktails are delicious!!
Great happy hour and hang out place for a group. Good drink, bar and food. Game areas with good variety and spacious.
Fun place for large groups, food is okay and our waiter was indifferent. He was not attentive and we had to flag him down for everything. Next time Ill come back to rent a karaoke room.
Cool spot, but they were out of root beer, pepperoni, and only had 2 darts for 3 dartboards.Service was good and the food was soso.Fun spot though.
The good- You can always find something to do, and this place is huge. The food and cocktails are high quality. The meh - The music is all over the place. You will hear techno and desert rock back to back. There’s no smoking patio despite how large the building is.The ugly - The acoustics of the building aren’t really set up to have that many parties and music on at the same time. If 10 birthday parties crammed into a warehouse/bowling alley/karaoke bar isn’t your vibe, this place will overwhelming. Noise wise, a lot of areas directly clash with each other.
This place is mediocre at best. The concept of it is great, however, the execution is very poor. All three times I have been here, the service was extremely slow and the servers were inattentive. This most recent experience, it took our server almost an hour to take our food orders and my fries arrived cold. It was a weekday night and not busy at all. The food is okay, but people dont necessarily come here for the food. The bowling alley is not a legitimate alley (not greased and the pins are attached by strings), and the layout could use some serious redesigning to provide more games. Id have to say the most disappointing thing about this place is the customer service/management. I spoke with a manager, Zachary, about the slow service and he became extremely defensive, was unapologetic, and definitely left my party and me with a bad taste in our mouths. Three strikes, I will not be recommending this place to anybody.
Awesome place!!! Lots of fun things to do for all ages. Bartender was nice did a good drink
Had our office holiday party there and pretty disappointed with whats included for entertainment: one shuffleboard, 4 dart boards and some basic board games like Clue and such. And they ran out of food for our brunch buffet before everyone had the chance to get one plate of food.Food was good if only there was enough to go around.
Lots of fun activities to do here- board games, bowling, darts, sand bags, etc. Good drink menu. Expensive though. Drinks are pricey. And although some games are free, bowling is not. And some games require a Punch Bowl card ($1) and additional money to pay for the games.
Interesting feeling to this restaurant. The inside walls are nothing special. Lots of space inside. Food is good but can take a little time to come out. Parking in the area is terrible though.
If you are a foodie this is your place. If you are a picky eater you will need to order off the kids menu. The games are great and my office had a good time. Our server was very attentive.
A classy Dave and Busters with much better food. Multiple bars. 2 different bowling areas. 4 vs 4 foosball! And tons of other games. Prices seem a bit steep at first glance but youre paying for having everything under one roof. Sliders were incredible.
This place is really cool and instagrammable. There are a bunch of activities & games like shuffle board, bowling, ping pong, etc. The cocktails are great! The photo booth is a nice touch too.
American food, yeah, excellent. Food was so yummy. The staff was very kind and attentive. This place has good reviews for a reason.
EVERYONE WAS COOL THIS SPACE IS HUGE FOR ALL KINDS OF ACTIVITIES.Also there is a karaoke room in the back.
I have been here a few times and now feel a review is a must. Dalton is one of the finest, knowledgable, and hard working bartenders I have ever had in San Diego. Coming from NY that says a lot. He is always smiling and checking in to make sure things are going amazing. Another star here is in the kitchen. Kyle can cook the heck out of some food. He is nice and always brings a smile when coming out of the kitchen. Honestly, I never wrote a review here because I never met these fine two workers before my last visits. This is the place to be with smiles and a wonderful happy hour. You can get some classic cans here for only $3. Stop by for and drink, play games, and even karaoke. Also, an amazing place for a work get together with bowling, pool, dart, Jenga, and the list goes on and on. Make sure to ask for Dalton and have a blast. Well see you there.
Went here for a large group work party and we all had a really fun time. The bowling was really popular with our group and I never would have thought, but I really enjoyed the karaoke. They served buffet food as part of the package and again, really surprised at how good it was.Definitely a fun time, especially if you have a group.
Well we had a big party booked for a work gathering and they decided to rent out all the activities to other private parties. Had they let us know that we wouldnt be able to do anything but eat their mediocre food, we would have chosen another place for team building exercises. The manager came by and was rude and didn’t express any sorrow or solution to the situation. If a big party is booking you should let them know of the circumstances... mind blown.
Great place to bring a group of friends for an enjoyable evening out. Various indoor activites from bowling to board games. Its very spacious and has areas to simply sit and talk (over loud music). Also has an upper level bar and game area.
Be aware of raw chicken, the place is nice for playing and partying, but do not eat there, food is tasteless and might get raw chicken, is very bad do not recommend as a restaurant
There needs to be more surrounding this place. Make a seconds gas lamp. Its far to nice of a place to be away from everything.
The food was absolutely terrible, horrific service, rude management. Will not return, I wish they would turn this establishment into something better then this. It has so much unused potential.
Pretty chill place to hangout. I like the open feel to it, compared to the common bar that can make you feel claustrophobic. The food is pretty good and reasonably price. They have some free games or you can pay for other games (like bowling). Would like to see them double their beer handles (only like 7 handles) because San Diego is a big beer town. Other than that, I would definitely comeback.
The green chorizo fries are absolutely fire! Chill spot, with games. Not good for a quiet evening..
Terrible experience!! And no real action taken by management, specifically Zachary Heidrich, the Operations Manager to address their mistake. We booked a table for 15 over 1 week ago for our company to have a small outing with our out of town guests. Punch Bowl had a private party booked for 100% of their activities already for 4 hrs from the time of our reservation. But we were not told this at anytime until we already had ordered and been served $600 of food and drinks. We arrived at 6pm. I can assure you none of us came for the food... it’s light bar food... Nothing special. As we finished food, around 7:30 we started to try to play any games... 100% of the games were reserved for the private party. We were told... “you can play board games”. Really?!! No one is coming here for the food!!Once we realized that all games were reserved until 10pm, we asked to speak with management. Punch Bowl staff had called this morning to confirm our reservation and did not mention anything about a private party occupying 100% of the games. When we addressed this with management, and we suggested that they should have a policy to notify large groups of private party debt outs, Zachary went into a rant that they commonly have 300 covers (meal orders). We were in there on a Wednesday night and other than the private party there were 2 other tables of 5 each!! Then Zachary went on to say we shouldn’t question his business model. At this point I expected maybe Zachary to try to make us happy... his offer was to cover 1/2 of our bowling costs if we waited until 10pm. Really???The setup at Punch Bowl is great...The management is terrible and needs to understand the customer experience of everyone other than a private party. I am 100% fine with a private party... especially if that your focus and biz model.... but this is a terribly managed business. Set expectations and then exceed them. And if you make a mistake, make it right. Do not just take the $600 on slow night and then screw us over.
It was my 1st time there, but it wont be my last. Great food. Great drinks! Lots of things to do there.Games
The various game options and casual environment created a nice place for our design team to relax and bond outside of the office. Cant wait to go back and try a karaoke room!
Good selection of food and excellent place to have fun with friends with an awesome atmosphere!
Lots of games to choose from, very good variety of alcohol. I came here for a business event, and was very satisfied with the employees and general cleanliness
Lots of fun! Many different activities to do and the food was outstanding! Will come back!
Pretty awesome place to have a birthday party. I really like the Punch Bowl Social San Diegogames. Drinks are reasonable, although it gets really crowded sometimesPunch Bowl Social San Diego
Great food and drinks and awesome bowling! Its great for large group gatherings.
Good hangout spot with decent beer offerings -- the foosball table needs to be fixed though so we can enjoy it more!
Pros: Nice environment for children and hanging out with a group of friends. Arcades, lawn games, etc.Cons: Not a place for adults. Apathetic servers; bland food; small bowling lanes, bowling ball return machine is right next to the line; children everywhere... modernized Chuck e Cheese.
Very loud. Food is good but loud bowling noise (the bowling ball hitting the pins) makes it difficult to enjoy food or relax.-->editing my review since the owner was nice enough to comment.I merely reviewed the late-lunch (2:30pm) experience - I was seated by the host/hostess and did not choose my table. My review pertains to the late-lunch experience, to the exclusion of the bowling+social aspirations of the place which I think are cool. It isnt an intimate lunch place to have a serious conversation (my bad) but its a fun destination and the decor and vibe are definitely cool!
Very Nice set up. Menu is lacking choices. And the meals on there everyday people do not eat. Prices on drinks are a little high but not the worst Ive seen in SD
Order a spirit based on the menu pricing. Asked for it to be served neat, which in my mind was simply without ice. When I received my bill there was an additional 40% charge added that I was not aware of when ordering. Customers should be aware of unlisted additional charges especially if the drink price is listed on the menu. Waiter talked to the bar manager about the situation and it was basically chalked up as tough luck.
Great atmosphere and amazing concept, however good service can be a tad off if you go in when it isnt busy. 3rd time in during a non busy time. Will not be going back for a 4th.
Not a real bowling alley, terrible lanes. More of a bar
