This cathedral is the most peaceful place in all of busy San Diego. Ive attended a few masses here recently and they are moving and inspiring and I always get exactly what I needed that day. Visitors are welcome. Wear a mask and they will explain to you how to sit during the Covid situation.

It was a very beautiful Catholic cathedral. There are many life size statues of many wonderful saints. There is also a new statue of Mother Teresa sank teresa and the Pope John it is gorgeous cathedral lovely lit and the acoustics are wonderful. For a mass today we had the I dont know how many pipes are in the Oregon but its a big organ up in the loft and there was singing at the mass it was very spiritual. It reminded me of masses when I was a child absolutely lovely. There is a restroom and free parking.

Simple but beautiful church. The outside of this church looks great and the inside gives praise to God too. Lost a star because the prayers did not specifically mention our men and women in the military. Remember that Jesus died for our soul but our men and women in the military are ready n willing to die for our freedom, including the freedom to gather at places just like this church. Also, the homily •almost• had a political bias. No politics! The simple solution is usually not the best solution.

Dont attend the Cathedral regularly, but I have always left with a good experience. Thought provoking sermons, very well organized, good choice and amount singing. Parking is always convenient just across the street. Always room to sit.

Beautiful Cathedral near little Italy. Very helpful volunteer inside allowing me to use the toilets there. Nice to sit quietly and take stock.

Beautiful church. They have some beautiful statues representing our blessed Mother and so many of our wonderful saints. We attended daily mass celebrated at noon and it was great. The priests homily was definitely uplifting with regard to how we each are called to lift each other up. .n

The Lutheran Church on the same street a few blocks away shows more kindness to strangers and locals.

Actually, I visited my friend in building behind Saint Joseph Cathedral!However, I have visited inside Cathedral months ago!Impressive pastor led impressive remodel of Saint Joseph Cathedral! Beautifully stunning stain glass windows witness to Salvation History! Truly GOAT! Greatest of all time!The new statues, candles, confessionals, and other renovations are truly renovations! Catholic Church is the Kingdom of Triune God on earth! Holy Spirit is holding its act together though sinners are a plenty. Catholic Church is heavens hospital for saving souls. As Temples of the Holy Spirit, Bishops have divine moral obligation to live lives of holiness and purity!As baptized Catholics, we believe the Church is true! As Blessed Virgin Mother, Mary mandates,we do whatever He tells us so we honor her since He said Behold your mother!I love the beauty, truth, and goodness in being Catholic! Our Lady of Good Success, triumph and reign!

Beautiful church. Very peaceful place to pray. Love that they have mass daily in the afternoon but I wish they had daily evening as well.

I loved it! I wanted to use the restroom soooooo bad after driving for almost 4 hours and no place for that anywhere around but this beautiful church thank God! The only thing is that I couldnt find parking apparently they dont have. Not nice. But I stayed for a while is a nice church tho. :)

I had no ententions of coming here and ended up listening and watching a 1207 mass. It was 15 yrs since i had been to church. So many memories from the past. All good ones. It brought some much needed peace i wasnt looking for going through some horrible times rt now watching my father fade away with dementia was something no one ever prepared me for and its been killing me slowly. I hope and i know ill be back. My father always took us to mass every Sunday growing up showed us what was rt and what was wrong. To work hard and to be humble not to tske one penny if it didnt belong to you. I guess coming to church was a blessing today. Thank you

Catholic church in the heart of downtown San Diego. Confessions are given on Saturdays and weekly and daily mass are celebrated as well. Plenty of off street parking as well as street parking, located in a safe area of downtown (Cortez Hill) just a few blocks from the 5 freeway.

We just had our grandchildrens baptism done here and it is a beautiful place. The Deacon who performed the baptism was absolutely wonderful.

There is parking in the right side if you are in front, you can see a big parking . Not the little one! I loved it because it is the house of our Father and it is beautiful and peaceful to rejoice with Him...

This service was a Celebration, by Bishop John Dolan, of whats known as a Blue Mass.We offer Prayers for all Police, City, State, Federal Officers and First Responders.We traditionally have a Red Mass for Judges, Attorneys and Judicial Workers.A White Mass is for Doctors Nurses an everyone serving in the Healthcare Profession.These Masses welcome Worshippers and their Families of all Faith Traditions.

Great place to connect with God. The only bad thing it is the parking but it is the area. I went to a wedding there and it was lovely.

I noticed how the new pastor Fr. Navarra seldom gave Sunday morning personal homilies and instead gave this responsibility to his volunteer deacon. The deacon always tries his best, thanks for the effort, we appreciate it!

I really dislike this and it breaks my heart I cant leave a one star but hopefully they can see and do something about this in different occasions my sister and I had a talk with alicia Gutierrez she is in the office and part of the Hispanic community unfortunately she turned us away we said nothing to my mom whe have been Going to this church for sooo many years we just never said anything to her but a month ago my mom called she is in a wheelchair and is elderly she is almost bedridden and this lady alicia was so rude to my mom. My poor mom after a month and a half still has Hopes this lady will return her call I just dont have the heart to tell my mom that this lady is a wolf dressed in sheep clothes and I also have an uncle that dose a lot of volunteer work that I havent told him about this. I hope someone can read this and make a change this breaks my heart God is not about egos

Great church home for all. The pastor is an inspiration and down to earth. Parishioners are a warm and welcoming bunch that is diverse in age, backgrounds, and ethnicity. Made me go to church once again after years of being a disenfranchised Catholic.

While visiting from Las Vegas, it was a blessing to find a 7am Sunday Mass due to the fact that we were in training from 9-5 about a mile away.

Beautiful Catholic church in the heart of downtown.

My wife went to school here 50 years ago. Though we live across the county, she still comes here for mass several times a month. Though eclectic attendees, she finds it safe and supportive of her spiritual life. I find it inspirational. Good parking in a lot across the street. The church rents the lot for its masses so there is no charge.

Great Catholic Church to attend Mass daily if you work in downtown San Diego. Daily weekday Mass is at 12:07 pm Monday through Friday. Father has you Blessed and filled with the Holy Spirit in 35 minutes during the weekday Masses!

It has been our church for 38 years, we are sad that they are going to move Father Pat to another church, he is awesome.

Father Pat is fantastic, holy, loves God the the sheep of his flock . and he has remodeled the church and made it look so good replacing old statues with new wood carved statues from Italy so beautiful now and the altar is beautiful they placed marble all over everything is just fantastic go there and try it

Visited San Diego for a couple of days and decided to go to Mass. We were late for Mass but was able to join the rosary prayer after Mass. The ladies were very nice and friendly.

Well just leave it at that. Im not at liberty to discuss religious places. You need to experience it for yourself.
