Wonderful beach with plenty of parking & sand to setup for a day at the beach. The weekend is insane & we only walk through. On the weekdays we stay, swim & play.

Enjoy going to the bay, lots of parking and usually very clean. However, lately the old RVs parked on the street surrounding the bay has made the area dirty and with trash all around their RVs on the lawns. Blocks cyclist from seeing cars pulling out. Hopefully they will get the area cleaned up and safe for families and pets again...

A beautiful, peacefully quiet and green grassy place that is inside Mission Bay Park, San Diego. Theres always a place to sit, bring a blanket and some folding chairs like me and the wife do, and bring something to eat .Now thats fun-great views, take pics, I live here and still I like to take pics. I can get a Recent one of my wife or me with the cool bay as background and send them to relatives- good idea ha!!

It is great bring yourself out and dance with me through the streets, even rent me, but please be discrete.

A good place to have a campfire and relax seeing the night away. The down side is finding a spot before the fire pits are all taken. Spots go fast on the weekend and on holidays. I was surprised that parking was optional during covid-19 drama.

We loved it everyone was spaced out plenty of room for everyone, and the was perfect nice and warm..

This is a great little beach for family time and letting the kiddos swim and play in the water. Also great for paddle boarding.

Can I give it 6 stars?! Because I would. Nice place in beautiful san diego. Where kids can swim and grown up relax.....

Cool spot to hang around and bbq with the fam, plenty of trees and spots to take a nap. Good place for swimming for the kids, no waves to worry about.

Always nice. Busy as usual. Sometimes theres a few too many homeless or camper dwellers. So keep an eye on your stuff and kiddos.

Went to a family outing here and my brother in law stepped on a 2 inch rusty nail despite wearing sandles. Be careful and watch for nails.

It was beautiful well-lit just a wonderful place to be course its right at the end of the freeway so its easy to get to and its just a fabulous absolutely fabulous

SOME THINGS WE SAW Half the areas inside the park require an admission price such as the Science Museum and Japanese Tea Garden while others were easy to just enter and view such as the bison enclosure, the Dutch windmill, many playing fields and playgrounds.

Great for kids.. We were instructed not to launch our inflable paddle board here

Lots to see, lots to do. From taking your bike for a ride, taking in the sunset with a walk or enjoying some time with family on the beach or working on your fishing reel thus park gives you lots of freedom. Im no doctor but Playa is a good place to release stress from work, if you know youre going to be stuck in the highway yall might as well put some running shoes and join the hundreds that do so here.

2019. Parks in the area, Bird and Lyft scooters to ride on the mile long sidewalk, and lots of grass area to sit and watch the sunset and bay.

The concierge handing out fresh towels was wonderful and very helpful. He even gave my wife a massage afterwards for a minimal charge. Would shower here again!

Park is nice and modern. However the mission bay concrete footpath runs right next to it. Gotta keep close eye on kiddos with ped and bike traffic flying by.

A great place for families. The secure cove is surrounded on three sides by grass, picnic tables and fire pits.

Beautiful spot. Nice calm water for kayaking and paddle boarding. Most disgusting porta potty weve ever seen and trash all over the beach though.

Our friend was kind enough to hold our spot from 6AM till everyone arrived at 5. Beautiful spot, quintessential San Diego atmosphere and the kids can swim in the inlet.

Its hard to get more classic California than this, with its view of the bay, palm trees, and laid back atmosphere.

Came here around sun down did a bomb fire it’s a very peaceful spot will be coming back!

Nice bathroom! Simple, clean with one urinal and separate toilet stall with four (4) feet high wall and locking door for privacy. There is also a small changing area (five feet (5) by six feet (6) inside the restroom itself (no doors, just a built in cement bench). The shower stall is located on the outside of the restroom. The shower stall has three (3) walls which means the public near you can observe you. We visited the restroom at 1am and it was still open. It does have a security gate so the bathroom is probably closed at some time but we dont know the hours.

As any park bathroom or can use some more cleaning. But mission bay is always the best. This spot is rite by the roller coaster so its easy walking. Great place to barbeque an hang out with the family an friends. Great spot for the sunset

Very simple 24-hour bathroom and outdoor shower with no he did water cold water to wash your hands cold water to shower with but still 24 hours and fairly clean considering it is a public bathroom on a busy Park and Beach.

Although not topnotch, this is a decent enough facility to wash the salty scales and sand off your body after a dip in the bay. The restrooms are also good and hygenic.

I went here on October 5th for my annual American Assets Trust Employee Party (Pacific Ridge Apts.). They pulled out all the stops, Phils BBQ too. Great day, great park & GREAT PEOPLE too. San Diego is the place to be ifya wanna have fun in the summer months. Hot diggity Dawgz..

Pretty clean in morning after cleaned but goes down hill drastically until next morning clean.

We have a portable fire ring and brought it to this location to hang out. It was very nice. I liked it because there was no one around and we could chill. It was a beautiful night and peaceful too. If you’re looking to relax on a weeknight, this is a great place to go.

Had a great time out here with friends....nice park area lots of open space. It has a small parking lot but thats in the front. They have parking in the back as well. Lots of activities and fun.

Always feels safe.

This is the second time I have been here and it is a great place to hang out with your family. I love the beach but this is a good place to take little children so that they can hang out in the bay the majority of the day. There are bathrooms in close vicinity and there is a playground as well. On the weekends during the Summer months the parking lots fill up quick so plan on getting there before 10am to set up and obtain a good spot.
