The more I skate here the more I find little areas and lines that are fun. Its been pretty chill lately. I read other reviews about homeless and weed smoking but I havent noticed any of that. There is usually trash first thing in the morning but we just clean that up as there are plenty of trash cans around.

The homeless and the pot smoking kills it for me. Theres a some type of center there and its constantly being graffitied looks bad. My 12 year old daughter plays softball there on some of her away games. Not the safest feeling place.

Out of 3 of the skateparks I went to in San Diego on a recent vacation, this was by far the best.Fully spaced out park w/ out to much going on to the point that it’s overwhelming (like Linda Vista Park).Plenty of obstacles ( ledges / rails / hubbas / quarter pipe / euro gap / bowl section / mini bowl quarter pipe zone )... basically something for everyone trying to skate.

I love this park! mostly because of its heritage as being on of San Diegos first competition skate parks, which attracts amateurs, pros and the observers. This area receives an extra special bit of love from residents and the adjoining school. The reason for not giving 5 stars is the occupancy of homeless around the public bathroom. There has not been a day of passage i have not received a request for change. Outside of that, if you can hold it, it is highly advised to hold it and enjoy the park.

Ja

The infield bases need work as the posts for the bases are to deep and do not hold the bases in place

Its a nice little park with three distinct areas one for kids to play on a pretty big playground. Then there is an area for families to have a birthday or bar b que. It also has a well taken care of baseball diamond that is fenced off so you can, and people do, bring your dog to run around. Or play baseball of course. And finally it has one of the coolest skate parks ive seen.

Tiny park with a play area for kids and a skateboarding rink nearby. Decent place to walk your dog. However, it seems like theres often homeless or seedy looking people congregating near the restroom area.

Pros: My FAVORITE skatepark close to home! Fun for all levels of skateboarders, I really enjoy the boxes, bench, gaps, and rails this park provides. The concrete is smooth and easy to ride.Cons: Can feel packed during busy hoursOther than that, love the locals and this park!

Id really like to skate those concrete planter box ledges near the parking lot, were there not notches cut out of them. Those sure look fun! The skatepark is just ok. Feels a bit like jousting when crowded as the park is narrow, and the back and forth flow gets boring quick. Kids standing in front of quarter pipes.

Review №42

Better than nothingThe lack of attention to the designing of this park is glaring when you see what the designer did for Linda vista. The ball was dropped, just watch the kids push across the 50 yards of flat ground in the park to hit a kicker ramp...the bowl is just as underutilized as the skaters said it would be during the design meetings. Close but no cigar. The cool thing is because the parks is so lame it’s never too crowded unlike it’s Linda vista counterpart.

Au
Review №51

This skatepark is insanely nice and VERY well designed. Its completely huge and has plenty of things to warm up on, learn new tricks, and push yourself on tricks you can already do. The only drawback is that its so large that if the park gets crowded (which it will be constantly for a few months since its brand new) its literally so large that an obstacle will look open but youll end up cutting someone off or vice versa thats coming from the other direction because you couldnt see them before your approach. Even if its crowded tho its still worth skating just leave yourself enough time to wait around for things a bit
