This is one of favorite parks of the park. It’s a shame you can’t get closer to the tree but as usual people were hurting the tree so they fenced it. So now you can admire its massive size from afar. There is grass to have a picnic if you want and it’s sort of on the edge of the park so there isn’t as many people either which is nice. It’s kinda of hidden so I suggest pulling up your google maps while in the park to find it.

I love this tree. I grew up climbing on it, and my kids also played on this wonderful old tree. But too many of us on here prompted the caretakers to fence it in. I hope it has a long life

An excellent spot to have a picnic on a sunny day. The tree is absolutely huge and breathtaking to see in person

Its a beautiful open lawn thats good for a picnic. It was better before they had to fence off the fig tree, though. You can purchase food from the nearby grill or better still, pack a picnic from home.

I remember climbing the Moreton Fig Tree a child in the 1960s, my son climbed it, soon after it was fenced off for survival. It has gone memories and more being made around it with our granddaughter
