So we went here to visit a friend who we have not seen in almost 20 years. Make sure to bring your ID. We were only given 10 minutes, and that was because the border patrol guy was nice about it. We were thankful for every second. Nice place to visit, ride bikes, hike, enjoy the beach. Looks a lot more fun on the Mexico side. I would like to visit that side in the future someday.

We visited this place on one of our last days in the states and Im so glad we made the effort. The access road was closed in the day but its easy to park near the entrance and walk in. I recommend taking water and snacks with you as its a mile or so walk. If you are unsure of where to head there may be some border protection staff around that can direct you. We found the staff we came across to be friendly and informative. For someone visiting from Australia this was a bizarre but absolutely fascinating place to visit and I highly recommend making the effort to get there and check it out.

Nice beach and a cool place to visit. A couple of hundred meters south you have good waves for surfing

It’s a beach..... sometimes waves are good. Live music quite often, and plenty of lovely locals to interact with.There are tons of rats at night and in the morning, so walk abreast and walk slow to avoid stepping on a rat.Nearby restaurants offer a good selection of local flavors, and international cuisine.Nearby hotels are neat, inexpensive and guarded Day and night by staff.

If you swim round the wall cops maybe come out the light house and willshoot you so you cant go around the wall

Waze gave me directions, but I was supposed to go to USA side, instead I went to Mexico side.... took 4 hours to get back to California

Fascinating place to visit at least. It is safe here. The Mexican police are nearby and the US Border Patrol is always keeping an eye on the fence.

It is a place you can take a peek at the other country from the wall, however; you can feel any friendship from this place.

Ive spent a lot of time in Peace Arch on the North Side of the country. This place has a totally different vibe.first of all, San Deigo was historically a Mexican City conquered by America, When this line was drawn, the war was over and the place beacome slightly more peaceful, but never really was the same.Now its totally fenced off. again nothing like Peace Arch cause of the circumstances with mexico and the states. This is a place of sadness and hope in America...
