Love this place. Super classy ambiance. Great place for a date or GNO. They also have live music or DJ on Friday and Sat nights.

One of my favorite weekend spots in LA. Good food, great drinks, great prices, awesome service and amazing atmosphere and music. New Orleans is my favorite place of all. So any time I have the chance to visit a Nola inspired restaurant, I do. Most fail me short but not the little Easy.

It was very nice place to meet people, good music, and good drinks. Maybe a few moreplaces to sit and tables to put my drink down to clap and dance, on the lower level. I would like to go back to listen to the DJ and more live entertainment. I wished it was a Friday or Saturday so I could have stayed longer. I had a great time. It was put together very well. Often too numerous people to enjoy because of limited space. A fine selection of beverages, however, and interesting musical selections. One can enjoy a Cold One before seeing musical acts such as the rock and roll band X at Casbah, down the street.

I dont really like the flow of this venue to be honest. Also, I havent gotten a beer in a while but recall being shocked at how overpriced it was here.

I go here regularly! Its one of my favorite places. They hold great house/techno events that are normally cheap or free. The drinks here are top notch and at a fair price $8. The security guard and bartenders are always super nice!

Honest to god, when I first came to San Diego and knew NO ONE, I was ready to pack my bags and try somewhere new...that is, until I found the Kava Lounge. They have some pretty awesome organic cocktails! I had one called the passionate pirate I think, it was vodka, lemonade and passion fruit. Yum! I also had a drink that was cucumber and lime flavored but I didnt catch the name. Very tasty!I went to Kava to watch a belly dance performance, which was very cool. The place is pretty small though, can get pretty crowded.

First time at Kava last night. Didnt know anything about it. It is underground. The entertainment wasnt very good. I dont see them in the music industry in the near or far future. Most of the audience was their friends. The place is very dark couldnt even see the check. Its not my kind of place. At least last night. Maybe they have better music I dont know. But service was quick so thats why I give them 3 stars not 2.

This is one of the last bastions of underground electronic music in San Diego. Each night has a different crew of DJs and decorators so each night you go there has a different vibe and different crowd. Never gets boring! The sound system is excellent and the people that go there are chill, laid back, and non-pretentious. The dress code is pretty much what you make it, but, people tend to dress creatively which is awesome. Kava is my go-to spot almost every weekend now. Pro-tip: Check out their online event calendar to get an idea of what type of act/music will be happening on a given night.

We come here for tech support night. Mainly to see Donald Thump. Great spot for dancing!

Excellent bartenders, strange location, fun events and music, kind of gritty ambience. Interesting characters. If I wasnt the kind of person to appreciate the not so normal, I could see myself having issue with Kava Lounge. Good thing Im me, 5 stars.

Love the people, music, energy, and drink menu for this place. Wish there was more seating and that the bar line did not spill into the dance floor. Also bathrooms seriously need help.

I LOVE the Kava Lounge. I’ve been coming here pretty consistently for the last few months and every single time I’ve had an absolute blast. They have one of the nicest security guards always on point (shout out to Dante!!), the drinks aren’t ridiculously overpriced, it’s usually pretty cheap to get in and there’s hardly ever a line. i’ve seen some unbelievable techno, deep house, and vapor wave DJs here and they’ve all been phenomenal.10/10 would highly recommend.

Good cheap drinks. 50 bucks and you can leave this place hammered. Bring cash though. Music is awesome

Grungy dance club with great electronic live performances and a decently priced bar. Definitely would suggest Friday and Saturday night events they are a blast.

Awesome little place. I am from the Bay Area and it felt like a little burner club in the mission. Nice people, cool drinks and KAVA! If you like liquor Kava may not be enough to mellow you out but if you have friend who like to party and you do not you can get a little chill out and still drive. I recommend the Belly Dance nights too!

The only reason this is getting 2 stars is because of the drinks--super good! But its a run down bar with chipped tables and old seats. Would not go again.

Would have liked to see their dress code on their website. It was my first time going and the guysat the for were super friendlyto me...I think they knew I dont go out much. The lounge was small and intimate but clean. I couldnt smell any alcohol out of the door which means they are a well mannered lounge. Keep up the great workguys.

Not very good. tried the kava, tasted wierd and didnt seem to have a point to it. The place is cramped and there was supposed to be a psychedelic art on event but there were only 2 artists that had people crowded around them to the point where it was really difficult to see anything.
