TSRI auditorium, to hear music, usually jazz, as scheduled by the Athenaeum Music and Arts Library. Beautiful location, ample parking. Excellent acoustics from any seat, at all levels of the auditorium.Seating appears to be comfortable. However, I struggle to gain actual comfort, through all performances, because the leg room is profoundly short. There isnt any, even though I am not overly tall. I therefore feel constantly cramped, restricted, as in airline economy seating.
I was there for chamber music performance by San Diego Symphony Orchestra - and it was spectacular. SRAs seats are pretty good, and 2 hour performance did not take a huge toll of a back or a rear. I had a pleasure of sitting in the center section (~middle set of rows) and the left section (mid set of rows as well). For an Average Joe like myself - when it comes to acoustics of the hall - I had zero issues with the sound. No propagation latency or excessive reflection. This is kind of expected given the size of the auditorium, but still, it sounded nice for the lack of better terms.Parking is free and accessible (~5 mins walk from the lot) and wheelchair-friendly.
Wonderful acoustics. It was hard to find the auditorium (even after finding the event parking sign), especially in the dark.
A bit old fashioned/dated but good acoustics. Good value for show. Great organization deal to offer rental discounts to non profits.
First concert here was Mozart Up Close. Loved that it was open seating, came early and got a good spot. Definitely recommend
Terrific acoustics, comfortable seating and lots of parking.
