Came here because I was heavily recommended to. Felt a little dizzy with all the b.o. around us and heavy moshing to the live band - TOTALLY not my scene... until the DJ and strobe lights came on.NOW its a pah-tay! Their walls lit up to visuals consisting of comics, dancing bears, half-GaGa half-Britney heads singing to the harmonies of Backstreet Boys Backstreets Back mixed with a killer trance beat. Nothing hear sounds cheesy/amateurish, and nothing here ends with a clashing beat or drop that doesnt seamlessly mold into the next song. Impressed with the music and the men in leather chaps gyrating to the interlude show near midnight

Bootie is probably my favorite dance party in SF. Its hosted at DNA Lounge every Saturday night, and features cool bands and DJs each week. This is my first time here, but Im already in love with the atmosphere, the crowd, and the music. The venue for Bootie is huge, with two floors and multiple dance floors. It kind of reminds me of El Squid Roe in Cabo.

The venue is fantastic, finding the entrance was another story. It appears Google has somewhat corrected the address, but this is a place where the entrance and the exit are in different places. You go past the address specified as the location, take the first left, and the entrance is in the middle of the block on your left. There is no parking associated with the venue, but Valet, street, and pay parking are nearby.Bassmt is a huge place, and it seems to go on forever with room after cool room.

Bassmnt nightclub is the only club in downtown San Diego Gaslamp Quarter that caters to the people. The best 18 and up venue with the ability to still serve its 21 and up guest, without losing the nightclub vibe.I personally love Bassmnt because of the front of house staff, specifically Eric Meeler. He is the VIP & Marketing Representative for the club and goes above and beyond to offer the best experience every time. He surpasses any other club or promoter when it comes to creating the best experience possible.Aside from the great customer service, Bassmnt offers 3 separate bar areas (21+ only) with multiple DJs. Natasha is the best bartender they have; always there with a smile. Not to mention, she makes a mean Old Fashion. If you want a VIP table, Eric is the man to talk to, and Orean is the man that makes the magic happen. Those two working together is another reason why Bassmnt outshines the competition. Just make sure, if you do book a table there, to request Emily as you Bottle Service Waitress. She has the best attitude while working and makes sure everyone at your table is having fun. Emily is the only one I know that can make your table look like youre having the more fun than the others! And dont get me started on the music. Playing Trap, Dubstep, and even Rap & Hip-hop artist, Bassmnt covers a diverse spectrum of music. They do a great job of researching who the people want to see and find hot/up-and-coming artist to share with San Dieagans. These are just some of the reasons why I choose Bassmnt as my Go-To club in San Diego. If you ever had any doubts about going downtown to a club, rest assured that Bassmnt Nightclub San Diego will offer you the Best Night EVER!!!

Bassmnt is an awesome, small club that features the hottest names in bass/dubstep/trap music. This review is from the perspective of an EDM fan who goes to Bassmnt only for specific shows. It’s the only club in town that regularly brings in top DJs like SVDDEN DEATH, Virtual Riot, Spag Heddy, etc. Tickets for those shows are usually around $20, which is great. Inside it can get a bit packed, but the crowd is always hype and into the music and friendly.

I run an online business from my home in Downtown. For the convenience, I considered the GBS class that is held at the Bassmnt Night Club. When I consulted with this business on when the school was to reopen, I was told it was under construction without an reopen date and all classes are held at the location Clairemont Mesa Blvd.I Googled that location and it reads Kearny Mesa Bartending School. The inaccuracies is obvious a deception on marketing tactics. I also noticed this business bumped the regular cost of the class to run a $200 off sale. We will see if the class will stay at $500 after the sale.I decided to dig deeper on community feedback and notice this business had two Yelp accounts, one at Bassmnt Night Club in Downtown and one on Clairemont Mesa Blvd. The Yelp page for the downtown location stated they were open with hours posted. I posted a one star with a comment that this location was closed. The comment that was left for me read I was a competitor and that both locations are open. Which again, is inaccurate. And while we are are the subject of Yelp. I noticed the over 150 of Yelp reviews that were not recommended and removed for violation of Yelps policy. In fact, there are numerous reviewers that reviewed both of locations that were actually commented on by the owner, thanking them for the review. See Michael T., Orean, Johnny Q and many others. After my Yelp response, I decided to revisit GBS website. There were no schedules for the Downtown location. And while on this site, I read deeper into the remarks. I was astound to see all of the negative comments that were made on the other schools. Websites are a tool for advertising, not defaming other businesses. I did read a few success stories on the staffing services, which caught my eye in the beginning. However, during my review of what I read on the website and on social media, this service is running about a 5% rate this is far from the tons of jobs it claims.Thank you for taking the time read this.

Hi - I am writing to inform about a recent incident that left me shaken and uncomfortable. Please take a minute to read my story.I went to Basement 5/3 around 11 pm to watch Famous Dex. I got escorted out because I danced on stage with a girl. Although this was a fault in my part, what followed lead me to feel unsafe. After being outside, I reached out to a peer of mine from school who also happened to be the security guard (Will) and asked him whether I would be able to go back into the club to be with my friends. Will saw this as an opportunity to take advantage of the situation and told me to follow him upstairs. While he and I were alone, he declared that if I had sex upstairs with him right now, he would bring me back to my friends. Shocked and scared, I ran from him straight to the womens bathroom to try and tell the only woman working what had happened. However before I finished talking, he followed me in and escorted me out. The woman immediately told another security guard what had transpired and eventually I was able to get to the manager of the establishment. After explaining the unnerving encounter, the manager told me he didnt believe me. He continued to humiliate me by raising his voice at me in the middle of the street. He belittled and told me I wasnt making any sense; I was not listening; the guy (Will) would never do that to anyone. Will made me feel violated, disgusted and unsafe. Even worse, I was not listened to nor was I believed when I expressed the danger I felt I was in.He still works there. There have been no changes. I hope that they take steps to ensure that no other person has to experience that I had.

The venue is small and cozy which is nice but if your 18 and up the cover should be cheaper for 21+. To drink this is one of the most expensive bars in San Diego and they really need to send their girls to bar tending school. Ordered a double titos and orange juice and can tell you 100% it had less than a shot of vodka. My buddys Moscow mule tasted like water in a glass with mint in the glass and my 2 jager bombs had half the red bull that even a bad bar provides. 10/10 would strictly stick to beer or straight shots here. The price of drinks is outrageous and the bar tenders are not trained.

And finally we were tricked into buying tickets online when we had 5 people come up to us and give us free tickets. Anyone could bring anything in ie, guns, weapons and obviously drugs( if you don’t like the smell of weed DONT go inside ) it was hard to feel safe. Security guards were more concerned about keeping people out of the booths than anything. Also it’s hard to dance because there was a mosh pit the whole night. It would make me feel better if they at least had a metal detector or checked bags. Also it has a terrible rotten poop like smell by the booths.

Out of all of the bars in San Diego this one is the most dumpy while having the ego of a vegas night club. Overpriced drinks made by bartenders that cant make even the most simple cocktails. They claim to have a large variety in what they bring to their venue as far as music goes but really its all tired and over played out acts that were the hype over two years ago. Save your money and go to somewhere like Omnia or Onyx in SD. Theyre only response is that Im bitter from DJing there, but that just goes to show that they could care less about their attendees and audience. If they were truly professional they would have had a decent response to what I was saying, but as you can see below thats clearly not the case..

This would have been fine if they had stated that it was more of him showing up for 10 minutes, but no, they decided to charge $30-$100 depending on when you got your ticket. Ended up standing for 4.5 hours listening to each DJ play the same songs as the others in their sets. By the time Post actually got on, it was impossible to see him because people were climbing on the fixtures and each others shoulders obscuring the view.In short, the venue really screwed everyone over by advertising it as a concert and charging as much as they did. Got in free on the Guest List to see Mimosa here and was pretty stoked. Being from the south, Im not used to dressing up like its prom to see EDM....its actually solely about the music for us. Apparently wearing heels to see your favorite DJ is what people do here. Anyway, the drinks were way over priced for the quality. I liked the size of the dance floor and the vibe of the place. The quality of the sound and lights were also on point. The staff seemed fairly decent and were quick to stop any violence that broke out. Again, being from Louisiana, we dont fight in EDM clubs so....not sure what that was about. My BIGGEST issue was that THE CLUB STOLE MONEY from us. We spent roughly $134ish on drinks (rediculous) at this bar and put that amount on our debit card. Woke up the next day only to see an additional SEPARATE payment of $162 had been charged to our account that we did NOT authorize or sign/see a receipt for . Tried calling the club to handle it outside of the bank. They gave us the run around saying the manager would call us back. After two weeks passing and no such call or concern about our rather large fraud issue coming from the manager we had to file the charge as a fraudulent claim against the club. Had this issue been resolved in a suitable and concerning matter on their end we might be going back, but not anymore. Im definitely looking into friendlier places to go. These people need to learn what the heck customer service means. Also, maybe not rob people blind.
