My boyfriend and I were in vacation for weekend but had to check out of hotel and kill time waiting on ride so we had our luggage with us when we showed up to buy tickets at Ripleys to kill some time. The guy working Reuben asked if we wanted him to hold our stuff back behind his desk so we could go through all our attractions without dragging it around. He was amazing and not having to drag all that made the experience so much better! Although it was bigger then I thought and we also saw the wax museum which was cool and did the 4D theater which was kind of cute! All together definitely worth the time and money and definitely recommend!
We got the 3 attraction deal. This place was more interesting than I thought it would be. Definitely a surprise. The wax museum was ok and the 4D theater was fun! Id recommend this place as it was just such a surprise how much I enjoyed this place. You could spend a few hours here if you really wanted to!
This was fun for our whole family. We have 3 kids aged between 5-12, and there were no complaints. They especially loved the spinning hallway and the interactive area. I could spend all day reading everything, but they didnt have the attention span for it. It was nice that I didnt have to worry about the kids breaking anything. They can touch whatever they want, anything expensive or rare is protected behind glass or out of reach. Definitely recommend the oddities museum.
I was skeptical when my wife took me on my birthday weekend to do the combo ticket for all the attractions but.... Believe it or not I had a great time. I suggest you buy the combo ticket it cheaper. Its great for kids and entertaining for adults. We will be going back.
Fun little place! A lot of cool items and interesting facts. Multiple floors of enjoyment. Appropriate for all ages. I recommend doing the 3-in-1 pass, which includes the wax museum and 4D theater as you will get it at a discounted price. Or, they have a 6-in-1 that includes the Guinness Book of World Records. Be sure to ask for military discount. Almost 50% off.
Mask required.. we all know it sucks but our vacation has still been great. Being able to see all of the creepy things Ripleys has to offer is still just as awesome! We love coming here, especially the wax museum! Family friendly 100%
The $60 3-way tour was pretty cool. It wS an impromptu choice after the Alamo let us down.
Loved it here the people working here are to attentive and courteous.. We went in a big group and they were so nice and helpful and the place is so entertaining we were there for 4 hrs and did all three attractions...
It was ok, big exhibit.
Pretty good. If you been to a Ripleys before then you know they are all fairly similar, but this one was large. Took us over an hour and we had a nice time.
Entertaining museum. Has a lot of weird stuff, creepy yet some coolLook for bundle specials with other down the street attractionsAlso military discount available
Tons of fun! Way more fun than I thought, and there was a lot to see too! Took us a few hours to get thru the whole thing. The scary part of the wax museum is almost like a haunted house! This place is def worth checking out at least once!
Kids had fun. The movie theater was great. Everyone was friendly. The only thing is they opened later than what is posted online.
Its a great place with lots of interesting things to look at and learn a little about with a great location right across from the Alamo. I feel like its slightly over-priced at the normal pricing. Its great but maybe not quite that great. I know you can bundle the wax museum and the 4d ride with it which might help but my kids had no desire to do the wax museum.
We only stopped in the front But it was really fun to see everything! If we had the time and money, I would have loved to have gone inside!
Omg! My family and I had a BLAST at this place! First time ever visiting! Was super Amazed!
I knok i know i was born in san antonio and im a kid and RIPLEYS IS AWESOME BELIEVE IT OR NOT tomb riding haunted adventure this is my fav place ever for 2020 i also love the waxing who ever made this u are my favirotae
Have been to a few Ripley’s across the country and was very satisfied with my visit here. The exhibits were unique and staff was awesome and helpful.
Very interesting things to see. Educational. But, theres only 1 famous black female wax persona---Beyonce! There should be more...
We had so much fun! We took our time and spent almost 3 hours in the museum. Lots of interesting exhibits and tons of fun interactions.
Checked out the wax museum and Ripleys to take advantage of the discount admission and we loved it some of the wax figures were a little creepy but overall fun time.
If you are in San Antonio and around The Alamo or The River Walk stoo.by and check this place outBrought back memories from the TV show from back in the day. Great place to stop and learn while staying cool in these hit Texas summers. The 4D ride was.pretty cool as wellDefinitely UFO Buster Radio approved
Absolutely amazing museum with a great dose of rich history, engaging STEAM activities, horror haven, and simply unbelievable stuff. I took 6 children by myself and we all had a blast...at least until the scary portion which was an amazing fright.Watch out for the secret traps.
Its okay but not something I would go to see again. Great information and collection for someone interested.
Thus place is insanely underrated!! Yes, its pricey but its worth it! If you have any interest in the odd, weird, crazy, or anything mildly interesting you will love this place. Plenty of interactive things for kids and adults. We spent about 45min inside but we could of easily stayed and played for a couple hours.
Great experience! Kids Loved it! My only thing was the 4D, I dont believe its worth the money to watch it for 15 minutes. Its not what we imagined it would be. But everything else like the wax museum and the rest of Ripleys was GREAT!
This was fun, but I would have rather spent my money in on food or another attraction with there being so much to do in San Antonio. The characters they sculpted did not look anything like the famous people in real life. The walk through was not that interactive. The ONLY saving grace for me was the basement where they had a haunted walk through. The music was so creepy and the theatrics were so well done down there, my friend and I ran back upstairs and didnt want to finish it. I like getting scared!
The exhibition was lackluster. I enjoyed it very little and I felt that I did not get my moneys worth. If I am in San Antonio again soon in the area, I will not buy tickets for this again.Below are some pictures I took but there is nothing exciting to write home about.
I loved this place as a kid, and love it still! There is always something new to do and learn.
I recommend going to any Ripleys Believe It or Not museum or attraction in whatever city the Ripley company has anchored in. Its just an all around cool place lots to do lots to see and very good for the kids. Its interactive its interesting and it will eat up about two to three hours of your time if you read every plaque and marvel at with Ripley has brought to your attention.
Lots of fun for the whole family. Fun atmosphere super friendly staff. Bundle up packages the way to go.
A good place to visit for family and friends. Do take one of the combo tickets online which is very cost effective. Dont miss the wax museum and horror rooms. Located on the River Walk. Parking available at 10-15 minutes walk distance-$5-$15
Had a blast! Some of the figures didnt look the the actual person but overall it was a great experience.
Very cool. kids enjoyed all the marvel characters, a lot of interesting things. Pretty pricey, but well worth the experience. Will definitely be coming back
Good place to visit in downtown with your family and friends to see some stuff to believe or not and has some cool things will recommend!
Where Education Meets Fun
Ive been coming here for about 16 years in a row...possibly longer. And let me tell you. It gets better an better every year
This is right across the street from the alamo and the river walk is right behind it. 3 levels of fun stuff to see. Lots of things to see for all ages it seams. I enjoined walking around . Some slightly scary things for the 4 year old. Has a fun turning tunnel like a fun house
Lots of fun. MASK REQUIRED WHILE INSIDE EXHIBIT!
Our family (kids 14 and 10) loves Ripleys! Its chalk full of all kinds of weird, crazy, amazing, fascinating, mind blowing stuff! I wish, however, that there were more hand sanitizing stations. I only saw one throughout the whole thing and there are many things to touch along the way. If I go again, I hope Ill remember to pack along some hand sanitizer in my purse.
Always fun never gets old!!! Better deal when you purchase a package deal you get 3 places to explore... great views while you walk from one attraction to the other FAMILY FRIENDLY, and workers are great
The whole family had fun! We enjoyed the different sculptures and games. We laughed and was amazed! You have to check out the wax museum. The haunted house is thrilled! It is pricey but we were luck to get discounted tickets because of family member graduated from Lackland AFB.
Pretty cool place to checkout! Enjoyed it with the family!
I visited this place when I was too young to remember but now that I am older and revisited with my family I must say it was pretty cool. We found a great deal online compared to just showing up. Saved about 50% overall that alone was great. The staff was really nice and attentive to the guest most of the activities we did were inside so it saved us from the heat. It is located maybe a block away from the river walk and it sits across from the Alamo which is convenient. Tons of things to see and do while in there, favorite part was the one way mirror that every one tried to exercise there tongue muscle super hilarious and interesting. The suvonier shop has a bunch of different stuff from shirts to gadgets to mugs and drinks. Definitely a great place to stop by and visit.
Always fun here.. Aint the 1st or last TBH..
I would highly suggest Ripleys to anyone, it is highly informational, they have lit models, and its just a generally great place to go if you want to have fun.
Fun, family place. If you are in San Antonio then you must go.
Great family fun. So many different things to see and explore. Groupon had a great deal would definitely check there before buying the tickets they can get pretty expensive.
If you take you time...interesting history to see and learn. Ripley was a unique character.
Very fun place to take the family too
This place was really fun. It felt like walking through the Ripleys book or magazine!
Lots of fun. Loved the 4D theater.
So exciting loved all the cool exhibits and interactive displays! From eating bugs to climbing through tunnels it was fun for the whole family!!
Took my husband for his first time for a short honeymoon getaway and we had a blast!! We spent hours down there and got some amazing photos, definitely a must for anyone when you spend time at the river walk
Not worth the time and money. All I saw is things I already knew nothing weird or odd about anything. I prefer to see the t.v. show the show had a lots of weird and fun stuff to look at.
This place was amazing! We only bad about 55 bucks each to see all 6 attractions. Its great on a weekday cause you really get the whole place to yourself. The only sad or down side is some of the games are broken from people being to rough with them. Otherwise a fulfilled exciting experiance for all ages.
It is a good place. You enjoy a lot of it is your first time. Hope the 4D movie is better, something more current.
If you like fascinating, interesting, many unbelievable artifacts, stories, oddities, peculiar finds. This is the place to go. I found myself wanting to see and read every display. Huge selection that I will go back to visit multiple times. Much more than I expected!
The guy at the counter asked where we were from. When I said Houston, he proceeded to bash my city and made weird faces like he was disgusted. I didnt even want to be there after that. We didnt stay long. I would like a refund.
Decent museum but we were tired when we went. Would be better first thing in the morning.
Super fun! The 3 way combo is the way to go! Had fun at the 4D show, wax museum and Ripleys of course, should definitely go when in San Antonio!
Some great and some not so great things to see. Still trust that it is lil hyped
I was not expecting much so Ill give it 4 stars as it pleasantly surprised me. We were in San Antonio at the Alamo and had the kids all wanting to do something that was more fun and less history. So my wife and I succumbed to the requests and decided Ripleys 3 way ticket was the way to appease the requests. Ill review each of the 3 separately so as to alleviate any confusion. The guiness records was not boring. It had history and interesting facts for us old people and lots of interactive games and challenges for the kids. The only ones even slightly bored was the smallest ones . Everyone 5 and above had something to do.
Katherine was so sweet and helpful! Thank you Ripleys.
Not really worth the price of admission, but still had some fun and interesting displays. I was hoping to see many authentic artifacts, but it was mostly reproductions of scenes and photos of the real thing. Kind of a cross between a science and a childrens museum, with some oddities thrown in, but you can see and experience much more at a good museum. Good to see once, but would not go back.
Was awesome! Spent like 4 hours in there and still didnt want it to be over! Surprising and amazing new things to the very end! Good job Rileys... Believe it or not!
This place is awesome if you haven’t been it is a must. The kids had a blast and we were able to spend a couple of hours here. It is a self walk through so you can go as fast or as slow as you would like.
Was very safe have to wear mask.
Im really not sure how this oddity museum has such a high rating. Some of the displays are the very same ones from 10 or 11 years ago when the museum opened. Theyve never moved and still as unintetesting as ever.I really wanted to enjoy and see this museum for the first time as freshly as I did ten years ago. But no.. they mystery is gone. You go up three stories just to take an elevator down and walk into a gift shop.I saw more litter than anything and torn or broken displays.I paid about $55 for my daughter and I as part of a 3 way combo between Ripleys BION, the 4D theater and the Wax Museum. And we would definitely not do it again
We had fun in the wax museum. The 4d theater was awesome!!
My first visit and I must say it will not be my last! Guy at the front desk was super nice and funny. This place is filled with odd things. My favorite this was the warp tunnel (I think they call it that) it made me feel like I had to hang onto the rails. Super fun my wife and I did it several times.
I enjoyed every moment of it. First time being here and it was really interesting to see some of the diversity the exhibit has to offer. Great place to go for some fun and learn some amusing facts.
This place was awesome!! Lots of great things to see.
Covid sucked it up but still enjoyable
Amazing. Tickets are $21. Definitely a mist see if visiting San Antonio.
This place is awesome! Lots of fun stuff to look at. Price is not bad at all.
Great place. They lead you to believe that the combo is for all 6 parts, but it is really a 3 way combo, which is more than enough. The museum was WAAAAY bigger than I expected. It was so cool, it kept the attention of my 14 and 10 year olds. Was around $60 for 3 of us to do the museum, the 4D movie and the wax museum
Very interesting and a ton of fun for a nice little side trip. They did a great job on detail and very friendly staff. The place did not have a smell and it was nice and cool. Lot to see and lots to read.
It had some cool attractions such as the Berlin wall and the car that took Oswald to the depository. But there were Many attractions that required you to touch them, and I saw no staff through the exhibits and my guess is that nothing is ever really sanitized. Ran to the bathroom to wash my hands after getting through. 3 1/2 stars, but for sanitary reasons 2 stars.
My family enjoys visiting Ripleys when we are in San Antonio. It is located right across the street from the Alamo. It is something fun for kids and adults too. You walk around different rooms with all kinds of interesting fun facts. There are 3 different levels to explore. You can either take the stairs or the elevator. There are plenty of hands on activities and great photo opportunities. A couple of our favorite things are the lighted up walk through tunnel and the giant screen you can move and dance to that makes all kinds of shapes and colors. Every time we have gone the staff is friendly and helpful. It is a great way to spend a couple hours. You can bundle your tickets with Louis Tussauds Waxworks and the 4D moving theater.
As far as tourist traps go, its alright. The air conditioner is fantastic! Got the combo ticket for all the attractions so it came out cheaper, but it was still $60+. Staff is friendly and really trying, even though you can tell theyre bored to death! Overall you can do a whole lot worse, so come on in and enjoy the mundane to awesome stuff they have. Its better than shopping all day!
This is so much fun. My husband and daughter really enjoyed it. What a cool place to visit on vacation. And its just across from the Alamo.
We loved it my daughter learned alot of things she was in aww and so was my husband will be taking the nieces and nephews when they come to visit
Nifty place with some really amazing stuff. It takes around A hour to go through.
Dirty, bathrooms were not properly working, many attractions are run down.
The characters rarely resemble the person i was disappointed. Time to update
So much fun, so cool! I didnt know what to expect going in but Im so glad I did. I would recommend getting a combo deal on your tickets so you can do all of the attractions because its today worth it. Great for kids
So many awesome things to see
So much fun and knowledge
Man this was alot of fun. Been here multiple times as a kid and now as an adult it brought back all the memories. Theres alot of other additions and levels to see all the mysterious and strange. Combined with the wax museum this was a fun place Ill always remember.
Way too many things crammed in that place. Fun for a quick trip but also a sensory overload!
A little small but very interesting.
Had a blast. It was very fun.
EVER MOST DEFINITELY WILL GO AGAIN!
I cant bealive i visited there lol
We expected a fun experience, but this blew us away. Hours of weird fun for adults and kids!
