The DoSeum is AWESOME!! Fun for kids of all ages (yes, even 1 years old!). We have gone 3 times this past month! Something I didn’t know the first time I went; bring an extra change of clothes for your kids because my son played in the creek & with the boats outside and got drenched.

This is still a good place to take kids even with all of the restrictions in place. Please, please, please, be sure to reserve your spot before you arrive. Currently when you set your appointment you will have 2 hours to enjoy the facility. if your child is under the age of 5, this is probably plenty of time. For children older than that you may have an issue and not see the entire facility. The splash pad outside is closed down. The snack bar is open with a very limited menu. If any of the rooms have multiple items such as the HEB interactive area, items may be removed and not available for use. Normally there are fake vegetables in the H-E-B interactive area. These have been removed because it would be two time-consuming for the staff to wipe them down in between visits. there is still plenty for children to do especially in the sound interactive room. The spy interactive is still available for older children, and there is also the physics area that is upstairs that is great for older kids. I still recommend supporting the museum and hope that this review helps set better expectations.

We just spent 3 hours here and it barely felt like 1!!!!! My boys have an absolute blast here!!! The staff is incredibly friendly and I love how much they encourage parents to take part in the activities with the kids!!!! I never feel like we have to wait around for the different activities, and the best part is they have workers to just wipe down surfaces!!! They walk around the entire museum wiping down surfaces stopping the spreading of germs!!!! Next time were in San Antonio we will definitely be back!!!!!!!

This is a very well place put together for ages 2-12. After a bit the preteen - young teens will get bored. I think its a little pricey unless you stay for 3 or more hours. Great learning activities. I would have liked for employees at the stations explaining the stations, how they work and the history behind it.

We spent an hour there today, but I think 2 hours is a minimum. I wanted it to be a surprise, but ultimately had to tell them where we were headed to get them to work together toward getting into the car! Each trip is a joy, but next time I wont try to keep it a surprise and just focus on getting there at the beginning of the ticket window rather than half way through.

We love the Doseum. We go often. The last trip I made with my littles, we decided to go into the gift shop (which we never do) and I was followed around like a criminal. What really disappointed me is the fact that they didn’t care. I called and left a message for the the supervisor of the store, he called back just to say he wouldn’t have done anything like that. But the Doseum, hasnt bothered to call, message etc. I believe they need more sensitivity training. I normally don’t pay attention to much expect my kids when we’re out and about, but this was so in-my-face, it was hard to ignore. I’m really sad, upset and disappointed. I have a membership and don’t know what to do with it now.

The fact that my 2 children are 3 years apart, 4 and 7, and still be able to play together in the different rooms is amazing. There truly is something there for every age level. My kids truly engage themselves in the rooms and seeing there imaginations blossom while they play together is simply short of a miracle. We’ve had passes for 3 years now and it’s time to renew. I asked them if they wanted to try another venue for season passes and they immediately shouted NO. They love it here.!!!This is a place money well spent. If they had a monthly payment plan that would be amazing.

Just visited with our 3 grandchildren and their Mom (ages 67,68,35,9,7,4) on Oct 8. We are not members. The price $96, was outrageous for 3 hours then you couldnt return after the 30 min closing without paying $96 again! Many exhibits closed because of COVID restrictions....must wear a mask OUTSIDE or youll be asked to leave. You would think there would be some sort of price break when youre only allowed 3 hours to visit, but charged for an ENTIRE DAY and can only return for another 3hrs by paying FULL PRICE AGAIN!!!

(07-06-18) We love this place. Parking is free. Get there early to have the place to your self. We had a great time. There is plenty to do for everyone young and old. Past the cashiers is the restrooms and kids exhibits. There is a giant kaleidoscope! Across the room is an elevator if you cant take the stairs to the second floor. Right next to the stairs is a small snack area to sit, eat and enjoy some drinks. Outside all can enjoy the tree house. A place to play with water. Take a small towel just in case. A play ground is available to wear down your kids. Lol. There is a fish pond with a couple of turtles. That place has a very comfortable feeling. You can sit down and zone out for a bit. Last is a small area to play with dirt. Buckets are available to fill the manual operated dirt equipment. We had a blast. Thank you Doseum.

We had a great time today at this childrens museum! There is so much to do (seriously SO MUCH) and it was great for my 4 and 7 year old. I think one of our favorite exhibits was the spy exhibit. There was so many missions and games in there that we could easily have spent all day in just that exhibit alone, and so FUN!! My 7 year old could do that one mostly by himself and then I helped our 4 year old do her missions. We were able to get in for free with our reciprocal ATSC membership since our home museum is the Perot in Dallas and we have a membership.

Some fun stuff here. Probably better for younger kids (3-10?) Wish there had been more explanations, or a staff member you could ask about some of the stations. On the periscope station, for example, the lable for the viewer was on the backside, facing the wall, where you cant see it. Two adults and two kids tried to figure out what to do, had minor success, but better directions or a person to answer questions wouldve been great. A lot of stations like that. We had an 11-year old into science, and she wanted more why does that happen? explanations. Highlights included the robot cars, parts of the sound room, parts of the outside water stations, the air tubes. Some stations werent functioning well. $15 a head seemed a little high for the experience. A lot of potential here. And, again, probably more enjoyable for younger kids.

The establishment is amazing. I dare to say that the experience for our children was almost magical. Although our visit was wonderful, our day ended with our vehicle being stolen from the premises. We do not believe that the incident is at all the fault of the owners of this establishment, however we believe that such an attraction should have some modicum of security for its visitors. The theft of our vehicle, and all of our possessions, occurred between 1 and 3 p.m. along with two other vehicles being stolen as well. We were visiting from out of town and were basically stranded until the next day.To reiterate, this place is wonderful and exciting for children. As a parent, the happiness this establishment brings our children is priceless. But make no mistake, due to this horrible conclusion, I will never return to this place of business and our kids wont be experiencing a visit to the DoSeum for the foreseeable future.

We loved this museum! We stayed in San Antonio for 6 nights. On the way to San Antonio we stopped at the Houston children’s museum. We were highly disappointed. It was expensive and my kids didn’t enjoy it very much at all. This children’s museum was way better than Houston. I have three children ages 7, 4, & 12 months. We loved the small area for the smaller kids. My daughter (4) loved the grocery store! My 12 month old really enjoyed me pushing him around in the little tyke cars!! They even let my 7 year old in there to play as long as he played gentle and watched out for little ones. The outside play area was really nice to. I only have a few complaints. One was that there was no museum employee outside. There was a field trip group of kids from some Heights school that were absolutely ridiculous. One even claimed up a museum wall that wasn’t part of the play area. I would highly recommend this museum. We haven’t taken our kids to many museums in different states I would say besides ours where we live this is their favorite!!!!

Wanted a fun experience for my 10 and 13 year old grandchildren and the DoSeum far exceeded our expectations in all regards. The activities were creatively organized into inviting rooms full of challenging but well defined tasks for all ages. Just when you thought you had seen everything on the two floors inside, then it was time to explore all the outside activites. The staff are amazing: ready to help and encourage, only if needed, without hovering. We had a quick lunch in the little cafe and the food was freshly prepared, good tasting, and reasonably priced. Be sure to allow plenty of time: we were there over 4 hours with only a brief break for lunch, and the kids were still finding more to do and reluctant to leave! It was truly the highlight of our kids trip to San Antonio! One note, apparently, according to staff, GPS will take you to the staff parking lot and not the main entrance which is around the block, and the actual parking is a little hidden but large enough to accommodate many vehicles.

Our 1.5 year old had fun too but most things here are geared toward the elementary aged children. The staff and volunteers were very friendly and helpful. The downside is the place is not cheap. Plan to be here all day to get your monies worth. Everyone has to have a ticket unless the babies are under a year old. Ticket prices were the same for adult and children of all ages, so again for a 1.5 year old it seemed rather crazy to pay full price when she couldn’t reach much.
