The whole staff were such a delight. They treated my boyfriend and I like any other couple which can still be hard to come by. The attention to detail helping us find the best accessories to match our outfits was amazing.Billy the photographer was so kind and full of great energy!! I cant say enough how much this session was worth every penny. Great sets great dressing and all very covid safe and clean!!!

Had a fun COVID safe session at this wonderful culture and photography stop in Salems City of October. We took the opportunity early in the month to view SSU and the campus and I thought a nice take away for the day would be a fun photoshoot. It was fun, safe, affordable and very, very well done. The organization to handle the protocols for COVID were 100% I felt safe during every step of the way. Costumes are gorgeous and many to choose from, beautiful hats as well. The artistry of the settings to select your backdrop and set your mood are 100% art worthy. Hope and Billy make a great team along with their staff who worked hard to make it fun and memorable. A must stop on your visit to Salem anytime of the year.

Went w/ 3 of my friends and we had such a good time! Our stylist with the red hair was fabulous and the costumes, props and backdrops were great. Really fun idea if youre visiting. We will never tire of looking at these pictures!

Been wanting to do this for awhile on the recommendation of a friend and it didnt disappoint! With COVID, obviously there are concerns, but they had everything under control. It was only the two of us and the employees in there for our time slot, everyone wore a mask including us of course. We were instructed to leave it on until it was time to take the photos. They had plenty of hand sanitizer which we were required to use. I noticed that some reviews said the experience was rushed. I didnt feel that way. It was more like they dont dawdle, which is good in these times. If we didnt like something or had questions, they were always helpful, its not like they pushed us along. I actually asked the photographer if I could please take a couple additional shots after he said we were done, and he happily obliged. He was very nice as was every employee we spoke to. Two women helped us pick out our clothes... one thing I will suggest is think ahead of time what colors and styles you may want to wear, because they have so many choices its a little overwhelming! All the costumes seemed very clean and you can tell they care about quality - they werent the cheap Halloween costume quality that is found in stores this time of year and photographed really nicely. Our pictures are just SO fun and well shot, the photographer had great ideas and was very friendly. Another tip - because you have to wear a mask right up until your photos are taken, I couldnt check my makeup in the mirrors they have set up in the dressing area. I was kinda worried about that since the mask usually wipes some off. I recommend having a little compact with you -- it ended up fine but just something to think about! Im happy this is an option in Salem.

Excellent experience! The folks at Witch Pix are doing a great job with Covid protection. I was able to enjoy myself, feel safe, and become glamorous!

Scheduled our 2 person appt last night, came in and was rushed from start to finish, no personality or social skills or patience from any/all the staff. Paid extra for 1 extra photo, not the experience we were looking for as someone visiting for the 1st time from Cali. Highly disappointed.

Majickal Experience Everytime. The Staff is Super Awesome️

The place has a lot of different costumes to choose from and fun props. Unfortunately, I felt rushed to pick a costume and couldnt try on a whole bunch. They maybe let you know try 2-3. Not all of our photos were flattering, but we got some good ones. They do some photo editing, but its a quick turn around so they arent doing too much. I posted both flattering and unflattering photos to show a good idea of what results youll get

They first told us when we asked how much they said $50.00 and when it was time to pay they said the $50.00 was the seating fee and we still have to pay for the pictures so over all it was $126.00 for a link which at first they said a disk with the pictures on but no we got a link sent to the email and we get a code to get into to get the pictures.. the pictures came out great and the costumes were great but for what we paid we should of gotten a disk or all of our pictures printed out.

I own an old time photo studio so its kind of a given that any amusement photography is right up my alley. We made an appointment easily online, showed up and everything else was taken care of for us. They have gorgeous costumes with beautiful colors and fabrics. It was hard to pick! But the photographer was very good at helping us narrow down our options. Most amusement photography studios only let you choose one backdrop. Here you dont have to pick. The photographer will walk you through poses against all three backdrops. The hardest part was probably narrowing down our images on the computer afterwards so we could print two 5x7s. There were over 100 images to choose from! The inside is clean and the staff was friendly and confident. I will recommend this to anyone visiting Salem!

I was so excited about this place and it ended up a bit disappointing. The young guy who helped me was extremely pushy and gave me TWO capes to choose from. He told me they didn’t have time for me to look at any other costumes, he was going to have to limit me to these two options. What the hell? And when I tried to help my husband choose an outfit the guy was SUPER forceful trying to push me along. I told him we were doing this for my birthday and my husband had zero opinion on his outfit, but this guy literally got in between us and said, happy birthday but you need to move along. We had only been in the door for about 2 minutes at this point, and there was no line or people waiting behind us!The photographer was very nice and everyone else was nice, we did end up with an okay picture but I felt like I had almost zero input into the process. They pretty much tell you (not suggest) what position to get in, what face to make, etc. That was okay, but I wish it had been more of an option layout where you can choose how you want to spend your time. And the first guy really kind of soured me on the whole deal. Overall, wouldn’t suggest. For $50 you can at least give me 5 minutes to pick out a costume I like—that’s half the fun!

Loved this place!! Was visiting my sister in Somerville and decided to visit Salem. We found this place on accident but had a wonderful experience.

What a great experience. I traveled to Salem with my family and I’m so glad we ventured into witch city mall and found Witch Pix. My photographer was very helpful in suggesting which costume would work best for my sisters and I. Just trust the expert. They made the experience fun and enjoyable. I wish I owned my witch costume. It was stunning and wicked. For the price you pay, they give you quite enough shots to pick from. It was fast and I’m glad I liked at least 2 of my pictures. Its a definite thing to do when visiting Salem.

I’ve been to Witch Pix a few times during both the witching season and ugly sweater/awkward family photo season. Both are fun, and rewarding experiences. You can tell that the photographers and the owner care about your experience there and try to make it as personal as possible! Recommended for all ages!!

Hope and the staff were wonderful. We had an appointment to have pictures and instead we ended up in the ER. We notified Witch Pix of our situation. Hope rescheduled us and allowed us to have at least some memories of Salem. Thank you Witch Pix.

Felt a bit rushed, workers were nice, but it seemed very much a business -turn the customer through to clear the set and get to the next. Photos are quick, so if you have a busy day scheduled, you can get everything done in under half an hour.

Staff were great. Helped us pic out outfits and get into character. Our photos turned out great! Highly recommended to make some great memories of your Salem trip!

We had a lot of fun dressing up as witches! Nice costumes. Was a bit pricey for the common folk. Photos would have come out more desirable lighted if client tipped hats back from eyes and photographer shot slightly more from top. All & all, it was a fun experience and loved the costumes! I would do it again!

Fun Place, friendly staff, great costumes and fantastic pictures! Highly recommend if visiting the witch city or a local looking for a unique picture. Witch Pix even does ugly Christmas sweater Christmas pictures... would definitely go back!!

Fun photo studio in witch city Salem, where you can dress up in a wide variety of costumes for professional photography. Located in the Museum Place Mall, off of Essex Street, a pedestrian street which is the main tourist drag through downtown Salem. Parking is challenging in Salem, especially in October, but this is a short walk from the MBTA Salem commuter rail station.

A big tourist trap. That is, in essence, what this place is. However, for being a tourist trap it was a pretty fun experience to be able to dress up and pose in different scenes with various backgrounds. People there were very nice and very accommodative as well as they were definitely into the scenes that they were portraying. The pictures are very expensive, however, the memories associated with those pictures are really fun and at least worth it once in awhile.

My mom, sister and I had a blast! It was so much fun, and the photographer was funny, and took his time to get the best pose for the perfect picture!

The owner and photographer were both professional and helpful. They made the experience very comfortable and fun. The photos I chose are some of my favorite souvenirs from the trip! There were multiple scenes, props, and poses. After the session, they gave me time to browse the photos on my own with no pressure at all. I would highly recommend this experience!

I wasnt there very recently, but my hubby has had professional pics done there in the past as an independent wrestling manager. They were very professional and affordable. He paid to get the proofs to make copies and do what he wanted. They were very nice.

Witchy souvenir fun!

Fantastic staff, fabulous costumes and so much fun, stopped feeling cheesy almost immediately. Were using it on the christmas cards this year.

My daughter and i went on a girls weekend and thought this sounded like a fun place to stop. It turned out to be awesome! The owner was so sweet and helpful. The photographer was great and made us both laugh so much. It was truly a great experience we hope to do again with the whole family!

That was THE MOST FUN thing we did in Salem!!! The manager was friendly and professional, and Billy the photographer is super talented and made the whole experience so fun that it was hard not to smile when I was trying to look wicked! Im the least photogenic person EVER so I wasnt expecting much, but now I finally have these amazing pix to share with friends and family and getting rave reviews! So fun...definitely going back to do a group session next time!

Loved the idea of dressing up and doing witch poses.. My daughter and I had fun doing this. The pictures did not turn out good though. We would have liked to have bought a few, with the different props but way to expensive, so just bought the 1. We have done a lot of these and this one by far, most expensive for packages or singles..

I had fun with my friend dressing up and taking pictures and I really liked the photo we chose to purchase. However, the photographer seemed annoyed during our shoot and was rude and impatient and made us feel a little awkward. Not sure if she was having a bad day, it happens to everyone, but we didnt have a very pleasant experience with her.

So much fun! Went for the ugly sweater photos and it was great! The photographer was a fun and had a good time. They have plenty of sweaters so no need to go out & buy one

My 81 year old mother wanted something different for a Christmas card. We made an appointment for her at witchpix and they were amazing. Helped her find the perfect costume and patiently helped her with poses and choosing pictures. Everyone raved about her witchy Christmas card. Can’t thank you enough.

I would not recommend this experience. Our photographer seemed annoyed with us right away before we even finished getting our costumes on. He was incredibly rude to us and made fun of us for what we were wearing and the bags we were carrying (and called my sister bossy!) while we were just trying to have fun. At first it seemed that he mightve been having a bad day, but then the woman who took our payments was just as weirdly passive aggressive as the photographer. The shoot itself was super rushed and, again, the photographer was rude and annoyed. The only highlight was that we were able to pick a good picture out of the ones he took. Otherwise, the experience is nowhere near as pleasant as many other things in Salem and definitely not as worth your time or money.

Wife really wanted pictures so we stopped, they took A LOT of pictures but the poses were not that good and many of the photos were blurry. We had a few really good ones, but it really was pretty expensive for the CD and pics and took over an hour for the session. My wife wished she could have controlled the poses herself. It wasnt bad, but it wasnt great.
