Amazing place!Building after building, lots of big outdoor exhibits, various sizes of model trains, from tiny to ride on live steam, full size electric trolley, logging, trucks, tractors, old hit or miss gas engines running, steam tractors and a steam sawmill, etc etc etc.Come for the summer Great Oregon Steam Up last weekend of July and first weekend of August and see lots of steam powered engines and tractors driving around, tractor pulls from garden tractors to caterpillar tractors to steam traction engines, and acres of display and running hit or miss and other engines, restored and hand built. Logging displays and demonstrations, and many other things in didnt even get to!Theres a giant swap meet in the back, food, fun, did I mention lots of old steam equipment running? LolCamping sites available. Truck stop across the street. Or call and ask if they have room for a semi.
The people here are so nice, always ready to share their passion wirh people who are interested. They had a drive through event this weekend instead if the regular Steam Up due to COVID and we enjoyed it. The Willow Creek Railroad was open to our surprise. They were giving rides with masks on, sanitizing trains between rides, etc. They will have another drive through event August 22-23 I believe.
Please take your children & family this will open eyes to look back and see what a Grandpa or great Grandpa did to raise crops or build machinery whichever the case please go and take the time to visit. There is so much to see and touch and the stories that the old timers tell of is worth it in itself. Ive been going for a long time and it never ceases to amaze. Like I said its a blast your children will love it!
If you love vintage farm equipment, antique cars, fully operational old engines, a flour mill, & a blacksmith shop, and small gauge trains --. Check out their website to learn more.Powerlands exhibits are spread out over several acres that are temporarily accessible only by a carefully laid out car route In response to COVID-19 concerns & safety precautions,Slowly drive the loop, enjoy all the equipment, & even play the auto treasure hunt game.Even better, your admission allows you to drive the route as many times as you want to during your visit.Enjoy that & come back when visitors can safely walk the Powerland grounds.
Really neat place to visit, several museums with 100 year old mechanical artifacts and cars etc.. will totally go again
Neat place with very friendly volunteers and cool old equipment.
We did a tour and the staff did an amazing job of explaining any questions we had. They have 14 different museums, everything from large trucks, classic cars, train and Trolley museum. Its definitely worth seeing. I know young boys would absolutely love it. Its family friendly and can also picnic on the grounds.
Fabulous place to visit if you love history and antiques. Great collection of antique tractors, trucks, cars, motorcycles. Loved riding the old trolley and viewing the old-time sawmill. My husband and I spent about 6 hrs here just looking around and enjoying the past.
I have been coming here for years and I love the changes and the improvements that they have done it really brings the old into the new thank you for everyone who has participated
Went to the steam/ equipment show, there was so much to look at and enjoy about the machines our forefathers used to farm, log, etc. Took a full day to see it all! Well done!!
This place is absolutely perfect in every single detail. There is something for everyone, any age and you will have a wonderful time. Its a wonderful trip back through time with many representations of all eras. Outstanding and very time oriented theme buildings, over 14 museums onsite with so much more to offer. I love this place and recommend to all ages.
I always come here for the fourth of July civil war Reenactment (as a reenactor) and the staff is always very friendly. The grounds always seem clean even though that weekend is very busy. Everyone is very helpful and knowledgeable. Theres some great museums where you can learn about different vehicles, and even a street car and mini train to ride on. Highly recommend if you are interested in cars, tractors, trains, etc.
The last weekend of July and the first one of August is the Steam Up. Lots of antique machinery running. Lots of things to see and do. Its a wonderful event to take the kids to. There are a number of museums at Powerland. Its an interesting place even when its not Steam Up.
This was a vintage trailer rally event. There was also a Civil War reenactment and the museums were open on the weekend. We always have fun at Powerland. Steam up is the best time to go. Last weekend in July, first weekend in August.
Beautiful antique tractors, nice tractors parade.
Had a boy scout camp here. Pretty neat antiques.
My 3rd time here over 20 some years and it gets better every time. Fun and educational. Lots to do and see. Excellent working exhibits. Incredible displays. Spend 3 hours and bring good walking shoes.
Lots of great things to see. Cars/ Farm equipment/ Swap meet with thousands of items. Mini train rides/ good food. A must see event
So much fun for the big and little kids! Take a step back in time when things were simpler and people were nicer and thats antique powerland. Steam engines, hit and miss engines, swap meet, free scale train rides, tractors, mowers, cats, trucks... Every machine plus some youve never seen before.
Such a neat place filled with history. Make sure you come early or you wont be able to see everything in one day
It was great. In 2 weeks its Annual Steam up. Good friends and people

Cool place love to go there new stuff to see
Nice museum
Best kept secret off I 5 must see place ever
We had one on the ranch like this in 1948. Even my mechanically challenged mother could start itUntil us boys got old enough to start it for her.
Amazing! It is so much fun for everyone in the whole family. There mission preserve and operate old farm machinery is very unique and special. I highly recommend coming to the Steam Up, which takes place in the last weekend in July and first weekend in August. Or you can come most weekends the rest of the year.
This is a must stop location. Plan to spend the better part of your day here. Coming here is like a time machine that takes you back 50, 75, or 100 years. You get to see everything just as it was from streetcars to agriculture, fire apparatus, trucks-you name it and its here. Probably several models of it. Everything is meticulously restored or preserved in working order. The static displays: sawmill, blacksmith, power plant, etc. are amazing. This place really comes to life every summer for their annual Steam-Up. People from all-over bring their restored equipment for live display. I plan my summer around this event. It takes place the last weekend in July and the first weekend in August. Im there all 4 days and never feel like Ive seen it all.
A fun place to go
Awesome to see all old trucks and tractors. Absolutely worth going to see.
This is an experience you dont want to miss. Seriously. With 14 museums, there is something for everyone. During SteamUp, it turns into a theme park that will take days to get through. I found myself mesmerized by a machine over 100 years old that stripped the corn off the cob. From the steam-powered washing machines to the steam-powered tractors youll find something that will capture your imagination with the ingenuity that would have been required to create such devices in the time before computers or even calculators.Visit Powerland Heritage Park, especially during Steam Up. You wont be disappointed.
So many museums to go through. Great place to bring the family. For young and old alike.
Great family place with several different displays. Stream tractors, trolley ride and entertainment.
Amazing tractor show! Great outdoor market too
Awesome place to go. Reminded me of going back in time 100 years ago. Reminded me of Chitty chitty bang bang!
Very interesting place well wort visiting. STEAMO UP IS GREAT
If youre in to old mechanical things this is the place to go. It is a wonderful Museum of mechanical things
We toured the site and enjoyed seeing the steam engines used to drive leather belts on up to huge tractors and threshing machines. Several buildings house old farm equipment, massive working marine steam engines and early road construction machines. Great food choices and a flea market made for a fully satisfying day.
Amazing event every year it gets better and more to see. It is great for all ages! It takes all day to see everything and we wont miss this event us and our family and friends.
Such a hidden gem! 15 fantastic museums on the campus
Awesome place to visit check out their event calendar lots going on this summer !!
Really cool place that has lots of transportation and agricultural history. Has a Fire Service history museum too. Really great considering its nearly all volunteer and donation based.
There is a tremendous amount of our farm history showcased here with machinery of all kinds dating back to the 1800s. The steam up held in Late July and early August is not to be missed. The equipment is up and running and it is a blast from the past!
Love this place. My daddy took me and my mom every year when I was a child. My daddy passed away in 2015 but momma and I still go for his memory. Miss you Daddy. Meet you again in Heaven.
I highly recommend this Museum. Even though we visited in what I would consider the off-season the manager / greeter was extremely helpful. He called ahead to make sure that several exhibits were open or available and checked on us throughout our tour we virtually had the place to ourselves and thoroughly enjoyed it. We plan on going back next year for at least one of their activities. Thank you!
Powerlands is an amazing collection of active museums! With everything from steam tractors, old engines and lots of other equipment!
Great shops and food available here.
We had a great time at our Datsun event here we also checked out the truck and car museum as well as the teactors we look forward to going here again
A really wonderful experience. With the expansion and addition of new museums, there is lots to see here. Fun for the whole family. Interesting machines and gear-head stuff to look at. History comes alive. It is a great learning experience for young and old.

If you love operating history of the early industrial revolution, this it.
Fun place for the whole family lots of things to do
This was really fun for the kids and is very family friendly. There is alot of free activities, for example rope weiving, making ice cream (with toppings), bags of goodies, and nice people. We always appreciate free stuff. The day we went was free for homeschoolers so everything was free, including riding on a neat tractor. Will definatley be going back.
I go to this place on the last friday and Saturday of August for the Brooks truck show every year. As a truck enthusiast and driver I enjoy looking at the trucks and the museum they have there. My kids really enjoy the scale train that powerland has there that they can ride on its just a fun place to go.
Great time. Will try and be back next year, from rollag.
Just an incredible collection of yesterdays power!
So cool something for anyone. Museums and 2 weekends a year Steam up happens, do not miss one weekend actually come to both. The last weekend honors military.
Antique Powerland is a fun place to visit. Many enthusiasts willing to discuss their passions or just chat. Clean facilities.
This is a must go place. We went for the Civil War reenactment and found so much more to this place.Check out what special things are going on and expect to spend the day.We didnt have all day so will be going back.Several museums on a variety of subjects, loved the Semi Trucks. They have a Trolley car also that one can ride, its an out and back trip and was so much fun.GO, GO, GO, so worth the trip.
One of the best places the U.S. has to offer on the history of anything with an engine. Multiple beautiful museums modeled after by gone eras. A must see if youre in the area!
This is a special place, its run by wonderful and dedicated people. You can see old machinery at work and ride a model railroad! They have free admission days in May, so mark you calendar!
Ive been going since I was a young boy, always a favorite every year. So much to see, so much history. If you love old machines youll love this place.
Great place to spend a day. Lots of different museums to see in one place.
If you come during the Great Oregon Stream Up event theres almost countless things to do. To the immediate left of the entrance is a set of bleachers for watching the tractor parades. Farther left is Willow Creek Railroad, a 1/8th scale model railroad that offers free rides. Heading away from the entrance on the left youll find a shack serving hotdogs and the like, an old fashioned store, and, finally a large flea-market containing a plethora of interesting antiques. It should be noted that on the other side of willow creek is a stop for the trolley line, but I dont think you can buy tickets there, so youd be better off trying at the main station. Heading strait from the entrance youll find a collection of mini machines. Farther on youll get too several craft shops such as blacksmithing add wood working. To the right is a working steam sawmill (pictured below) that has shows every half-hour. Outside is amazing ice cream made with steam power. Sometimes a group that has military vehicles also sets up outside. On the right of the sawmill is the trolly station that was made from wood cut at the sawmill. Heading further up and right from there is an antique car museum, fire truck museum, steam crane display and food carts. Restrooms are located to the right of the enterance and near the station. Theres a ton more stuff beyond that, but my thumb is starting to hurt.
Very Interesting, especially during steam up. Great people, fun volunteers!! A must attend for steam up, inexpensive, admission free parking, fun!!
A fantastic place to go to learn about history. Everything is set up so you can easily admire the things on display and learn about them.
