If you want to get a taste of the real history of Salem beyond the witches take a stroll down Chestnut & Essex St (cut through adorable Botts Court) and Federal & River streets. Gorgeous Federal, Greek Revival & Victorian architectural homes. Read the historic plaques to learn more about the original owners.

Great Little Shack in the middle of Salem. I mean, how could tasty seafood in butter toasted bread not be good.

This is a beautiful historical district in Salem Massachusetts that showcases a lot of Samuel McIntires architecture. Its just a few blocks of neighborhoods and easy to walk around and see all of the good buildings. The Ropes Mansion Gardens are open to the public and definitely one of the first things you should check out if you are interested in this area.
