Nice little walking track. Great play area for kids with wooden castle playground and swings.
An Absolutely amazing park. I have lived in the areas all of my life and never knew about this place. Awesome and huge wooden playground for all ages. They also have a huge field, stage and lots if benches. Oh yeah I cant forget about the trail. The trail was one of the best parts. Have fun! This is JUGGS APPROVED
Very cool and large wooden playground next to a clearing with a huge outdoor wooden stage/platform. There are some lightly wooded walking trails, and a large grassy field. Nice place to bring the kids to play, or for a picnic.
My family just loves the Field of Dreams park! Although there is a nice parking lot, Salem High School underclassmen do park here and spots can be a little hard to come by in May and early June. When we head to this park we love to pack a lunch and either lay down a picnic blanket in the grass or eat at one of the handful of picnic tables. The playground is a well kept wooden playground with tons of levels, paths, castle peaks, and more. They have swing for all ages and the tree cover is perfect for hot summer days. Don’t forget to bring the kiddos on a nature walk on the paths before heading home too! Unfortunately there aren’t real bathrooms but at least there are portable ones.
I really like this park. There is a lot of shade, and a lot to do. The playground is really big, there are hiking trails that loop around, it connects to some open fields, a stage, picnic tables, exercise stations. I think it is a great family or single or dog friendly destination.
Very cute place to visit, especially if you have a dog or kids. Lots of fields that are hidden off the main path to run your pups on. Its not terribly big, and since it abutts Salem High, there are DEFINITELY signs of teenage immaturity, but if your looking for a quick and easy place to take a quick walk, check it out. Not worth driving to (ie. If its more than 15 minutes away, hard pass unless you are going to take your kids to play on the jungle gym).
Love this place. Be ready to run around with your little ones. I took my friends daughter who had a great time. After the play ground we went for a hike. Great time. Bring snacks or have lunch.
Wow! Extremely awesome wooden playground area hidden in the woods. Also nice trails thru the rest of this beautiful wooded park
Great place for kids to run around and trails to walk.
Great park for kids and have small trail for hiking. Small parking lot..
Large playground, surrounded by woods. Peaceful and serene. Could use a new coat of paint on the playground.
Big fun playground and (rare) mostly shaded.
Wonderful playground with picnic tables and porta potties. Parking can get crowded so we park across the street at the court house. Theres circut for adults to get a work out in. There are also walking trails for a quick nature walk. Its a nice park for the kids after a full morning of shopping, so close to all the stores of Salem.
I absolutely love this place and so does my son.Idk how long this place has been here but i feel like i remember coming here as a child. Either way this park is great. All wood. Huge with metal slides! The only reason I took one star away is because as great as the park is, it feels like the end is right around the corner.Like its becoming forgotten. Certain attractions are broken. Broken chains on bridges etc and that square thing! (Dont remember the name of it but its broken.) If they could just breathe a little life back i to this park it could be one of the greatest for years to come.
So much fun. Came here when I was a kid when this park first opened. Now I bring my daughters here too and they love it!
Great place to take the kids!
We had a great time. Little guy (2) had a blast running all the walkways of the castle. He also loved hanging from the bars, balancing on the boat(platform that wiggles), testing the balance ropes, riding the train, swinging, and of course exploring the woods, climbing the rocks in the woods, and splashing in the little stream. He enjoyed watching bigger kids on the zipline and trying the slides. There are picnic tables, trash barrels, outhouses, and both wooded and grassy areas to play in addition to the playground itself.
I used to take my kids here back in the 90s. Its a pretty good place for kids, as there Jungle Gym is one of the best around. You can also take some short walks into the woods. I also like the fact that they hold free concerts. I have been to many. Its a great place to go with the wife or bring the kids to check out some family friendly live music and have a little picnic..
Fun for all ages of kids. There is a playground and a fitness path as well as a nice grassy area with a stage. We went as part of the annual Salem Family Fun Day for the third year and it always gets bigger every year.
Cute, tranquil different plus small trail and workout area for adults...when I want to take my kids to the park and reconnect with nature.. this is my go to.
There kids love this place. Theres a great trail behind it along the river.
A unique playground but that does not mean its well done or even great. Its decent and different and on the larger side. It does need updating though and they should replace some of the wood.
I LOVED this park as a kid and this weekend I finally brought my boyfriends kids and they had great time. I wish that it was getting maintained better but the fact that 20 years later kids still enjoy this park speaks to just how nice it is.
Its a lovely refuge for kids. The place itself is nothing extraordinary, but it has its glamour. Its full of chipmunks and squirrels that are entertaining to watch if youre in that sort of things.
Its right next to the grocery store and we stop by it every sunday after shopping. My daughter absolutely loves this park.
Great local playground and workout stations for young families to mix the woods with healthy fun.
My girls and nephews love this park as well as my siblings and i! So much fun either way, whether you are on the play structure walking the trails!
Awesome playground and trails in the woods for all. Some ropes and chains are broken and need repair but still a great place.
Great place to take young children. They also have a walking path and during the summer have different activities going on.
Nice park needs some maintenance and updates could have a good day with your family but pets are not allowed on the park or paths
Nice little trail behind it, kids always have fun and go on stage to do little performances. Neat outdoor gym to do extra exercise when with the kids (or no kids )
Amazing place to spend time with the family and friends but some area were full of trashes scattered on the ground.
Bring your family here. Enjoy the frequent events, concerts, playground and walking trails. Support the fundraisers to keep this park alive! Maintenance is not free!
A very beautiful place just to walk around or just lay out somewhere. very calming.
Well-organized. Staff does a nice job of working with performers in the summer concert series.
My son loves this place. I appreciate that its kept clean and the other parents and kids have been nice
Great play area we just happen to be driving through my 3 year old loved it
Amazing playground and surrounding hiking paths in the woods.
This place is nice for young children. But keep your children supervised, there are some shady people there.
This is an epic playground! So many nooks and crannies to pretend or play hide and seek. Lots of room to run and play. I love wooden playgrounds from when I was a kid, I hope nothing happens to this gem.
Secret gem. Slightly hidden from main roads but a delight.
Childhood memory for me. Daughter loves it. Wear a helmet in some places. Lol.
Been cleaned up repaint
Always fun for the grandchildren, field of dreams has brand new swings, benches & tables for a small picnic, and a great walking trail through the woods...where we saw an owl yesterday!
The playground is way cool, the kids love it. And there is a nature trail.
Love taking my kids here. There imaginations run wild.
Its a nice park.
Music concert/fund raiser, great show by Salem Boyz
Love this park. Its peaceful and my daughter loves playing there. There is a walking trail off to the side that she loves to kick her ball around. There are usually a bunch of other kids there playing too so always able to keep my lil one busy.
What a great park. The kids loved it here. The swings though seems a little low. My daughter feet were hitting the ground while swinging and shes only 7, maybe they can adjust that a bit, but maybe because they were new swings. Be careful there are a lot of ticks in this area, we checked the kids after playing for an hour and found 2 on their clothing. There are signs though warning about the ticks, which was a good thing to remind people to check.
We like visting this park because of the hiking trails but the park could definetly use a face lift. Like the sandbox has no sand and theres about a 3 foot drop off the kiddie slide in the smaller kids area . the high school kids park in the parking lot so its hard to find a spot to park in even when the park has no people in it.
Love it! I think they may have redone the swings and so on since we were last there in the summer but even with the few areas that needed work at the time its STILL our favorite park! Amazing crawl tunnels and structures setup all over this old school type caste playground! Its so much fun! We would rather drive 35 mins here then go to any of the newer playgrounds around us. There are some cool ones like in Westford but they are the new type that leave the little one board after an hour or so. This playground is so much fun we always play for hours and hours and she never wants to leave! Plus the metal slides are so FAST! not like the slow poke plastic ones at the new parks. Then as a plus we go for a nice walk on the trails connected behind the park which is a lot of fun in its own right. Overall this is a five star park! Love it! Hope they never redo this!!!!! Keep it wood and Old school forever!!!!
Awesome structure. The only negative is the metal slide, which gets hot
This is a beautiful park that I often bring my son to. They have lots of big rocks that he loves to climb on, large open grassy areas to run around in, nice hiking trails that are easy for a 2 year old with lots of cool geological features along them and not too large of a trail system to ever get lost in, and of course the beautifully constructed wooden playground for the chilluns. The park also has outdoor workout equipment, a volleyball/badminton court, a light track, and access to the Salem High School fields. My one reason for knocking a star off is that there seems to be a lack of maintenance to the parks facilities. There are so many cool things here that are unfortunately breaking down over time and have seen no sign of repairs done to them. The wooden playground is a beautifully built structure, one that I would hope my childrens childrens children could play on someday. You dont see wooden playgrounds like this around anywhere anymore. Its really a rare gem. It has so many features with towers and bridges and tunnels, etc. Its just beautiful. However, there are many parts of the wood that are rotting. Chains have broken off that hold some of the wooden features, boards are falling off in places, and it just needs a solid work crew to come out for maybe a few days or a week and go over everything with a fresh coat of paint to help it last. The swing set hangars are all squeaky and dont sound like theyre doing too well. All the chains are rusted and everything could use just a fresh update. The light track is one of the coolest things Ive seen. It features about a 100 ft section of lights that light up and travel from one end to the other under the control of a variable speed switch located just across from it. The downside? Its broken. I havent seen that thing work in years. Cant someone get out and fix it? That would be really nice. Its a shame to see it sit there and rot away. Some of the exercise equipment is broken as well.So although this is one of the best parks in the area, some of its highlights are fading away and arent seeing much TLC. Im not sure who is responsible for the oversight of this park, but it would be fantastic if they could get a work crew together and go in to restore some of the things falling apart here.
Cool place. The wood needs to be replaced.
A wonderful community park & playground. The FREE summer concert in July and August are very enjoyable. It is a well-maintained park which is supported totally by volunteers. There is a new fitness trail and they have walking trails.
Its a great family day
Great park for children. Lots of things to climb for them and a there is a nice little trail to walk too.
Great place to explore and play!!
Cute park, in need of clean up and some hard elbow grease. Most of the paint was peeling and aging.
There are many different structures for children to climb up and through. The castles are a great way for children to use their imaginations and stay busy!
Great place to chill and reflect
White Mountain walking scenery
My kids love it and nice walking trails
Hide and seek is tons of fun in the tunnels! Has plenty of sun and shade. Bring food and drinks and make a day of being there. Go for a walk on the trail.
Great park for the kids to run around. I like that they have a different little area with baby swings for the littlest ones visiting.
We need toilet for parents and kids, I hope who is in charge with this, Please do something. We pay taxes we deserve just a toilet.
My children love this playground.
Finally a real play ground thats not just plastic and metal!
Great beautiful place, amazing for a walk
This rejuvenated playground needs better security, like cameras and a call box in case of an emergency
Kids can run around in a castle! There are trails for you and your family to enjoy. The area is nestled in this little woodland corner. Lots of trees and a bit from the road. Only (2) issues... Make sure kids wear pants in summer because slides are metal and signs read you cannot bring dogs.
So beautiful. Fantastic place for kids. We spent hours here. The kids had so much fun.
This place is great for children to explore. A few trails and large rock outcrops.Picnic areas and porta potties are available. There is an old foundation just off the trail.
Park needs lots of things fixed otherwise very nice Park

Great little kids park
Great park to bring kids
Great park with plenty of shade, only down fall is there is a portapotty no bathrooms
Absolutely a fun place to take your kids to have fun espescaily for the fireworks on the 4th of july
Nice park, lots to play on. Parking is tough, only 2 baby swings though.
Great place to take the Grandkids. Very buggy in warm weather. Only service dogs allowed.
Great playground and picnic area along with potties.
Has nice trails but not a lot of sun. The swings and equipment could use some upkeep.
Fun place to spend time with family. They have concerts, and more on a regular schedule here. Watch out for ticks and mosquitos.
I love this place I used to come here as a kid and now I bring my son here too and he loves it.
My granddauggt loves it here we went a couple months ago it was out first time since new to Salem...
