Great fun for everyone! Never went to amusement parks but this was a great start. They are social distancing but with places you can unmask and not worry. Just did the park and it was so much fun. Going back to do Castaway Island which looked like so much fun and relaxation.

I went yesterday and i had a great time with my family! Some attractions are closed due to the pandemic like the bumper cars, the boat ride and others. The staff is doing a great job going around the park telling people about the mask free zones, the sanitizing stations, and making sure everyone was respecting the covid 19 restrictions like making sure everyone had a mask on and over their nose which quite a few didn’t but were called out and politely ask to, social distancing was attempted to be enforced but many people didn’t put their part so its not the parks fault. Despite all the restrictions it was very fun! At the entrance you had to show your reservation and tickets, they would check your temperature and pass through security. The rides were great and castaway island has to be a favorite! Its always fun going their, in the lazy river you weren’t required a mask and would always be bumping into people which can’t really be avoided so its not their fault. The restaurants in the water area had no seats to eat their because of how close it was to the line of the lazy river, so they were moved to somewhere else where social distancing can be followed. Its always a great to go there and we definitely recommend this park! Also i would like to say that people shouldn’t give this park low ratings because of their distaste with the restrictions when their trying their best to keep us safe while having fun !!!!!

I have going to this park for 56 years. As a child, as a parent and now as a grandparent. I was also invited to the soft/test opening Tuesday. They did an amazing job getting everything set up to keep everyone safe and ensure the same fun was had by all. Although there were many changes, as required by our government, we still had a fantastic time. Thank you everyone for a job well done! Cant wait to come back!

Great time, and they really are doing everything they can to keep people safe with the virus going on. You do have to make reservations online and mine were not until noon and they close at 6pm. I figured that there may be less people allowed in, and therefor would reflect on how long you wait for rides, but a couple of the roller coasters me and my girlfriend waited for an hour. In the 6 hours we were there we made it on 6 rides, but it was well worth it!!

They did an excellent job with the Safety measures and etc due to Covid 19.

Although reservations were needed and required, it appeared that they maxed out the place, too many people! Was there the entire day and the lines were long because if it. Thought it was going to be a reduced number due to COVID, but that was not the case. They took a lot of precautions with cleaning the rides, which was great! The crowds caused the time issue of waiting in line for 40 minutes per ride. Only able to do 6 rides.

Just went yesterday with a family of 4 (5 and 2 year old)Pros-Lots of rides for kids (even with the big amount of closures)Train ride was nice and relaxing on the lake (could lower your mask)Clean park, nicely landscaped as always (been going there my whole life)Employees mostly nice...mostly (some of the security at the front and inside were a little too militant for my taste for a family theme park)Cons-Park felt full, did not feel reduced capacity and the price was increased (almost 120 bucks for 2 adults and a 5 year old)lines everywhere, due to the numerous rows removed, leaving you standing next to each in line instead...Numerous rides closed (I think to clean them) however many were permanently closed...which leads to more people funneling to rides that ARE operationalNot a ton of food options.Love the park over my 36 years, but wont go back until the Social Distance Team is dismantled..not a fun experience to hear wear your masks! all dayyyy longggg

Theyre trying their hardest to keep people from spreading the virus. Using the 6ft apart and cleaning rides off. Having people drive around and tell you to wear your mask. They also have a sanitizer person walking around.Rides do take a lot longer though. And you cant ride all the rides because theyre using every other seat. So prices should be lowered.I also dont think they should let people wear shirts to the park that promote acts of violence. I saw a guy wearing a shirt that said if they kill we roit!!!! No reason for this in a park of children. This is a family place.

Here during our Pandemic summer... WAY TOO overbooked. Lines are long to get into the park, long to get in the reduced number of people on each ride, which is counterintuitive as were all lined up like any other year. Im all about pro-business during the pandemic, but this is not what they said it would be on their website. Very upset to have driven nearly two hours to come support them to have been lied to on their site. I would have planned something else had this been the case. Its Friday and I think its busier than two summers ago on a Saturday. If this is going to be the case, you might as well run it like any other year, just with facemasks. Fill the rides up and operate, because what this is dumb and short-sighted. Theres more risk standing in line than on the ride.

Good place for a family day out with all things considered during the pandemic. Its well staffed with the exception of some of the food queues. The food is a little pricey which I imagine offsets the good value park tickets.I think they could be a bit more sensible about ride capacity. Many of the cars are far apart but they choose to operate the rides at 1/4 or 1/2 capacity which leads to long lines. Its great that they enforce rules to keep you safe but there is a bit of inconsistency on how they are applied.

Pretty park. Clean. Well-maintained. And theyve done a nice job limiting park crowding in the age of COVID. However, their current ride procedures appear overly cautious. Two people on the Boston Tea Party? Four on Skater? And why did I need to sit two rows behind my daughters on the Corkscrew? We spent most of our time waiting ... in frustration. Good effort, but time for the Operations staff to reassess.

Kid rides were only 2 at a time, so instead we were in looooong lines social distancing. The whole point is to not be close to eachother, but we stand in lines together? You could be moving the kids thru 20 mins faster. The staff is half in attendance, yet theres delays and waitng for teenage workers who have seemed already to have given up on life.*GONDOLAS every other sled??? Had a great time, even on a blistering hot day, at this family-friendly amusement and water park. Its not overly big, you can easily exit to your car and come back in without trekking miles. Its clean with plenty of spaces to seek out shade (though not on all the ride lines). Get there early, hit the water park, break for lunch (pack a picnic and eat in the parking lot) and then hit up some coasters or kiddie rides. A good mix of rides for everyone from toddlers to seniors that wont bust your budget.

Some rides closed, but still plenty to do still from time park opens n til close. Waterpark Castaway Island was great too! Plenty of hand sanitizer that park employees even bring around to u frequently, in addition to hand sanitizing stations all around! This is a review based on Covid regulations only. All year-long, my daughter asks to go to CLP. It is her favorite place. In fact, we attended 3 times last season. After reading the website/new rules in place, I thought, ok this sounds do-able lets go in the cooler weather because the mask will be hard on my daughter in the heat of summer.... but in all honesty we should have skipped the park all together in this pandemic.Lets just say our experience fell so short. Just read the other reviews on the way rides are set up at sometimes a quarter of the regular capacity. And you have to wait sometimes up to an hour for a ride because of it. No one is socially distanced in line- or at the food court. Yet, the rides are regulated. Go figure. Not to mention, you take an hour out of your day to have a meal. So lets say the park is open from 10:30 to 6. Maybe you can squeeze in 5 rides and a lunch break if youre quick and dragging your kids through the park.Id say, the park is worth it for kids under 4. Kiddie land moves faster. But even there, all the rides are not operational.Total rip off, and I wish I asked for a refund.

Canobie Lake is a great small amusement park. Admission is still relatively reasonable and there is no charge to park. There are not the same number of major rides as one might find in some of the larger amusement parks, but there are a few quality coasters, and the water park has recently been expanded to make the overall experience even better than it was (and I have enjoyed going there for many years now).It is especially great for groups with a mix of ages. There are sufficient rides to keep the little ones occupied, and as mentioned previously, a few good coasters to make sure older kids and adults have fun too.On a crowded day a person can stay occupied trying to get on rides all day long. My daughter and I were there recently when the crowds were low, and we found ourselves sort of looking for things to do by the end of the day. We felt we had done everything we wanted to do, but we continued to enjoy ourselves nonetheless. It is a classic American amusement park. I feel like Im getting my moneys worth when I go there, unlike some major amusement park chains (yes, 6 flags, Im talking to you!}.Highly recommended for a day of family fun.

OK, this is a really great place that is fun to go to and more convenient given where I live we cant just fly to Disney whenever we want and those this is not at that level, it can be seen as an alternative. The rides are fun there but they have to make the haunted houses more consistent with the level of being scared so ya. The lines are long though, but usually they are worth the wait. Rides that definitely are recommended to go on are Turkish Twists, so every time I have been there the line isnt long, and if you are alone, which isnt as fun, go to the singular ride in the back. Also, another one to go on is whatever interests you because they are so amazing things you can go on here that can meet what wants to do.

1️for the park’s operations at “25%”5️for customer serviceAverage of 3... read on for full description :)I agree with other reviews that say it’s not really the best time to come during COVID-19.I believe that they are trying to cover themselves and are enforcing greater than 6ft distance on most rides etc, but it was very expensive to come here. Additionally, my expectation is that my family and I will actually RIDE some rides at that cost.We have been here for an hour in a line that appeared shortest, but only 2 rows are filled on every run (the Skater). (The ride has 6 rows which hold 4 people, so, 24 capacity, but if there are two in your party, and two in the other party, you each sit in the first and last row for a total of 4 riders... 4/24=16%...)Feeling sad that we drove all this way and paid so much money and our first Canobie experience is a bummer. We WERE really excited to come here, but realistically we probably would not return. My oldest daughter said it best “I feel like if they are going to ALLOW this many people in the park they should have more people on rides.” Perhaps their “park capacity” is just too unevenly matched with their “ride capacity”I’ve updated this though to add that within the first hour of being in the park when I noticed this discrepancy and realized we wouldn’t likely get to ride more than 6-7 rides in 6 hours, I asked the park for a refund and while they didn’t REFUND, they gave us the option to exit the park and get return tickets to come at a future date. I am thankful for that and my girls are hopeful for a fun time in the future. The park is beautiful and clean, but those Covid wait times are nuts!

The park should be selling discounted tickets as its next to impossible to go on any rides. The lines are long and go back painfully slow. I understand the reasoning why, the park has to go by certain policies to stay opened, but the amount of time you waste waiting in lines means youll be able to ride 4-5 of them. Not all the rides are open at the park either and by that i mean the majority. Which is something they should be listing on their website, I went in expecting rides to be closed, but if I had known which ones or even how many were closed, I wouldnt have wasted my money going. Clean, great staff, lots to do, we went as a company group had a catered lunch, great shows, lots of big and little kids rides, little disappointed with all the expensive street sales . $15.00 for a toy that could have been bought at a store for $8.00. The games were also very pricey. I would rather only pay for gate and food: hard to budget with the unknown inside the gates. One day would not be enough for teenagers. The day was hot, the water park was overcrowded so they were putting a limit on admission.

Beautiful park great for families of all ages plus the new water park is an awesome addition. It has a real old school nostalgic feel that has sadly been lost in the new big adventure theme parks thats why I keep coming back as I want my daughter to experience the same type of family fun I did as a child. The place is clean and updated, prices are fair and the Saturday fireworks were great. The food is pretty good for theme park concessions and a few sell adult beverages for stressed out parents. You can enjoy all the rides and attractions in one day but plan on 2 if you want spend a hot day at the water park.

They were definitely trying to keep it safe. We came across a few sanitizer stations that were either out or not working. They enforce masks, but a lot of lines we found that people were not keeping 6 feet apart, especially the lines that wrap around. Wait times were also long.

Even though some of the attractions were closed, due to covid, my family and I had an amazing time.

Its relatively near by for us, and my daughter just hit the 48 mark so its the first time she could pick from all the rides except one.

This place is more action and less words. Come here with your friends and family, it is a great place to be. The only downside was I was here on Sunday and it was super packed, had a decent wait time for rides. But as soon as I hit the new water park all my complaints went away, it was truly relaxing. We finally finished with some good food overlooking the lake.

Great place to spend the day. If you go now, spring, it is only $28.00. prices then go up to $39.00 in summer. All rides and water park is included in this price. Food and drinks are really expensive so bring your own in your backpack ( no glass). Park is very clean and ride tenders are super nice. There are rides for young and old. Check out their website!

Me and my 5 and 9 year olds had an absolute blast here yesterday! The facility is so clean, bathrooms especially. Plenty of staff cleaning. There were on 3 rides not working. We did not go in the water park, maybe next time. Food is very expensive, to be expected. We will definitely be back!

If youre gonna complain about Social Distancing at an amusement park, then dont leave your house! If you wear a mask, you dont need to social distance. That is the whole POINT of the mask.It was 900 degrees out when we went, standing in longer lines b/c 1/3 of the rides have to be occupied. A customer fainted and slammed her head on the cement, that was nice to witness at the Cannonball. My son lifted his mask to speak to me and my wife as the 3 of us were together. We also live in the same house.... A surly older skinny security guard came over and told my son to put the mask back on. Said with a attitude like were being reckless.Canobie is trying to CoA and doing the best they can but if it jeopardizes the entire experience for customers, why bother?

Security is on a power trip. One guy especially was extremely rude towards me. Not worth the money to go. Find a lake to go to instead, youll have more fun and save a ton of money

It was ok. Not what Im used to when going to Canobie Lake. Things are definitely different. Certain areas are blocked off not allowing through traffic so you walk into dead ends and have to turn around and go back the other way. Lots of rides were not running. Masks are mandatory but they have some for sale if you lose yours on a ride. We were there for 4 hours and we only were able to enjoy 3 rides (Ferris Wheel, Flume and Race Track) we enjoyed Castaway Island but with no place to put our belongings because there was no seating due to over capacity it made enjoying the waterpark difficult. Food is still high priced, this place is still charging full price with over 30% of their attractions shut down. There are mask free zones that are over crowded. 6 foot rule doesnt seem to matter because of the way they have the que designed. People 6ft in front of you and 6ft behind you but yet someone standing right next to you 1 foot away. Had a horrible experience with a employee who felt the need to reprimand my child simply for standing on a bar (cant blame her, 7 years old waiting 45 minutes in line for one 60 second ride that broke down 1/2 way through) Our car broke down on the track and we had to walk back, complete mess. Absolute lack of training on staff as well, highly annoyed with someone who works there to feel the need to parent my child in front of me. If she is doing something wrong you talk to ME not my child!!! She is a very well behaved girl. She left thinking she was in trouble and did something wrong. Not a good experience.

This place is so fun, even tho the Corona Virus has caused some of the rides to be shut down, the ones that are open are very fun, I loved the Canobie Corkscrew that ride was my favorite and was the most traumatizing. But I loved Canobie Lake Park and I recommend it to people lookie for big fun!!

Its such a fun park! It was not crowded since we came on a Friday. There are family rides, a new water park, plenty to do and small enough that I dont worry about letting my teen head off with friends. Its a super value for the price of admission!

It was great to have Canobie Lake open again. However, the safety requirements inforced were not the best. Mask were not required while waiting in line for the water slides and no one used the safety distance squares provided. People lined up as if we were not in an epidemic. Not all hand sanitizer stations work or were empty.Overall not bad for1st opening while figuring it out but needs improvement.

Weve been visiting Canobie since our son was 4. 5 years later he has grown up with it as his favorite summer time getaway location. Thrill rides, shows, and a water park make for a full day for the family. There are numerous food stands that might only be a few dollars less than other amusement parks, so expect to pay a price you might not think worth it for a little bite to eat. The positive is you can get a souvenir cup that will allow you to have refills for a buck as of 2019. Parking is free. The grounds are kept incredibly well. Canobie isnt so big that you cant get through most of the attractions in a day. Worth a visit if youre familiarizing your children with the concept of an amusement park. You will find something for all ages.

Wow...I hadnt been in 20+ years and it has gotten even better. We had a great time, there is something for everyone and the grounds are lovely. I also love the map. Staff is young, but very professional. Lines can be pretty long for the popular rides, just move on and come back, or get ready to talk with your peeps. They serve good beer!
