Nice go carts. Putt putt a little run down

The entire family found something fun to do. We were there for a birthday party.

I was really hoping to like this place. We drove over an hour for the kids to have some fun. Upon coming in we were not told there was a height restriction on the go carts. And of course they have a strict no refund policy. Weird they enforce this but not the cutting the line policy. And even for kids old enough to ride by themselves, theres a height for a slow race (vs slightly faster race). So after standing in a long line for a good 25 minutes my daughter had to wait even longer for a slow speed race. Also all the other kids kept cutting in line and nothing was done about it so we were in line for laser tag for over 30 minutes because of children cutting line with no parents to be found. Staff at the kiddie bumper cars disappeared for at least 20 minutes and was nowhere to be found. The front desk/grill people were polite and the guy at the bigger track was nice but we wont be back. For 2 hours we basically stood in line and only got to participate once in laser tag, once at the large track and twice at the kiddie track. We spent almost $60 to stand in line most of our time there.

It was fun, they didnt practice social distancing nor did they enforce wearing a mask. There were alot of people walking around without a mask.

Pretty good family fun. Clean, well maintained. The price isnt unreasonable. Great place to spend an afternoon with a 8 to 12 year olds.

Went there for my grandsons birthday and he loved it. The manager was really nice to us. The go carts were fun and the family enjoyed laser tag. The pizza was good.

Great place for kids birthday parties or just a get together with with friends. Features three different go-cart tracks, one for toddlers, one for children and adults, and one for adults outside. They also have an outdoor putt putt play area and 2 arcade areas inside. Claimed to have laser tag but could not find it.

Great place for kids to have fun. Adults love it too. We have been to several parties here and all went smoothly and all had a great time. We had a corporate function here too and all of us adults had a blast.

It was ok, but if you are going to charge so much money, Maybe use the money to fix up the place, give a new paint job, hire friendlier people, update games, make an adults only section, and families section. Make sure someone is cleaning the tables and facilities at all times. The kids had fun, but you all have to do better. Also clean out that water fall, and put something in it that will not pollute the water . Fix the laser tag thing to where someone can add their name.

Thunder Valley Casino has numerous new slots as well as a new poker and bingo hall. We have been impressed at the on going additions and improvements continually being made to this property. They also offer a variety of entertainers who appear here throughout the year with both indoor and outside entertainment areas. Thunder Valley Casino Resort is always clean and the staff go out of there way to be helpful.

Its definitely a fun place to go with your friends, regardless of how old you are

One price for two hours and all you can do with race karts and laser room. Arcade area extra. Snack bar is decent.

My daughter went here for a birthday party. So go-karts cant touch the walls? Im confused, because my daughter is learning and 2 small bumps in the wall and she got told to get off. Your go karts arent that nice, you act like there arent number all around it. Whatever, fine. But when the lady had to come out and help my daughter she acted like it was the end of the world. Yelled what the h*** and went and... did her job? The best part was when she got closer to my daughter and mumbled what the f***. Its a good thing I was told this after I left. Or they girl running the track on 6/8/19 would have heard my own form of cussing. Entitled little brat.

Definitely a place more geared for younger kids (go kart track very simple). Still, a great place with helpful staff and a decent mix of games. Pizza was also surprisingly good.

We had my sons 7th birthday there. It was GREAT!! The party room was nice and spacious. You cant beat the price for what you get. I would highly recommend Thunder Valley to anyone looking for an all inclusive kids party venue. The only thing we had to bring was the cake and the kids. They provided the room (nice and quiet given the action going on all around us), pizza, drinks, game coins, and arm bands for two hours of unlimited go-karts, mini-karts, and laser tag. All at a great price! Again, I would highly recommend Thunder Valley.

Took my grandchildren, kids and friends out to thunder valley and had a blast. Yes absolutely will come back. We loved it.

This place has potential but with half the arcade games not working people will turn away after their first trip. I honestly felt like I was ripped off by coming here. There was one other car in the parking lot besides ours and there were double tokens that night too. We came very close to asking for a refund on the tokens we purchased to play the games, just sad really.

Its fun for kids n adults

My youngest loves it here! Has changed a lot but the staff is very friendly and they are constant on the rules.

Would go again if I lived in Virginia. A wide variety of games, and prizes. I wish more games offered tickets for playing. I also wish that they lowered the ticket prices for some of the prizes.Though overall, the experience was amazing, my little cousin even won the jackpot on the ball drop for tickets. I would.most definitely go again if I lived in Virginia.

Ok for people with smaller kids. I felt like it was a little pricey for such small go kart tracks. The laser tag was nice but we went for go karts l. So if you like going in a super small indoor oval track and the possibility weather permitting to use a slightly small outdoor track; maybe this is for you. Ask if the outdoor track is open BEFORE you buy a two hour pass btw.

Avoid avoid avoid!!!! Pick something else! This place is horrible. I was waiting in line with my 3 kids for laser tag. We were the first in line. Some little boys bum rushed the door and the guy let them go ahead of us because he couldn’t prove otherwise. Then we got there at 1230 on a Saturday. Wrist bands were supposed to be 10. They charged me full price. I hate this place. The lines were so slow that the 2 hour wrist bands really only allow you to do two things.

Great family fun, only reason for 4 stars is outside gocarts not running on Sunday which was very disappointing. Nice staff, good games, laser tag and mini golf were lots of fun.

Finally, a real arcade! I think it used to be better, but this is no Chuck E Cheese. This is without a doubt the best arcade in the whole Roanoke Valley. I highly recommend visiting if you like retro arcade games and go-karts.

Its a great place to take your kids. They have an arcade room, lasertag, gokarts for young kids, middle aged kids, and 18+, putput, and air hockey. As a group of adults we hot into laser tag just the 5 of us, and got to play with a secret set of sound effects not meant for kids. It livened up the laser tag for sure.

Theres plenty of games and things to do but one can tell that age is playing its toll on Thunder Valley. The staff and activities are fine, it just looks old and needs some major updating.

We came here on a date night and had a lot of fun. They have an arm-band special that included unlimited go-kart, mini-golf, and lazertag for two hours. The karts are nice and seemed to go at a decent clip.They had a variety of video-games to choose from although some of the games could use some TLC. They have food and beverages but, we had eaten before we came and didnt buy any food. The staff was friendly and the place appeared clean. We will consider coming back.

Seriously, this place has gone downhill. It used to be a fun place to go. Now, everything is run down and broken. No care is taken to make it nice. It smells like feet. There were SEVERAL arcade games that didnt work, not to mention that most of them are 20-30 years old. Others just took tokens and didnt play. Laser tag equipment wasnt working properly either.Its a shame. This place fills a void of entertainment in the valley, its just not done with any care or pride. Save your money and find something else to do.

A great experience with the kids

So we purchased 2 hour wristbands for gokartsband lazer tag. Lazer tag is not working and they would only offer a 4 go kart pass refund. Jerome manning the so called manager is racist. I thanked him every time and he said nothing. Then chose to help people that were behind me. So after I told them about the issue Jerome Mann told me he gets off at 7 and to meet him outside what a hood rat.

Best place for children 5 and up. Little kids 4 and under really sont have much to do.

The outdoor activities are the best part: the golf course is fun and features 18 holes which are nicely landscaped and include playing around a cute waterfall. The go carts, both outdoors and the semi-outdoors offer a lot of fun and excitement for adults and kids. The inside is less desirable as the exhaust is not well ventilated and the noise can be a lot.

It was very unpleasant I go there for my nephews birthday party and im stand across from the snack stand beside the exit of the inside track and some little punk throws a token and almost hits my 9 month old daughter. Then I walk away and see the kids that threw it so I go and tell the manager what happened he doesnt do anything to the kid that did. So my recommendation is dont go the manager is not professional enough to stand up for his patrons when they have a problem..... Very disappointed and dissatisfied also there were no accommodation for fathers with babies no changing tables in the mens room so I had to go to the womans room to change my daughter. Fun for kids 5 to 75 . not much for kids too small for go carts . but as long as tall enough for carts I think they have fun. teens liked lazertag.

Ive been here about three times, it supplies tremendous fun for the whole family. Theres an arcade, three sections for different heights and ages for go-karts, laser tag, a bounce house, mini golf and a small bowling alley in the back. The food is great and the restrooms are clean. I highly suggest you visit.

The bounce house was unsupervised and it got out of hand with bigger kids pushing over smaller ones. The indoor small track was open but we needed to find someone to run it multiple times. The guy working the outdoor track did a great job of making sure the cars were maxed out to speed the line up- even with that we waited in line over 30 mins for the outdoor go carts.We had a decent time, the kids always enjoy themselves. As a parent, Id spend my time and money somewhere else.

I had a blast. My wife and I both. The people are so nice I mean just the nicest people ever. If it wasnt on the other side of the world from where I live I would go back again and again. Its just a nice and affordable way to spend the afternoon or evening

Very friendly staff. Wish the tracks were bigger and that the adult one could be used by older shorter kids. Have to be 51 inches. The kiddie one is a small track and the cars go very slow. My son loved the laser tag the most.

The putt putt course was nice and challenging but very dirty. Water was full of litter and smelled.

Thursdays are a good deal with discounted wrist bands and half price tokens. Expect a wait for laser tag and go carts.

It’s a lot of fun for the kids but the only thing is the indoor racing is super slow in line. So if they can’t drive alone you have to wait with them for a car to be ready because the space is limited. We waited 30 min for one round

Great place for the arcade. They have a DDR extreme, and that was fun to play on. It is a bit run down, but I didnt really care too much, especially when theres not really anything else around.

I like Thunder Alley, because mini golf was challenging and I like a challenging game of mini golf.

Fun place costly though and a lot of games are broken and outdated but kids had a blast and laser tag was great

Wost family center i have ever been to! Most of the games were not working correctly. The prices on the games are horrible. The put put golf is in need of a major overhaul. The laser tag is about as bad as laser venture was when they closed down. The only thing that is any good is the go karts and that is not by much. We as a family regularly go to places like this pretty much every year. This is the worst one i have ever been to. Their website is out of date and needs an overhaul. It does not have a kids play zone anymore. They have taken it down. Honestly i feel ripped off. Honestly Chucke Cheese may not have go karts but is much better value. The 3.6 rating on here is a staged rating. The people that did a few of the 5 star reviews are suspect. Seems as if they have staff posting reviews to get the rating up.

Been here for lots of childrens birthday parties and the kids always enjoy. Have also stopped in just to play a game of laser tag on a date night. You can buy packages for longer visits or tickets a- la- carte.

Dont buy the wrist bands if youre there on a busy day. It seems like a good deal but we had 2 hour wrist bands and only ended up being able to ride the go karts once and play laser tag once because you have to wait in line for so long.

Kids have a good time here. Food is just passable and a little pricey for the serving size but we mostly go for the activities and those are good.
