This park is seriously beautiful. Its very small and on a quick walk through its easy to shrug it off as just another roadside nature park, but if you stop and take it all in its incredible. Pay attention to whats around you. I spent a good 20 minutes sitting on the largest boulder listening to the birds, eagles buzzing right over head screeching...
This is a pretty good hike for those that even with pain like I have it was a good hike for me and my dog to go on just to relax and do the hike at our Pace not very many people out there not very many and you know pushing us to get this go and go and get out of the way it was just a wonderful hike that worked out perfect I would recommend this park off of Aumsville highway just for the height and then theres a bathroom there even so youre not have to worry about you know if your got to go potty stop go to the bathroom and then Yeehaw youre doing the hike
Its creepy. The woods are. There decent pathways but theres all sorts of wildlife. I identified two of them being Blue jays, and Chick monks. There might be snakes, and beavers. Probably insects like Ants, and Beatles. No poison oak or ivy; however, Im not an expert. I saw a Marion county sheriff patrolling the area. The restroom seemed to be in working order.
Gorgeous forested area and not busy.
Closed, no parking in front of gate. Parked a little aside & walked grass path around the outer edge of the woods & came backWoods looked nice, seemed to be small paths around in there. Its mid-April so I was surprised the park was closed. Remote enough COVID shouldnt be an issue.
A great little forested park, has places to go on walks and space for dogs to run
Small confusing path that broke off into dead ends. One trail might have gone off into the field? Not really sure because its not very well marked.
(Currently closed due to covid -19 ...)Nice hike...did one a few months ago here, only a 10-15 min walk good for kids.
Very relaxing and beautiful, especially in the wooded area. If youre a fan of nature and trees, youll love it here. There is a nice spot for a picnic, too, so bring snacks, just make sure to pack out what you pack in so it keeps its beauty. Lots of blackberries ready to eat!
Not, but very relaxing. Short cute wooded walks
Quite outdoorsy please to have sex
Somewhat decent park, nothing to exciting about this small park other than it not being busy
Rural setting. Good place to walk if you dont want real development.
Would have enjoyed it more if I had time to walk around a little more, but my time there was pretty condensed.
It is great way to see how the restoration of the valley looked like before settlers got here
It is an open Hillside. The dog like walking there, however there is not a dedicated dog space. Pit toilet bathroom and no potable water. Come prepared.
Nice nature trails. Gross outhouse.
We personally love this place because its close to our home and the dogs are so happy here. It gets a star taken away because Marion County keeps closing this park. The reasons we like it is...A few small trails in Forest Area, small water stream and a good earthy feeling. Its where we go when theres just enough Sun out in Oregon to hop over the hill and get that Forest Area feeling
I only drove by and Google keeps asking me to review it. It looks small though cant see much just driving by anyway. It looks like you could run your dogs and there are pick up bags and a bathroom.
Walking trail into wooded forest with fruit orchard views. Public restroom, picnic tables and no-fee parking lot.
Great place to hike or walk, take your dog, or have lunch in your car, and watch the deer go walking by.
Very pretty, be careful to clean up after yourself and stay close to the trails. There are some invasive ivy plants, including English Ivy, that are slowly taking over the park. Needs some volunteer crews to come through and clean that out.
Beautiful scenary. Great place to appreciate old trees and our parks.
Not much. Restroom thats closed most of the year. So is the park.
Good place for a walk on enjoy sun set
Kinda strange setup for a park
Nice little place for a short hike
Nice open erea for small wedding
Not enough places to sit down. My feet hurt and theres snakes out here
A parking lot, outhouse and walking trail. No playground or picnic tables.
Dogs are not allowed at Bonesteele Park.
Do place to have lunch in your car or do paperwork, you can see deer out there.
Trash its been cosed for years f**k it
