Great place for walking, pets are allowed if you pick up after them and theyre on a leash. Bicycles are unfortunately not allowed, but thats understandable since they might scare the animals. Theres also a place where you can watch trains go by on their way to Salem or Swampscott. Theres no safe railroad crossing unfortunately but some people do it illegally anyway.

Had a great time exploring the new trailhead from Swampscott Cemetery to Salem State South Campus. Wish the trail signs were a little bigger and more of them. But still a great hike!

Was able to park at the designated lot at Salem State and make my way onto the trail! Parking was a little hard to find, so I included some pictures. And I can legally fly my drone here which is great! Just make sure to stay in the park and not to fly over the college campus.

I bring my 2 labs here often. They love being able to run free and swim in the tide pools and duck ponds. The trails are easily identified and always bring you to somewhere beautiful. This is their favorite place to have fun and mine as well because they can let out so much energy. The only downside is that there are no trash barrels at any entrance to the area so often, dog owners will just leave the business behind. If you see something, pick it up! I want to preserve the beauty of this area so we can all enjoy it for many years to come!

Very beautiful place to walk or bike. The area itself is not that big but this can be a good thing since you cant get easily lost here. Also lots of graffiti on big rock

This is a great little hidden forest right in Salem. Theres some well maintained paths and boardwalks over the swampy bits except one spot that you totally always have to walk through mud.

I love this place so much. Its quite and you can get your dogs free off leash. Unfortunately dear dogs owners are not compliance with picking up natural dog waste. Every time I go there I pick up not only my dogs pop but any I can found, so one day I ended up filled out full grocery bag of pop bags!!! People do not appreciate beautiful places we have

Plenty of trees, picnic tables, and most of all a pool. The pool is open to Salem Residents. It has a life guard, bathhouse, and pool water instead of the old sea water. Great place to gather and have fun in.

Ticks! Yes as of today, Friday April 19th 2019 I found ticks on me off the main trail. Its about 68 degrees out.Other words of caution: Careful crossing the commuter rail train tracks. It flys and wont be able to stop until after it hits you.... If they notice. The boardwalk is 4 off the ground off the salt marsh into muck, so dont fall in lolTrails were nice, nothings blooming yet but its so warm it was nice to meander the area. There are Geo Caches here. Saw a group hunting some

Great little trail for a 30-minute meditation. But watch out for jerks who dont follow leash laws with their dogs, as well as broken glass from stupid partiers at the top of the hill.
