Still as cool & fun as when it opened 5 years ago! $12.50 worth of fun playing old games and recent but loved the shuffleboard game! Very responsible with safety protocols, registered playing times and ample windows of play time (2hrs). Recommend the rooftop views and koi pond!
Good games, a lot are out of order most of the time but overall the games are fun for what they are.Person upfront who said their name was “Prence” or something was kinda lazy though.Sat in their butt playing on the computer while we all play then let’s us out once the time is up.They should be helping customers and talking to them instead of being on their social media on the up front computer. Not to mention their lack in kindness and conversation.Sorry, but I’m coming back until that lazy worker is either coached or let go.
I would give a much better review considering how well the place is. But unfortunately, every time I go in, the person (I remember they went by the name Prince or something) at the front counter is always on the work computer up in the front, I remember seeing them from a far listening to YouTube watching videos and on social medias when they should be working/talking to people. The only time I see them really do much of anything is when people come in, they’ll look up and say hello and let them in and such, but then that’s basically it.They also have an attitude, I’ve seen it happen once when they rolled their eyes at a customer and laughed under their breath.I’d recommend this place highly if it wasn’t for that one worker. I’ve been here a lot this here with family and I’m very unhappy to make this negative review considering how nice of a place it is seeing how boring Roanoke can be.It’s a fun place, but a not-so-great worker...
Great place for a family to play some old games. The staff is great and extremely helpful.
Im not gonna lie I came in with the mentality of just finding a spot to park my behind while my kids had fun, pinball has never been interesting to me, and just by for starters the staff by the door, they were so fun and attentive, engaging with the children and we shared a few laughs then i proceeded to have a lot of fun for the next 2 hours!!!! Pinball machines of all kinds, other vintage games and even we played smash bros... all Covid19 social distancing guidelines enforced, great space, great place and im glad I gave myself a chance to have fun... erm... my kids did too ... i will certainly be back... oh... i mean... WE!!! WE will be back...
Good selection of older and newer games. Not the biggest or the best museum I have been to, but definitely worth stop.
This place is amazing! Staff is super friendly and they have an awesome variety of tables on free play!
There are lots of fun machines here and the limited occupancy means no waiting for the one you want :)
Good variety of both new and old machines very well maintained and cared for. Its all FREE PLAY for a $12 day ticket. The place is clean, friendly staff and they have snacks! Great place to hang out with a few pinheads...
Had fun here with the family, was a fun 2 hours that flew by!
Very cool place with a mix of modern and old fashioned machines! Well worth the visit
Awesome place, Prince the employee there was very nice, knowledgeable and helpful.
Fun place, free parking can be challenging though
Went with a friend for am evening. Great deal -$12.50 for all day (leave and return) and all machines on free-play. Play as much as you like. Favorites from our school years, early (early!) games, and new tables. Owner is welcoming and has great ideas for continuing to improve this gem. Looking forward to going back.
Most fun I has with 3 hours downtown
Super cute place with free play on pinball machines. Really nostalgic had a blast
This is great fun for any age. From nostalgic fun seekers to young kids, you will have fun here.$12 gets you unlimited access to a ton of different and unique pinball machines for as long as you can play. I would recommend anyone to spend an afternoon here.
AWESOME. Visit every year.
A fantastic place to go spend a few hours. The cost is fair considering how many machines there are and the ability to leave and come back as you please on the day of admission. I would definitely recommend this.
I love that you can see the evolution of pinball here! There are really, really old machines (pre electric) and tons of cool vintage ones from the hey day 70s era of pinball. Admission is reasonable and the dark retro vibe is awesome! I love their Roanoke landmark tees and the Pinball Wizard tees, too! Great way to spend a cold or rainy afternoon.
This place is AMAZING! Dont waste your money on the joint ticket to the arcade, spend all of your time in the pinball area! 4 hours later, still didnt play every machine. Cant wait to go back!
Whether youre an older pinball enthusiast or a youngster who only knows video games, you got check out these machines. IMO, although its aptly named as a Museum since all pinball eras are represented, it doesnt do justice to the experience of playing them, as well. With exception of a few that are for display only, theyre all set to free play since its included in the nominal cover charge. Hours will fly by without you noticing... youll have a blast!!!
A real buried treasure. A Hidden gem of a place. Great machines. From the late 50s/60s to more modern. Any Pinball fan would love it!
Lots of new machines, it was fun.
Husband, daughter (7) and son (10) loved it. They were not tired of it after a couple of hours of playing. Definitely worth trying out of traveling to the area.
Brought my son here for his birthday. He loved it. The additional $5 for the arcade area is totally worth it. Staff was all super accomodating and sweet. Very much recommend. For any age really, my son is 23 :)
Absolutely LOVE the museum. PINBALL machines are the GREATEST GAME EVERWill definitely be back ever time Im in the area
Such a great place for an afternoon of fun. Definitely worth the admission price. I stayed there for almost 3 hours. Most of the machines were operational and they have a good variety of older and new machines. Very nostalgic place, so much fun!
Went on a weekday, first time visit and had a great time. Lots of old and new machines. Had a blast. Most of the time we had the place nearly to ourselves. Courteous staff and fun times. Loved that they had a couch or two to rest on in between playing games. Check it out!
Fun, fun, fun! Loved the variety of old and new that they had.
Ask for Nick, he us amazing!
Great selection of games at a play all day price. All kinds of oldies, and not so old. There were several that were inoperable.
Great variety of machines! Interesting vintage machines, with features I had never seen before. Great to pay one admission fee then not have to insert quarters or tokens into each game. Will definately go again!
Im a member of the pinball museum and the variety of machines they have is really good. Also the staff are vety friendly.
It was a lot of fun!
This place is amazing and has an array of different pinball machines for the pickin. The owner was extremely friendly and didnt hesitate to talk to us about a unit he was rebuilding as we love the components that make the machines come to life. This place was packed with enthusiasts playing pinball machines from decades past. You should visit here!! I know I will definitely be going back!
Was slightly disappointed. I took my 6 year old grandson to see the pinball museum and they didnt have any stool for young children to stand on so they could play. He ended up playing a game set up on their TV. I say this is not the point of a pinball museum. Also many of the machines were not working. It was interesting seeing all the old pinball machines though. Fixing those things would make it more worth the money.
I love this place ! I came down to Roanoke for vacation and found this Gem ! Great place with a lot of nostalgia! I add it the double Play and for $17.50 I got the Pinball Museum & The Starcade. What a great time.
This was a blast and brought back a lot of memories. They have several other games that were popular in the arcade in addition to several classic pinball machines. $12.50 per person and play as long as you want any and all of the machines. Plan on spending about 2-3 hours to get the full experience. Longer if you really enjoy playing pinball machines.
Somewhat interesting span of pinball and installation arcade games. A bit pricey for what you get, but will fulfill that childhood fantasy of never needing another quarter or token. $12.50 gets you the day at this well-maintained house of fun.
I highly recommend this place. I cant wait to go back.
Excellent place to visit. They have a wide variety of pinball machines spanning the decades. Since you just pay an entrance fee you can spend as long as you want playing all the machines.
Went with group of adults and had so much fun and manager was awesome!
Got a Groupon for two tickets and it was well worth it. Played pinball machines I havent seen in ages.
Pay one price and play as long as you like. This is not something I would normally do, but glad I went. Was an enjoyable time. My dad loved the older machines, said it took him back to when he was a young.
Great way to spend an evening with friends.
Awesomely fun.....took me back to the arcade dayz
Great clean fun for the family or by yourself!
I could spend all day here. Well maintained machines. The parties are awesome. We loved it so much the first time we got a family membership. Great deal
The Roanoke Pinball Museum has an excellent selection of pinball machines covering vintage, classic and modern games. RPM is more of an arcade than an actual museum and it includes a high score board. Most games were in excellent condition especially the play fields (considering some games are at 35 - 50 years old). The only negatives are the lack of history on classic pins and several older pins had very week flippers. There were flipper issues on games such as Black Knight (ball lock was not working either) and Wizard (right flipper has to work properly due to the nature of the play field). Again, these are the only complaints and RPM has done a great job of keeping games in tip-top shape, especially for how much pounding they take in an arcade setting. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Finally, there were at least two people working on pins. Keep up the great work!
We had a blast exploring the museum and playing all the vintage machines and games. It is easily somewhere where you could spend a whole day and a great family friendly activity.
Such a fun place. Lots of machines from all time periods as well as a few other fun machines. Definitely worth the low price of admission for a few hours of fun.
Unlimited pinball. What could be better... besides free cookies.????
I have lived in this area for 25 years I had heard of the Pinball Museum in downtown Roanoke for the last few of those years. A friend of mine finally convinced me to go visit I had a blast! What a great value that you could pay the door and mittens one-time play for a few hours leave go have some lunch and then come back and play some more what a great idea I hope this has been a wonderful addition to downtown Marketplace and I hope it stays for a very long time
Pretty awesome place, but can be a little crowded around the machines at times
Allow as much time as possible! You wont want to leave. There are numerous machines from the early days of pinball to late model machines with many many bells and whistles. We went on Friday and played any machine we liked with no lines. We highly recommend you visit here!
The Roanoke Pinball Museum was awesome! They have around 50 machines ranging from the 1940s to current machines. Unlimited play on most machines is included in your $12.50 admission price. We went on a Friday afternoon and had no issue getting plenty of play time
What an amazing experience! Pinball machines of all ages and types. it was really a thrill to play machines from the old days. The floor staff was very helpful and friendly - even when we had to tell them that I got a ball stuck. $10 general admission was worth every penny and then some. Will definitely return when we are in the area again.
Good variety of games, but several were out of order. Slightly more expensive than most one-price arcades. They have Black Hole and Haunted House multi-level pinball games. I had fun.
I LOVE this place! Its a good spot for the whole family. Aimee was very helpful when I rented the spot for my sons birthday party - she even stayed after hours to help me with the set up and break down! They are making A LOT of changes and always bringing in new machines. They also have appreciation events for members, other public parties with live music, and they are spreading the love of Pinball in Roanoke.
If you haven’t yet visited, do yourself a favor! The Roanoke Pinball Museum is one of the best kept secrets in the Valley. An amazing assortment of dozens and dozens of machines from the ‘40s through today, as well as vintage arcade games... this place rocks!
Really cool way to kill some time and play pinball machines. Definitely something to check out when youre in Roanoke!
If you are in Roanoke, dont miss this place. $12 entry and unlimited pinball. About 50 machines from the 60s to the present. Definitely worth the stop. The family had a blast!!
My wife and I were on a forty-year-old anniversary jaunt up to Roanoke for the Pinball Museum had a great time but several hours
Excellent for nostalgia, all kinds of machines from prototypes to modern.
If you live anywhere near this place and havent gone you are missing out. There are dozens of pinball machine from every generation. Its fascinating to see how they have changed over the years including their technical, mechanical, and angle which I personally think highlights the commercial and economical aspects of the pinball industry. They have plans where you can pay a flat prove and play for as much as you want. They also have a few other activities including an old school vs arcade with frogger and Galiga and a Nintendo switch with support smash brothers. This is the perfect place to take your date or wife to just have soon he fun together.
Lots of fun for the entire family. Pay the price of admission then free play on hundereds of pinball machines. If you enjoy pinball games then this is an absolute must for you!!!!
Great place to go play some vintage machines and current ones. If you love pinball, this is the place to go.
Kids had a blast
I love this place. You could spend hours here playing for free and reliving your youth. My kids even loved it. Well worth the trip. We purchased a year pass.
A great afternoon of fun. They have machines a huge variety of machines from different decades. A great experience!
A wonderful homage to a native art form. Ask the very knowledgeable staff to show the technology that powered the machines in the age before microchips.
This place is awesome! I brought my two teenaged kids here, both of them naturally skeptical about doing anything fun their parents had to offer, and we had a hard time pulling them away. I even found a copy of a much beloved pinball machine my dad owned and I played incessantly while growing up! Get the Whole Day Pass that includes the pinball museum. It is good for one entry per museum but can be used at any time in a 6-month period.
Awesome time at Pinball Museum. We will be going back.
Wow what fun this place is. Theyve got all kinds of pinball machines to play. From the old nondigital 50s machines to the real fast newer digital ones. Yesterday the schools were still closed which meant there were a lot of people there. We found no one would stay on any partcular one too long which translates to no long waits. Once on your on its yours for as long as you want.
Some vintage machines, some modern and once you buy your ticket, no quarters required!
Fun. Nice to see old school pinball games. Wish all were working.
Pair this with the starcade and you could spend an entire day of fun here!
Great very fun place to visit lots of fun and free to play(except for admission fees) pinball machines
Lots of old time pinball machines. Unlimited play.
Hard to fine pinball machines in arcades anymore and this was a treat. This was our 2nd trip and they had many new and vintage machines. Priced reasonably for unlimited play. MY forearms were sore the next day!
