Youre such a nice pleasant place for a big city me and my girl loved it
Because Ive lived in this area for 20 years and I have beautiful memories and wonderful pictures
Its a special place.
Very quiet out of the way park great for a family gathering where you dont want the entire city involved.
I love thia go thete all the time
I settled on three stars because it really depends on what you do here.First off, some people are getting the place confused with mason mill park, that place is close by and has the big spillway in the pictures. East gate park however, has two sides, the playground side and the creek side.First, the playground side. This is where google maps will take you. It has a huge field with a playground, a covered thing for pinics and stuff, and some bathrooms. Its good, but as a hardcore fisherman, I thought that to get back to the creek you had to go across the field and trek through the woods. I WAS DEAD WRONG, LITERALLY. It took a lot of bush wacking, and coming across some old tent stakes and bottles, we eventually came across a tent. We immediatly turned around and sprinted outta there!Okay, now for the creek side. This is that little parking area near mason mill park with access to the creek. First off, the scenery was beautiful, but this place had some quirks too. First, we found another tent, this one seemed to be not inhabitated, with only some toilet paper stuck in a tree. We fished there for a while and also encountered three bucks (one being almost a ten pointer) running behind us with a dog and beagle running in pursuit. About 15 seconds later, one of the bucks was trying to scale the rock face in front of us and failed. Lets just say it was an interesting day. I will let you decide the star rating by that...
Nice little park with trails along.the creek. They stock for trout and have swings for the kids.
Actually it was Tinker Creek. Not a bad place to fish peacefully.
It was great... It always has been. Have been going there since I was a kid. Now I take my children and grandchildren.
Trash on ground
This is another place my husband and I meet weekly.
Great small park with a very large open field
Great, quite, family friendly park with awesome fishing areas
Great out of the way park, never too crowded and usually easy to get use of the pavilion with tables and grills for cooking out, just by showing up. Though you can reserve in advance. Safe playground equipment for the kids.
