Ive always loved these older homes in Kentucky. Yet to go inside of White Hall but I love the surrounding area of the house.Learning as I went and enjoying its Beauty. I never knew about the Stone Kitchen or Garden Club until I strolled behind the House. The Garden Area would have to be my Favorite spot with the sun-room over looking it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to White Hall over the 4th of July weekend. Our guide Stephanie did a fantastic job in the telling of the history of the home and of Cassius Clays life. She answered all our questions and was very passionate about the home and its history. We were all pleased that we had made this a stop on our travels. You should make this a stop when visiting this area of KY. You wont be disappointed Thank you, Stephanie for a wonderful visit.

The House and Historic artifacts were great. However, I felt the tour was lacking in a lot of areas. The tour guide felt disjointed and was not focused. I wished the Tour guide focused more on Cassius Clay and his interesting life. Like it should have been more chronological and introduce him better. I felt the tour went from one event to the next without explanation.

It was not a very informal tour, I would have loved to actually not be lied to about the slave quarters that are in the basement of the house witch they don’t even let you see anymore by the way...... also she never told us about the daughter who actually stayed with him until he died. The daughter that is seen from time to time in the window upstairs

I love coming to white hall for the walking trail and the fishing. I will say i liked it better when they allowed you to fish after dark. but do to people using the park after dark for sketchy activities they put a stop to that. Still a great place to visit and learn some history while your at it.

This is a hidden gem. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and interacted well with our group. There is nothing like visiting history to get a feel for it. I highly recommend anyone, even non-Kentuckians to visit and learn the benefits to the USA that this family contributed along with their better known friends and colleagues in Washington, DC.

Ive actually never been inside the house which is supposed to be the main attraction. Instead Im rating this site based on the actual grounds which includes a park and a paved walking trail. This place is part of my weekly run routine and depending on the route you take, your run/walk can span over 2 miles before looping back to where you started. The only downside is the lack of shade in the summer months.

To understand Kentucky civil war history, a visit here is required. Cassius Clay was a first cousin to Henry Clay, the famous politician who prevented the Civil War for 30 years. Cassius is perhaps the most famous Kentuckian you have never heard of, with the exception of Martin Van Buren Bates, the Kentucky River Giant.

Beautiful historic mansion full of historic artifacts and even a few ghosts! I participated in a ghost hunt here with KY Paranormal. We were not permitted to use flash photography, BUT were able to video and I used my FLIR and RedPod music box to communicate with/and get pictures of apparitions that are roaming the great halls therein. I am sharing some of my pictures, but if you want to see the awesome videos, youll have to check out my I SPI Ghosts Facebook group page.
