Its a pretty nice spot for a bay beach. It gets good sun much of the year, and theres a great view. The major drawback is that it is too small to accommodate everyone who wants to be there on a hot day. Its definitely best enjoyed when its quiet.
Unlike many other beaches in the bay this one is actually thoroughly clean without losing its natural beauty. This beach is very family-oriented. Its not littered with the perfect people that you see on many beaches. Also its a great place to make a sandcastle.
Its a nice big park and beach right on the water great views of the San Rafael bridge & San Francisco. Me and daughter walk the trails around the park.
Great local spot. I was here a few days ago on a day off from work. It’s a relatively small beach that’s grown in popularity over the years. To the north is Point Richmond where there’s nice restaurants, small shops, and coffee spots. To the southwest of the beach is a hiking trail that is within walking distance. It would be nice if it was an area we could actually swim in, but the water is filled with a lot of seaweed. However, you do get access to some great views of the bay. On a clear day you can see the top of the Golden Gate Bridge. There are no lifeguards here so please be mindful. Other than that, check it out if you’re in town.
Close to home, excellent environment for therapeutic relaxation, nice place to fish and to enjoy family. Wonderful places to see and educate yourself about your historical surroundings. Beautiful!!!
Ive been going to this State Park for almost if not 40 years. And it is sad to witness the vegatation decline. For the past five years Ive been taking pictures of the pines dying and then being cut down. Today I saw four of its oldest trees one of which being its biggest was cut down. I think they were Eucalyptus trees. They had the leaves that smell like the Herb Bay leaves folks put in speghetti .Those trees are no longer part of Richmond Californias heritage. They were beautiful and sent out a pleasant aroma. Not anymore! Whatever the reasons were for cutting them, know for certain, thats a big loss for George Miller/Knox / Keller Beach . Rich Town!
Beach, few visitors, extremely fine sand, beautiful view, no dogs allowed. Feels like a private beach.
This is a small, secluded beach, with maybe 250 or 300ft of sand fronting San Francisco Bay. There are picnic tables and BBQ grilles. Parking spaces at the beach itself are few, but parking along the road is plentiful, and there is another park a quarter mile away that has more parking. The one thing about this place is the persistent smell of the seaweed drying on the beach.
Great place to get out and walk around and see the beautiful water
Parking can be a pain. There is one shower to wash off. Bathrooms are usually gross. Water fountain doesnt work, so bring a water bottle. There are bbq areas but not on the beach. No dogs. No bonfires. The beach area itself is small.Lots of seaweed in the water and on the beach. With all of that said, I take my kids here often. It is a good hot day getaway but gets crowded fast when it is hot.
Grew up in the city and I love going there
Its a nice place to spend some time with my family
Nice place to zen out when Im stressed
Great place for a walk, bike or swim. Would be awesome for a picnic when allowed. Dogs are allowed
Small beach in Richmond. Not usually crowed. Parking is easy and beach is waking distance from parking. Not many peoples. A lot of kids and families. You can see the Rafael bridge and is close to a little town where you can eat something afterwards. Beach is not dirty and it would benefit from a clean up.
Stunning
The beach is quiet and calm compared to most in the bay. The sand isnt very clean and the the water is murky but overall its a decent beach. I take my 2 year old daughter and its always fun. The picnic area has a beautiful view and I am grateful for the rinse area by the restrooms.
Had my sand and seaweed bath...lovely
Beautiful view...the pandemic cant take that away
My favorite beach. Check the tides before you go though!
My grandkids and I Love this beach.
It was beautiful.. weather just right...nice for walks...
Small beach access with rocks on either side. 2-3 picnic areas and a BBQ. Just dirt and sand. There are bathrooms. Its a little rough around the edges but right at the water is small and quiet.
Nice beach spot but no dogs allowed because lots of kids and picnics.
Nice place for solitude, jogging, and viewing.
Stunning view... not many people know about this place... visit the place before it is overcrowded
Love it here minus all the seaweed but other then that I love it
Beautiful spot to enjoy the sand and water.
Nice area friendly people
If you want to walk with your pets, fishing, or just take a break from the city noise this is the right place to do that and is near you have not to drive a lot.
Beautiful, bring your family over and enjoy.
Good place to take your kids for a day of fun in the sun

Its very nice
Love to enjoy the view
Sunsets are nice
A little Beach with a BBQ-Place and where you can go swim in the Pacific Ocean..
Excellent place to relax
Alot of sea weed on the beach and in water. But the water is shallow and safe for a family swim and play in the sand.clean up a bit yourself. Well, need to be a little more vigilant. Somebody took away (stole) my babys favorite dump truck.
Rested here too.
Nice sand (not rough or painful to sand on). A lot of seating for eating and bbqs. Shower and foot shower (I guess) were nice. Water is full of seaweed. I that doesnt annoy you this beach is great.
Nice place to relax for a while, small beachCons: no dogs allowed..
Beautiful views and great trails
If you want to enjoy the hot day never choose this beach. You will enjoy only sea weeds on your body.
Peacefull through the week, but on weekends hard to find a parking spot. They have functional restrooms.
Great views, a bit dirty, busy on hot days
Love this place. Very calming and Beautiful. I would definitely consider coming back here.
Love keller
Nobody took social distancing serious
Nice n peacefully
Not to many bikes on the pedestrian walking trail
I needed air and meditation. It is a good place to gather thoughts.
Nice space, comes with its own soundtrack
One of the best things about Richmond! :) Luv the old tunnel too.
Its a clean place, nice to walk and breath fresh air, feeling in peace.
Relaxing after work. I love this place. Best time Ive been here is around 7 pm so far.
Beautiful spot, great place for a walk and to look the sunset.
Pilar loves chasing the squirrels.
Crowded but a cool spot close to Berkley. Lots of seaweed
Bathrooms were a little scarce due to them being out of order but the overall feel of the park was a relaxed family vibe clean nice cut grass grill was clean made my children feel comfortable with leaving place spotless just how we found it I will be bringing my family back for more outdoor fun
This is the best beach ever I LOVE KELLER BEACH best kept secret in the bay lol not anymore..
Really a relatively nice place to check out
My kids always have a great time
... fun time with someone Im seeing...
Beyond beautiful, quiet secret little area
Awesome walk! Keep going and you will get to abandoned buildings. Great place to take photos.
Had fun with my husband and grandson!!
Nice place to go to avoid a ton of people
Was okay, but I noticed lots of tree off and no new ones to substitute them ! Also the grass looks dry not green the lake looks terrible not clean, Seems going down I dont know y not to many shades I dont understand California living costs growing crazy are so high and the city not doing much I saw two workers running in a little car around doing nothing wasting taxpayer dollars.
Nice little beach to catch some sun and even cool off in the water. Can get a bit crowded on hot sunny days.
If you want to do some bird watching this is the place
Some trash around beach but people were picking up which is great. Just needs to be cleaned from debris that tides pushed in
Beautiful
This place is always been one of the spots for just me time for long time.If you want to go and relax definitely suggest for a visit.
Very nice!!!
What a magical surprise... through a 100+ year-old tunnel to a beautiful view of San Francisco and the Bay along with a hidden beach! There are also adjacent public parks with picnic areas and beautiful views along with plaques noting the historical significance of the area. This is a great find for those who think that theres nothing new to see in the Bay Area.
Awesome beautiful view and very nice locals
I loved this park. It perfect for running.
Had lots of fun here. But the bathroom smells, make sure to bring sandals. And they should add changing rooms
Could use some sanitizing ...
Quiet setting. Great sunsets.
Lovely park with views of the Bay and the San Rafael bridge.
AWESOME
