This is a park I visited as a child, although there was a public swimming pool there back then. Theres a playground with swings that my grandson enjoyed. Also the park is close to fast food places which he also enjoys (typical 11 year old). The park is clean and well maintained.
Came to the park for Renton River Days. Parked in the Community Center parking lot. There is a walk way that goes under the freeway to the park. 1st time there - big park with lots of open area. The attached picture is of the Cedar River along one of the paths you can take. Great park & a great area with lots to do and see.
Great spot to park in order to run the Cedar River Trail. While the skate park and basketball courts are usually occupied, the parking lot has a fair amount of transient activity. I have feared for my personal safety at times, especially when using the porta potties.
A bit on the scetchy side. There are basketball courts, tennis courts, and a baseball diamond as well as a small playground for kids and a public library. But I wouldnt recommend going there after dark orbverybearly morning, its a popular residence for the local homeless/drug user population. The real high point, though, is the skate park section, which has a good vibe and is quite welcoming to those not in the culture. Come mid day, when theyre are lots of regulars to practice your sick bike or board tricks.
Love coming here with my kids they really enjoy the skate park. The public restrooms are not open. There are 2 porta pottys. There is a playground with swings for big kids and littles. Basketball courts and tennis courts. 1 softball field. There is a gazebo next to the playground and skatepark, no tables or benches (bring your own tables and chairs). There is a public library located on the same property. Still closed I believe. Great place. A place for everyone to enjoy themselves who love outdoor activities.
Its what you expect from a little skate park in the city. Theres some fun kids, some rough kids. Adults who have not outgrown a skate park. Safe and fun place.
Great park. Lots of open room to play sports and has a big tennis court where you can have two games going at a time. Plus has a baseball field and a playground for kids. Plus a basketball court.
Good place for all ages
This is the park of all parks! Its got it all. Big grassy areas for football or soccer, basketball courts, softball field with bleachers, tennis courts, a skateboard park, a decent sized playground with swings, and a jungle gym for the munchkins to expend all that endless energy. Also the park has a regulation sized baseball field for league play. With stadium style covered seatingThe park sits next to the library, and the river. It has plenty of benches and tables and grills to bbq. But if you cant grill, theres a Dollar Tree, a pizza joint, a teriyaki joint,(awesome btw), and a Subway all in the plaza across the street to the west. As well as a laundry mat, a salon, a smoke shop and the beauty college. Coffee, a Mexican lunch truck (also awesome) and a convenience store are a block to the north. The bathrooms are usually open in the warmer months and somewhat attended, meaning clean-ish and stocked with toilet paper and if youre lucky soap. But theyre closed during winter months and the later part of fall. This is a great place to take the kids and a great place for picnics or family gatherings or to watch a ball game. Best of all its all free.
Always been my favorite place to go. Walk the cedar river, enjoy the library over the river, play at the park, watch a baseball game and also the skate park is fun to watch. Although it has become a place some homeless have resided recently...but they e harmless. Not drug infested like some homeless make it feel. Still bring my kids there all the time
Real nice big hard ball field with stands, practice field & basketball courts, tennis courts and skate park! Also a short walk down to the cold Cedar River to get your toes wet, or swim. Awesome place.
Love the basketball courts. Great pick up games
Im the heart of downtown renton. Parking is a bit complex during large events but still a great locale.
Beautiful scenery from dusk till dark. You just cant find people so friendly, animals so happy, service with plenty of smile and patience, and scenery so beautiful anywhere nowadays!! If youve never visited, your definitely missing out.
Located downtown Renton Washington this park is not cared for too well but also people dont take care of it lot of homeless people living in and around this area but all in all safe thats not clean not recommended for family with plenty needs.
Its a pretty nice place. Other parts arent as nice, simply because of some of the people that dwell there.
The park itself is alright. My son gets to play and have fun with other children we cant do alot of what we want though such as even just take a lil nap or sit somewhere for a bit without judgement and looks. We are a homeless family so I guess for some people that gives reason to feel alright to judge..we enjoy looking at the samon and walking around nd the fresh air other then that .. it could be better sorry to say..
It has alot to do in the general area. The River is across the street if your kids get to hot after playing at the park. There is the Cedar River trail which has lots of shady places. Then there are the library and the community Center
Great place to bring your dog(s)
We love being able to utilize this park in the daytime. There are many amenities, basketball, tennis courts, play ground, skateboard park, baseball field, bathrooms, and a school nearby that actually uses it for recess daily. Its such a great space to have downtown.
This park has something to offer everyone, baseball, softball, tennis, basketball, kickball, a library, playground, skate park, and benches for people watching, it is also walking distance to the community center, a water park, theater, dog park and walking trails.
Fun time at Renton river days. Perfect park for the event. Parking was a bit tight.
This isnt a park its a homeless hub.
We use the field for softball. The field is very well kept. The seating is good. The dugouts are pretty good also. No roof on the dugouts but well maintained. The bathrooms leave a lot to be desired. I would definitely walk the kids in if they were 10 or younger. Parking is decent.
Nice park for families. Its also convenient that there is library right there.
This park has both a playground and skate park. When we stopped by there was a BMX event going on, which was very fun to watch.
Has a very nice child friendly playground, skate park and grass field. Bathrooms are available but they close after dark. Next to the library and beautiful river.
Great place to bring the kids. Library is right there, huge playground, bike trails.
Nice place
Just took the baby to the fair I thought it was a little empty they could use a little more
Pretty small playground. But it wasnt bad. Kids enjoyed it. Just wasnt comfortable with a group of homeless people, just sitting and watching the kids. They werent there with kids, hence the uncomfortableness
Its a good choice when you need a nice place for energy kids
Fun ramp for scooters w playground and walking trails.
Nice park with basics. Love the basketball court with multiple hoops.
Great place for the whole family. Awesome setting.
Tennis courts are very popular and busy. Wish the lights would work. Not sure why the lights over the baseball field are going strong and the tennis courts are like a dark alley
Good place to visit and stretch the legs, stuff for the kids to run around and play.
I love the tennis courts here at Liberty Park. The lighting is great and everything feels smooth
Plenty of space. Skate park, baseball diamonds, tennis, basketball courts, parking, benches and tables.
I love this parks huge opportunity for anything youre looking for whether it be fields to play on or toys for the younger ones Its clesn and it has bathrooms!!AMAZING
Nice park except the bathrooms were locked.
Nice place for a morning run..big play area for da kiddos..
My friend works there inside the Library one of my friends is security at the library I enjoy that place the park is fun I take my kids down there I enjoy going to the library my friends name is Emily
This is The Master Park of all parks. I grew up going to this park and it has everything including the ceder river. Perfect for athletes and families or even the occasional party. Library is there spanning the river...ahhh, Renton in the summer.
Play fields galore..seating..lots! And kiddie playground equipment. Very safe..clean and accessible
Just to name few things about Liberty Park: Basketball, Tennis, typical (old) kids play area on bark, Renton Public Library, Cedar River which runs into Lake Washington about 1 mile away, baseball fields with 1 being stadium, old down town Renton and Renton Community Center located blocks away (in opposite directions), location of Annual Renton River Days...
Great time river days awesome more porta potties!
Great city park - when you have nice weather.
Plenty of room to entertain, play catch and walk around.
Have a great time with #ACCESS #BBBSPS and #PIXELPARLOUR
Great skatepark, we happened to be there on Renton River Days, which was really fun!
Commemorating the US soldiers who gave it all to protect and provide the liberation of the Vietnamese People!
One of my favorite parks up in the Renton Highlands area.
Its a nice play ground has library..But have bathrooms issuee
Enjoy myself there is so much to do
Having great time at RentonRiverDays, awesome community event.
Great pla e for an early morning jog, even if its a little dark. Be sure to use a helmet light to see by.
I loved this park
Excellent job putting on renton river days
Good place to have fun!
This is a good public park. Basketball courts, skate park, jungle gyms. There are lots of good safe spaces to hang out and entertain. Several outdoor events get setup here each year too. This area stay surprisingly clean and never feels terribly crowded.
I had a really nice time there
Nice dwntn park near the senior center
This is a nice little playground. Its right next to the Renton library. There is a huge ball field right there. Standard playground equipment including swings (baby swings as well). Not a far walk down to the cedar river. Can view it from bridge by the library.
Great park, Free parking, tennis courts, basketball, baseball, soccer fields. Close to library. Skate boarding park, public bathrooms. Well manicured, picnic tables.
So fun. Nice and large and lots of cool bowls, pipes, and ramps!
Thankful to live in this country and enjoy liberty in the splendor of the park topped off a trip to the most amazing library nearby.
Nice park, the library is right there as well as a skate park. There is also a baseball diamond, tennis courts, gazebo, and there are bbqs during the summer. Theres even public restrooms.
Nice kids play area. Ample parking space. Swing for kids to adults. Picnic area tables etc. Next to library & on the banks of cedar river. I enjoy spending my summer evenings.
It was nice a lot of open space
Its an OK place not the safeist to take kids lots of druggies and more
This place is like any other skatepark its not super great but not super bad either come with friends and hangout....
Its really nice there except sometimes there are people there that smoke marijuana so it smells like it but it is a really nice park.
Very beautiful lots of amenities near by
Beautiful place to walk holding hands
Field is bumpy and infield is hard as a rock. Bring catchers gear to slide in. Facilities are quite lacking as well. Also missing copper wiring right now due to crack heads stealing it for whatever money they can get
Very good basketball court
I really like that my 5 year old can come here and have a great time.
Tennis and basketball courts, baseball field, playground and skateboatd park all near the library and Cedar River Trail!
Good little park and has a fun skate section for the kiddos!
Very nice basketball courts
Good food, great service, clean, good atmosphere!
Great place to play tennis but we need backboards. Maybe I should hold a fundraiser.
Cool place, Renton River Days was packed full of vendors and live music - no beer garden = lame. The skate park is rad. They have some good basketball courts as well as a tennis area.
Renton River Days is always fun
Awesome well kept park in the heart of Renton. Great basketball courts and tennis, i think they have night tennis here. Also a great skate park, deep bowls.
The park has basketball courts, tennis courts, kids playground, picnic tables, baseball field and open spaces.
Just your basic park has baseball, basketball, play ground, skate park
Just a local small open patch of grass for local residents of Liberty Ridge
Great park. Well maintained. It has lots of sports areas, it has your traditional baseball and football fields, basketball, hand ball, and tennis court. It also has a pretty big skate park. (It also has a lot of Pokestops ;) )
Nice clean park with a beautiful Library onsite. Liberty Park features a nice size Tennis Court separate from the Basketball Court, two fully functioning Baseball fields, & Skateboard ramps for skateboarding off to its own. I was very pleased to see a mens/womens bathroom, but didnt go inside to view them. I have a phobia about public bathrooms .
Kool park for anything just becareful because sometimes youll see trash or etc in random spots in the park.
A really nice place
It is always a pleasure to visit Liberty Park, especially during the community events held there. A great place for families.
Its a cool court to hoop
Lots of activities in the spring and summer going on. I love hearing the kids play and knowing there is a public well lit area for them to go to.
