Great resting place for a great artist. It is easy to get to but I believe the lock up the access at dark. You could still park on the road and less than a minute walk be there.

Spectacular tribute to one of the greatest. Do not plan on spending more than 15 to 20 minutes here. It is a memorial, not a museum. Keep a sense of respond you will be fine. Many leave gifts / tribute in memoriam.

An incredibly reverent, serene place to pay homage to the man who made the guitar weep, wail, and sing--and we wept, wailed, and sang along. The purple flowers and pagoda are well-maintained, and visitors are always quiet and respectful. A lovely place for a lovely man.Remember to bring a guitar pick to leave as a tribute!

Because its Jimi, it will be 5☆ forever. They did a beautiful job on the Memorial. It is a must see for all Jimi Hendrix fans, and in my opinion, music lovers alike, to come and pay respect to one of guitar pioneers of a new generation. I hadnt been up since before it was completed, it was a crisp, chilly day, but with the sun and blue skies above made it perfect. The area is well maintained and easily accessible, its a great way to reconnect yourself to the history of our area, to become centered and feel one with the music that paved the way for generations to come, you dont have to play within the confines of the instructions included in the crazy game of life, omg...what I would have given to have been able to see him play live. R.I.P. Jimi! #Forever27 #27Club Gone, but never forgotten.

I grew up with Jimi. He influenced so many guitar players. Even me.I experienced Jimi Hendrix through his music. Like many others we all grew up with Jimi. His memorial is put together better than I could ever believe. No worries about the straights cause they kinda liked him too.I cried....

As a teenager in the 1970s, I listened to Jimi Hendrix music and had a box set of all his albums.I was in Seattle for two days and decided to ride buses 101 & 105 to the Greenwood Memorial Park so I could respect the great musician Jimi Hendrix. By chance it was the 48th anniversary of his passing from this world. I met other people at the memorial who informed me of the significance. The memorial grounds and structure are well cared for. Theres water and vases for flowers. There are no toilets on site. You might find one at a fast food restaurant nearby.

James Marshal Hendrix was, in his little time on Earth, the greatest guitar player that modern time has ever seen. The memorial was beautifully done. I will show photos of how the memorial is actually built. There are also his Grandmother and his father buried here. One other note is that he belongs to 27 Club, along with Janis Joplin, Kurt Cobain, Robert Johnson and Jim Morrison, just to name a few. The cemetary where Jimi is buried is : Greenwood Memorial Park, 350 Monroe Avenue NE, Renton, WA. 98056, memorial id 471. Hope you enjoy the photos!

There are no words to describe the cosmic vortex aka Jimi Hendrix Memorial. Just go and feel the love of the Cosmos. Its as if you can feel in your soul the raw energy of every song Jimi ever sang/played there, especially One rainy wish/Little Wing/Castles made of sand. But its so much more than that...

A memoriam so honorable that you are in a Purple Haze of belief that an Angel came down unto me and told me about the sweet love between the moon and the deep blue sea. Arose from that was the Spirit of Jimi Hendrix playing his ballad about his mother. Then he said dont worry, both of our mothers are watching over me. And I said spread your wings Jimi and fly on Angel, fly on. Thank you Amen.

I love Jimi and I visit him at this memorial often. What I enjoy most about this memorial is how relaxing the experience is. There arent any gimmicks, its just a place to come and pay respects and enjoy moments with such an amazing artist. Whenever I visit there are little trinkets and memorabilia left by fans and admirers. Ive left a few things myself and I honestly feel as if Ive connected to him even more by doing so. The key to enjoying a memorial is to get out of it what you so choose to. If you decide its depressing and not representative of what you personally believe it should be, then thats what youll experience. As for me, I choose to enjoy it as just another part of The Jimi Hendrix Experience!Peace and love!

If youre in Seattle and youre a fan, you should definitely visit. Not terribly out of the way or difficult to find like some grave sites. Even if your intention is to visit and then drive back to Seattle, youll probably only lose an hour or so to take it in. If youre driving from Seattle to Snoqualmie or Mount Rainier, its a simple stop on the way.

This is a high quality memorial for a high quality musician. It is easy to find and you can drive a vehicle right up to a paved circle around it. The design is open yet intimate, with many visuals to enjoy, and people leave picks and trinkets there. I visit often as I live about two miles from the cemetery. Its a fitting upgrade from the original location with a flat metal marker a few hundred feet away.

Jimi Hendrix is and always will be an icon. Arguably the greatest guitar player of all time and gone from this place we call human existance. The memorial is located directly across from Renton Technical College with easy access off of Monroe. Your GPS should take you right to his gravesite and his big, beautiful, memorial, mine did.Anyone visiting the Seattle area needs to pay their respects and come here for a quick visit. If this was helpful, please click on like for me, thanks.
