Very nice place for a walk, relaxing, with ponds and trees and connected to long trails in the area.
Its sad to say that such a beautiful park has gone dead. Im not sure if its because of the summer time or what, but the water fountains were off and the puddles were awfully stagnant. I give it a three star because the trail through the Waterworks Garden is pretty nice. And there are flowers all around and its very green.
Cute little park. Came there for the grotto and ended up walking along the river.
Excellent walking path. Interesting features. Really cool idea for water reclamation. Audio tour available. See signs.
Nice little secluded spot off the beaten path. Nice art Deco, curvy trails, lots of birds, and rabbits, even seen some gold fish floating around from time to time depending on the water levels. Dog friendly, and free dog bag stations, well maintained, peaceful place, information plaques about structural designs, never have I one ran into another person, other than park maintenance changing out the trash. Definitely a little peaceful Haven.
It wasnt easy to find but well worth the hunt. We happen to be in the area and looking for an off the beaten path to for walk. This place met the all the criteria.
An interesting trail that is a challenge to get to as there is no parking lot. We went from the higher elevation around the treatment plant on a paved trail to the lower end. Smell was mild. A cute story is posted along the trail. Called for a Lyft when we got to the bottom because we werent up for climbing the hill back to the car.
I like taking walks here. It helps me unwind.
Very natural park with a different landscape design areas, wish someone would restore it to its original beauty the way it was created earlier
This is a cool piece of infrastructure which tells a story itself.
This was a fun little place to bring my 6 year old daughter. We walked the network of paths for a while and were privileged to see a little wildlife. Cool place with some hidden spots with interesting masonry.
Nice walking trail but its one direction and doesnt naturally loop back. Love the stone art. Too many mosquitoes though.
Nothing really special. Nice place to walk. Only one parking area on Oakesdale at Monster Rd with room for just four cars.
Was looking for a quiet park to walk through, this park felt like it hasnt been visited in a long time. We felt kinda creeped out.
Could be very nice. There was no water though
There is only 4 parking spots pretty far from the park itself (on monster) so by the time we realized we were literally being swarmed by mosquitos (seriously this place has giant mosquitos that go THROUGH your clothing) we were basically stuck walking through the park to Grady and back to the car (read: more time walking on the main roads with speeding cars and exhaust than in the park itself). There was very little signage in the park so you had to guess on which ways to turn. One end of the park definitely smelled like hot sewage. Definitely no spots to stop and sit. While I enjoyed seeing all the wild bunnies and the spots with cool tiling (Though its been poorly maintained) we wont be exploring this park again. I wanted to love this park because of the eco features but it was a huge miss on being enjoyable. My *several* dozen mosquito bites (for a 25 minute park trip) should be a warning to anyone considering visiting.
Went and visited this park as for a sent of parks located in the Valley Cities Geotour. Finding the Geocache was fun, but seeing this unique and different park was better! If you are looking for a bit of fun, you should consider doing the Geotour as it will take you across Auburn, Kent, Renton, and Maple Valley. You will find little gems like this park that you didn’t even know was there!
My new secret garden, not so secret anymore. Just inside the north end a colorfully tiled grotto embraced me with a sense of whimsy & wonder. Following the east fork of the trail led me down flat trails through a nicely varied collection of ponds and natural ecosystems. The trees and plantings hide the roads, giving the sense one is in deep nature. Ill be going back soon to walk the other trail.
Meander your way through the various outdoor rooms of this 8 acre site and experience firsthand the important role ponds, marshes, and wetlands play for filtering our urban storm water. Along the way you will witness the confluence of art, technology, and nature in a unique way.
Nice place for a momentary look at nature on your bicycle.
Fun hidden park to explore.
This place is beautiful but feels a bit dilapidated. The signs could be cleaned up a little bit and some labels could be added to the plants. That being said the place has some beautiful art work. I also took a star away because the garden has English ivy in one part. English ivy. Purposefully. English ivy is an invasive species in Washington.
Really cool hidden spot!
Lovely Place to take a walk
