Gorgeous place to come hike. There are bathrooms and perhaps the best signage Ive ever seen in a park! Love the fact that theres so many interconnecting trails, you can go for as long or as short of a hike as you want. If I lived in the area Id go there all the time.
We took the Shangri La trail from here, which worked for our kids ok, specifically for 1.5 years old on a stroller. Parking was plenty. You’ll be mostly walking in dense forest which is beautiful, but then you also have the viewpoint from where you can ser Sammammish lake. There are also picnic tables at the viewpoint which is great (these are also reservable)
Few nice well groomed and easy hikes to choose from but couldn’t find a garbage can anywhere. So there was a fair amount of litter in piles by people who I guess just gave up.
Well-maintained, interesting trails in beautiful woods. Plenty of well-marked trails to choose from if you want to extend your route!
Lots of trails to take, all where well maintained. Be sure to bring boots, it can get a little muddy! I would love to come back in the summer. One thing to watch for is trail runners, the path can get a little tight, so be sure to let them pass.
Watch out for trail runners on the main paths. Nicely maintained trails, mostly woods.
Parking sucks, but the rest of the park is beautiful, varied terrain hiking, with goid signage and some cool sights.
Great workout ️
Hiked here for the first time couple months ago but forgot to review. The trails were muddy then but now they should be clearing up with the constant sun we are getting. Great hike around cougar mountain found geocaches as well on our hike, not much elevation change except one hill but then it flattens out. Beautiful place to take the dog for a walk only meet well behaved dogs and all were friendly! Will be back
I love the scenery out here.
It was a lovely experience. The green was beautiful with lush foliage. The temperature was perfect as well as the view. If you like hiking and trails then come to cougar Mountain. I’m definitely going to return with friends.
Great place to visit. For most trails, you start near the top here but all of them are worth at least one hike. Also, the drive up takes you through an upscale neighborhood with some amazing views of Lake Washington.
We did a short hike up from the transit centre. There is a nice view of Mount Baker from here and also a grass field and some picnic tables. No flushing toilets but thats to be expected.
Nice road goes all the way to the top. There is a nice viewpoint at the very start.
Recommend this trail of you want to feel like you are in nature, without having to drive that far from the city
Easy to access. Plenty of routes. Decent parking. A generally clean and pretty hike. My one complaint is navigation can be really confusing and the signage isnt the best. Luckily I printed out a map before hand.
Very popular with families...not the quietest but good for beginners!
Wonderful trail system. City maintains it well. I like that this is close to town and you can use your phone for gps tracking. I suggest All Trails. You do not have to pay for it unless you want to.
Great trails and views!
Not a great view but it has a decent trail.
Great trails with a huge field. And, Its not crowded
Great spot for a quick hike or trail run. Trails are well maintained, and marked at every turn. They provide maps at the ranger station. Theres a small parking lot that fits about 10 cars. We went after work and were the only car there.
Great access point to Cougar Mountain. I have never actually driven the road to this trailhead, only run to it from another. Starting point on the mountain. However the parking lot looks sizable and there are bathroom facilities along with numerous trail access points in several directions.
Beautiful park
Make sure you check out the view while youre there!
Not much foot traffic up here and a parks pass is not needed. Porta potty is ALWAYS clean!!!
Easy paths with many branches. Abundant wildflowers but stinging nettles, too. Views are of deep forest - very nice for all that.
Great hike with a friend. We were geocaching and found the cache. Good times with good friends.
A good spot to park and explore the trail system of Cougar Mountain. Not too crowded with a enough parking.
Good work on the trails, WTA.
Nice trails, lots of parking, clean bathrooms.
This place is an epic island of calm, hidden just above you.
The parking lot here is a lot less crowded than the others at Cougar Mountain and there are several nice picnic shelters.
Little steep nice hike many options
Trails not very well marked, but a nice walk.
Pretty place for a day hike
Butiful place
Very well maintained trails and parking.
Great hike, fairly level and maintained trails
Million dollar view
There are so many trail options that take off from here...a hike for everyone.
Amazing park.
Lots of trails for hiking, picnic tables for lunch, not far from the city, but youre surrounded by nature.
Great trailhead for quick exercise close in to the city.
Million Dollar View lookout
Great hike, but starting here is a little backwards. You hike down the mountain, then back up to your car. The view is the opposite direction from the hike on the north side of the parking lot. Look for a sign that reads Million Dollar View.
Nice walk, very easy..
Great hiking/running trails. Close, but secluded.
Good trail
Lots of trails to choose from go explore.
Beautiful view
