The Church is magnificent and beautiful. My first time attending mass at this church. The experience was unique and interesting. Mass celebration was good albeit the homily was about things accomplished during this year yet otherwise very good Church parking lot huge with ample parking. It would be nice if the priests greeted the congregation before and after mass. It would be nice if signs were posted showing were restrooms location. My home church is in The City of Glendale, California though I love attending mass at different Catholic Churches.
Mostly good but why is there always so much DRAMA with ladies & their purses at church. Ladies, If you if you are paranoid about people stealing your purse at church, just DONT bring it. its that simple. or leave it in the car . nobody breaks into cars in the church parking lot at St John Fisher- so STOP the drama with your purse . Either leave it at home, or leave it in the car, or if you want to take it with you then leave your paranoia at home. Nobody comes to church to steal your purse. & sorry to deflate you but youre NOT that wealthy anyways . i know the truth.
This is a beautiful church filled with people who have beautiful hearts. The Sunday Mass is a joyful and fulfilling experience. The only drawback to the service is the music director, who treats the service like his own personal trumpet recital.
What a gorgeous church! Have fireside chat series, different ministries. Time for Advent celebration!
St. John Fisher Parish at 5448 Crest Road is a far cry from when I had my first communion and confirmation. In that church there was a tabernacle. Friends and family all came to the celebration of my coming into the Catholic Church. The new church towers over the old church. It has great tall windows that leave a sweet shadow inside the church. The choir was practicing for the 5:30 pm mass. They have some beautiful singers with amazing voices. We took a look around for the tabernacle, but never found it. With the center of our faith not even being present we thought somethings not right here.
Father Francis is great. The choir is amazing and the church community are warm and welcoming to all.
My friends Liza & Amie took me to hear mass at St.John Fisher Church in Palos Verdes last Saturday (6/22/19).It was a wonderful celebration, so blessed & solemn that I felt Gods grace. I love this beautiful church.

Great Parish and wonderful music
When I first came to this church, it was still the original building, first time I came in to a weekday mass in the morning...then I started attending the evening mass and started to become more familiar with the regulars .. I actually REALLY LIKED what is now the old building . The new building is SO FORMAL, .. it feels stiff . And somewhere along the way the regular priest (Sork) apparently saw me as a threat to his leadership...one day after mass (in the new building) after I had been gone for several months on a mission trip, I went into the chapel for adoration...and he sent a few fellows in there after me. ..as if they expected to see me tagging the walls or something..not sure why...Im a good citizen, a civil person, who loves God.... they stared at me for a few minutes and then left. Ever since then I felt uncomfortable going there..although I DO need a spiritual setting, so sometimes I go in AFTER mass has begun and just stand in the foyer and listen to the homily, and pray ..I only stay a few minutes. I dont want to endure the long stare from Fr. Sork. I really do NOT know how we got off on the wrong foot with eachother. I hope he still does not have a grudge against me. Meanwhile, I continue to do my evangelical ministry fulfilling the Great Commission as best as I can. Peter Vander (BA/BA/M.Div)
Great experience. As a traveler I get to go to many churches around the globe. I felt good here, I was impressed by the people, the warmth and devotion of all people.
