I have lived in Charlotte County almost 28 years and this was my first time to kayak on Alligator Creek. I launched at Allapatchee Shores Park and paddled upstream. I thought that was the better direction to avoid houses but after 15 minutes of house after house, I turned back. I was very disappointed. Maybe I should have paddled downstream. But the map showed a lot of development in that direction. I know of better places to kayak nearby. As I took pictures to share with out of state family, I tried hard to exclude houses and docks.
This place will be awesome when the upgrades are finished.
Use to be nice but now has went down hill ever since the county took it over. It does have a small boat ramp for kayaks but is usually rutted out.
Was there 5 minutes before the guy in the house on the corner called the cops on us - my husband and I are 50 years old, we stopped here to rest & eat out lunch at noon on a sat. The officer said the man called because he wanted to let us kno we couldnt spend the night there........?? Lol no idea why they would think we would? Crazy people, cops with nothing better to do.
Cute little park needing attention from Charlotte County. There is a geocache there.
I kayaked for 7 hours and everything was left alone, great picnic area but dock needs rebuilt
It is a beautiful place to be with your friends and family
Kayak launch needs some attention.
I love nature
Nice small park for boat launch and fishing. Not many snowbirds, thats always a plus.
Great spot to throw a kayak in. Beautiful scenery
Great place to launch kayaks
Abandoned Park
Nice
Get out there and paddle!
Its a good little park to put canoes and kayaks in. In a residential neighborhood. Not good for picnics or anything of that nature. Very small
