Amazing place. Tons of fun games and Great pizza! Very affordable beer and food prices. Can’t recommend enough!
Love this place, sucks that they had to close again but see you next year I hope
Whenever I come to Portland this is always on my lists of stops! This is by far the best barcade I have come across. The staff is super friendly, prices are far, food is delicious and games are endless! I would definitely recommend this to anyone who love classic games, pinball and if you love yourself...treat yourself to a Quarter world day!
A very nice arcade with cool ideas. There is a bar in every room, and a different feel for each one. The major room has several new and old arcade games ready to play. They also had a tesla coil show which can play as you play. The lounge has a smaller selection, but nicer tables. They play cartoons on a movie screen as glow in the dark pictures surround you. A great place to relax and hang out. Possibly trade info with time travelers. The game selection is great, and quarterworld has the cool high tech grunge feel of Portland.
My favorite arcade in Portland by far. Their Tesla shows are a must see (current Sundays and Tuesdays). Bar has a wide variety of choices (including non-alcoholic drinks). The space its self is plenty large and I’ve never felt claustrophobic as I have at other arcades. Works great for late night with friends or as a spot to bring kids.
When a fun venue! We went for the pre-party of Star Wars the Rise of Skywalker. The radio station did a lovely job of planning the event and staff at the arcade was friendly and helpful. Great old style arcade games. Well worth it!
Cool spot! They have a lot of awesome pinball games, both new and old. They offer pizza slices and beer. Live that they have an option to use your phone to pay for game play
Cool place. Use to paying a flat fee to play all you want. You have to pay to enter ($1 during the week 3-6, then $3 after 6 not sure about the weekends) and then pay to play. Very good selection there are many more Games than what I posted at least 40 to 50 more. If you are in the area its great to kill time or hang all day. Good happy hour deals too.
Visiting from out of town with two kids, ages 12 and 6. I will say that it was more enjoyable for my 12 year old - he really had a good time playing classic games and pinball. There are some super sized games that my youngest really loved.
Without a doubt the best bar arcade you can go to. If you are visiting Portland, than this is a must go. The games are fun, and they got a lot of things to do here. But if you do come, you have to get their fries. They are the best fries I have ever had.
If this place could get another star more than 5 I would. I had a blast! Closes around 1 though and wasnt expecting that. All kinds of retro arcade games, tons of pinball machines, and so much more. Its a really rad place!
Came here when I was on vacation and loved it. Like the dive bar version of Dave and busters in all the best ways possible.Highly recommend if youve never been before and like vintage/current arcade and pinball machines.
Its a lot of fun kids, adults all alike. Food and drinks are available.Somewhat miss leading as all the machines cost 50c 75c and $1 for 1 game credit even all the pinball machines cost 50c and 75c
SO fun. Service is OK. Havent tried the food. Photo booth. Some machines are old and dont accept the quarters but staff is generally available to help out. I should probably just download that new payment app but just cant do it yet =)
Definitely the hang out spot! Cover is cheap, all ages, reasonable booze prices for the 21 and uppers. The food is good, above expectations, few new game, more more throwback and pinballs, just how I like it. And the Tesla show, I can be a little too loud, ear plugs are provided
Friendly staff, great adult beverages, amazing games, fun environment & decent food.
Decent selection of retro pinball machines and mix of vintage and new arcade games ranging from $0.50 to $1 per play. Multiple rooms with two bars and fresh beer on tap. Keep in mind you have to pay $3 per person cover just to enter. The first game I played was Altered Beast and the first player joystick and punch button were broken...
This place is a ton of fun!! Good prices on food and drinks! A lot of different games to play! Most machines will take quarters/dollars and credit cards. There is a change machine to exchange dollars for coins. Fun environment, lots of pinball!! There is a cover charge, but you can get in and out all night, they give you a wrist band.
This place is pretty awesome I had a lot of fun here with my wife and Friends. I took off one star off of my rating because a lot of the arcades took double what the label said. You cant have that many errors theres got to be some sort of tomfoolery behind that. They got pretty good beer here and really nice employees. A few of their games need to be repaired badly or taken out of service.
Really good selection of newer and classic pinball games. $.50 & $.75 per play kinda $$$. Some machines dont register your coins and some of the classic Arcade games have button/joystick issues and should be cheaper to play. I didnt see the Tesla coil in action so Ill go back to see that.
Love the selection of games and pinball. Pretty good craft beer selection. Happy hour entry fee is a steal
Great place to play arcades and for drink a good beer or other drinks
Had a great time, lots of great arcade and pinball choices. Would recommend to anyone wanting to have a good time with the family or an evening with friends.
Awesome atmosphere! Lots of great games! And live music! Plus a giant Tesla coil!!
Love this place! Old school arcade with a lot of pinball games. They also have a Tesla Coil and have DJs do sets with it as a feature. Really cool to see once but probably not a thing youll enjoy enough to want to repeat the experience. Definitely not for autistic kids, it is very loud and bright.
So many games! Decent pizza. Everything is very clean and well kept!
I had so much fun at this arcade. It had such a great and unique atmosphere. I cant wait to go back.
The Beatles Pinball! Best pin Ive played in years!! Good Times!!
Great for a date night but frustrating because you have to work hard to play some of the games due to wear and tear on the joysticks. Maybe Im just spoiled by the sensitivity of modern technology?
There’s a $3 cover charge, but it’s totally worth it. There are a ton of machines and the atmosphere is so fun. Just plan to spend a bunch of quarters — you’ll want to keep playing!
Amazing. Good selection of drinks. Awesome games. Definitely will be back.
Great place to bring the kids to play games in the evening to kill time. The staff is and always has been, very friendly. Their happy hour food is also a must and you get fresh pressed orange juice on demand when ordered. This place is a gem. Must try.
Great fun! Classic arcade with a great mix of pinball and video games.
Awesome arcade. So many good pinball, vintage and new games. The location looks fascinating. I like the blacklight paintings and wall decorations. The app system for paying for games is cool, but quarters are faster. If I could make game requests I would ask for: Tron Disk & Dr Who Pinball ️
The only thing keeping this place from 5 stars is that a handful of the old games are in total disrepair. Theres a huge selection of games and multiple rooms. The lounge is relatively quiet and has a great pinball selection, while the main room is loud, has live music, and arcade specific experiences like the humongous space Invaders machine.
This place is bad ass! Would love top see something like this in Southern Oregon!
This place is absolutely amazing. It has a great vibe. The thought behind having a place to put your drink next to every game is a great one. I’m an avid fan of pinball and play competitively. I came to check out Total Nuclear Annihilation since this is one of the few places that have it. The game was off the hook. Having played at MANY arcades and barcades I can tell you with 100% confidence that their games are in great working order and much better maintained then most places. Keep up the good work and open a place in New York so I can come all the time!
Its okay. Needs more veggie options on the menu. The floor is weird in spots. Overall hasnt kind of a dingy feel to it. It does have skeeball, though, which adds a couple stars for me.
Fun adult place to feel like a kid... With no kids around
Nostalgia reigns supreme! Hella pinball machines. More pinball than video games but thats what they do. There are some classic video games like Pacman, joust, Burger Time, Root beer Tapper..oh and Beer and liquor too
Great selection of pinball games!
Full of old fun! Plenty of games to keep you occupied for hours. You can use the payrange app to pay for all of the machines which is really great. The staff were friendly and the place was clean. I thoroughly enjoyed visiting. There was also a bar. No minors after 8pm normally.
Good prices, fun games, good drinks. fun for a 40th birthday!
I was blown away coming into this place how many pinball machines they have. Such a variety of really awesome tables. Rad decor and they have a tesla coil they put on every tuesday and Sunday. So worth the visit. One of my top favorite barcades Ive ever been to.
Fun, loved the ping pong room. Large variety of drink options. Friendly staff.
One of the best arcade/bars Ive ever been to. Pinball selection on point!
Pretty good selection of classics as well as a nice atmosphere for gaming. Definitely not a fan of the $3 admission price and 50¢ plays/continues but understand they gotta pay the rent. At the very least itd be nice to see 25¢ continues at some point, but its definitely a solid arcade nonetheless.
Great barcade. Plenty of space for big parties, reasonably priced drinks. Wouldnt necessarily recommend the food. Some of the games are a little expensive, games made before 1995 should not be 50 cents, especially if there is a door charge. Though, dont let that stop you from going. They have an amazing selection of arcade games and pinball all in a large open space with two bars.
Awesome game selection, decent drink prices, tesla coil
Really neat place with some fun games to play. However, having to pay a cover charge then having to pay the high prices for each of the games is a little off-putting.
Really cool place, lots of fun. Some of the staff are not friendly at all. But Jessica who was bar tending was amazing!!! Made the whole experience great will definitely be back- thanks to her for helping make it a great time. Good drinks too!! ️
Decent amount of good old school arcade games.
A lot of well maintained arcade cabinets and pinball machine. We just went to play the games, but the events looked fun too.
If youre going to go to an arcade its better with a beverage
Had a great time. Lots of pinball and many classic games to choose from. Full bar, some bar food. A fun spot where you could easily kill a couple of hours! (-1 star for the several machines that ate my quarters!)
I love this place! So dope and I love watching tessi.
Its fun, family friendly but full bar too for adults which is nice
All time favorite place for date night!! Love the bars, drinks are amazing! Very fun, lax place for a midweek getaway!!
This place is great really good games and a good tap list!
Reminiscing your childhood days while able to consume lots of alcohol is a pretty fun formula. Having two separate bars is very convenient. Lots of pinball machines, many at 50c per play. Went here for the first time during their New Years Eve event and had a great time, although it was so full that it was difficult to move around. It also would be great if they cleaned their games better. Be prepared to get sticky hands
Excellent selection of games and pinball tables. Two bars with good pours and decent bar food. The Tesla Coil show is super cool and insanely loud. 100% worth a visit.
I really dislike coming here for a few reasons. Ive visited twice and both times they were not enjoyable to me due to the poor food quality and price of the games. The food is very below average quality and overpriced. I had the burger and it tasted very bland and not was not very hot. Id recommend somewhere else in the neighborhood. The game selection was actually pretty good but the games were very overpriced. They charge you a 3 dollar cover at all times to enter, and many of the games cost much more than 50 cents to play, which is crazy for retro arcade games. The place has a strange/funk old design that is not very inviting. Id recommend Ground Kontrol if you enjoy retro games and a place that provides fun at a great value.
Had a great time video games and drinks dont get much better than that
Drink is are a strong pour and have great names, but three dollars to get in and most games priced at 50 cents and a dollar to play has it getting expensive really quick. Staff was nice as always, and I love how they converted a old movie theater. Also pinball galore.
Fun place. Low key no pressures.
Fun place. Love the pinball machines.
Part of it smelled like a swimming pool for some reason. Pretty cool place though!
Fun times! Nice spot for a meet up with friends. Food & drink (adult) served here too!
Average for a bar, pretty good for an arcade. Couldnt give five stars though because their old games eat quarters and the staff doesnt care that much.
This is a fun arcade! I love the huge selection of pinball games, both classic and brand new. The kids always enjoy the Tesla Coil lightning bolt show
I wish the games were a bit cheaper, but I guess its worth it because of the great selection; especially if youre a pinball fan. If I were to make one suggestion, it would be to make the music a bit more varied. Playing the same tired 80s hits is kinda cliché. Mix in some modern stuff? Overall, it really captures what made for a sweet arcade back in the day.
Quality machines well kept up. Old theater turned into an excellent barcade. Good drinks, beers, and bar food. Really friendly staff to boot especially Dana. Cool dude. A welcoming environment for all to enjoy oldies and new ones too. Plus some rare ones like Ninja Baseball Batman and Gals Panic II. Playing through Golden Axe the other day on an arcade cabinet was a nice trip down memory lane. Emulators can only do just that. The arcade experience is something really special and distinct. Always worth going out for that experience. QW has harnessed that old magic without being greedy or pretentious. The place has a lot of memories for me over the past nearly 3 years Ive lived here. It opened in April 2016 as I recall. It is a standard for me as a pinball and video game geek. $10 monthly cover pass is worth it if you plan to game 3+ times a month. I cant recommend this place enough. Plenty of food and dive bars nearby as well.
So fun!! Lots of classic games and a wide selection
Fun place to play retro arcade gamesa nice selection of pinball machines and light gun shooters. Its an adult arcade too so there is a stocked bar and grub too. Ill definitely go again.
This place is ok but way over priced. The irony is it’s called quarterworld but it appears nothing is actually a quarter. No doubt they are capitalizing on the fact that it’s SE so naturally us kids don’t know how much arcade games should cost? Ha. If you have the means go to Ground Kontrol downtown. It’s way more affordable with reasonably priced arcade games. and no entry fee.
Chill spot to getting together with folks and catching up. Arcade and drinks!!A++
Sure. Ground control has better machines, but that place is for kids. QW is like actually more fun, better night time barcade experience. Sick of how busy it is? Escape down to tanker for a dive drink with good locals.
Awesome arcade with so many fun options!!! There are two bars here and they serve awesome drinks at a decent price with a delicious menu
Great atmosphere and staff, awesome game selection, and a crazy good new food and cocktail menu! I mean, Mario Party Bowls?! Come on-- that is AMAZING. The attention to detail is SO appreciated. Its a great place to come by yourself, with friends, on a date, or with the fam!
So many pinball machines! Plenty of classic arcade games as well. They even allow minors. We will definitely go play there again. They do charge $3 to get in, which I didnt see on the website.
Perfect place to grab a beer or drink and bring back that nostalgic feeling with classic arcade games. My buddy and I routinely have competitions in Joust. They also have a good selection of pinball machines.
Great place to bring your kid during the day or a date after 8. Good drink selection. Solid amount of classic games, though the buttons sometimes get sticky, probably from the kids during the day.
Play games, drink alcohol, and have fun. What more could you want??
Great atmosphere and layout. Food was good and decently priced. Okay beer selection. Nice variety of pinball/older and newer arcade games. This place needs a Killer Queen cab badly. Dont know how I feel about an entry fee to a barcade where you still have to pay for games. The fee isnt bad, but I would assume a cover charge means everything is on free play. At the very least I would think all the machines would be just a quarter per play, but many of the cabinets are 50 cents or even a dollar to start and a quarter for each continue. I burned up a bunch of money here pretty quick.
So much fun! Must see the Tesla coil show!
Tons of games! Main hallway is all the retro classics (Pac-Man, Joust, etc). Lots of pinball in the main and back room. They even have skeeball and hot shot hoops. 2 bars, and some food selections. Live music often, though skip the “Tesla coil shows”, it’s a ridiculous gimmick and so freakin loud
A lot of fun! The drinks are fun!
If youre really, really, really into Pinball machines then this is the place for you.
Only spent 5 bucks and had a ton of fun. Hoping I can make it back soon! Try F-Zero!
Awesome classic arcade games + pinball galore! My children and I love it!
Awesome joint! Crushed it on some Xmans.
Fun place with good drinks.
It was awesome had fun with my daughter she wanted to show me the arcade I think it is a great place to go and have a few drinks and play game that you used to play back in the day
This place was awesome! Enjoyed the 80s tunes while playing old school arcades. Took me back to being a kid again this time with beer. LoL
Great drinks and a wonderful selection of games!
I. Love. Barcades. Especially when theyre done well. And this place is done very well. The space is really pretty. The bars are well-stocked and the staff is friendly and prompt. The only thing I didnt like, its a little pricey. Paying to get in the door, then high credit levels on every machine are not things Im used to. But Id go back, no hesitation.
I love all the vintage arcade games here. However, most are 2 quarters to play. Kiddos allowed until 8pm. An entry fee to get in. Its cool that they have a full bar, so you can enjoy an adult drink while playing games with minors. However, the food quality seems to have really gone downhill...it was pretty good when we went in January for a family friendly birthday celebration. This time though... I got the salad wrap with the goddess dressing and it tasted like someone had mixed some warm olive oil with some old fake cheese. I was super hungry and could barely finish my meal. My friend got the chicken Parmesan sandwich and there was hardly any chicken in it Disappointed to say the least. Go for games and drinks but eat beforehand.
A fun variety of games and awesome prices. $20 lasted 2 of us almost 3 hours.
