Preparing to purchase a home in this park paying cash. Filled out Park application only to be sent a denial letter. The reason given was no credit EXPERIENCE. However my credit is locked and was never contacted by anyone in the office to unlock my credit. Round and round on the phone with a very UNPROFESSIONAL OFFICE MANAGER. NO refund even though they never did run my credit or rightfully fulfill my application. Taking my cash elsewhere would never consider this park. Unprofessional and rude to say the least
No longer called Tanglewood Mobile estates. Now, Tanglewood a active 55 plus community
Very! Very! Very! Disappointing!!!!! I was dropping paperwork off at the office for my parents and had a question about it and a VERY RUDE UNPERSONABLE UNPROFESSIONAL BLONDE STAFF LADY IN BLUE SCRUBS WHO WOULDNT TELL ME HER NAME refused to answer them and proceeded to tell me to back away from the door when already maintaining a safe distance away because of the COVID19. CAL AM needs to reevaluate their employees. If their employees cant treat me with some respect for simple question think about how they must be treating all the elderly within their Park. I doubt its any better.
My Grandmother moved here in 1970 and my Mother about ten years? ago. I got a place right down the street from her a year and a half ago and love it here. I get to swim every day in the same pool I learned how to swim in! I keep to myself mostly and nobody bothers me. Never had any problems with management who seem nice to me. Well maintained park. Just hoping the new management doesnt change anything when they take over next month unless it makes it better
Out of all the Senior Parks in the area this is the best. I have lived here for 7 years and I love it! Management is easy to get along with and takes suggestions. The Park is well maintained with a heated pool that is always cleaned & a large clubhouse that is at the disposal of the residents for private parties. They have Bingo once a week on a Thursday, you should get there early because people from other parks come to play. The Homeowners Association has dinners and parties almost every month. There is Karaoke once a month on a Wednesday with a live DJ. Another perk for this Park is the lot rent, compared to others in the area, it is the lowest, BIG ADVANTAGE.I have seen a review on this site from a disgruntled former resident. I know she was evicted and served with no trespassing notices from Management. If you adhere to the rules of the Park as all of the residents do, you will have no problems. I dont find people rude, just the opposite. I know meals are delivered to shut ins by the Homeowners Association and new people are always welcomed at the meetings. A monthly newsletter is put out & a phone directory in the beginning of the year. If you are willing to interact with people this Park is more than friendly. I think you should look into living here, it is close to stores, restaurants and of course the beach.
This is a nice 55+ community! We still have friends here, even though we have moved.
Nice quiet & friendly mobile home park
I love living here and there are wonderful people here and u got to watch others
I would never recommend buying a mobile home in this park! A newer resident of this park moved in with a pit bull, supposedly a therapy dog. This dog is aggressive towards people and other dogs, which a properly trained and legally certified dog DOES NOT do! Also the home owners assn. is clicky and hostile to some residents because they speak their opinions about park issues which board members dont want to hear about! The manager of this park was convicted of DUI manslaughter about 5 yrs. ago, killing three people, including his own passenger, only serving about 18 months, and now back on the streets driving! Also the manager does not treat residents equally or fairly, causing some residents mental and emotional stress. I have lived here for four years, am very handicapped, and have never been asked if I need assistance of any kind!! I have been given a notice of eviction for parking on the grass, which many, many other able bodied residents also do, on a daily basis. I now have a handicapped ramp, which allows me to park on the driveway, get out of the vehicle and grab hold of the ramp. I also have a caregiver who lives with me. Management has also given eviction notice to this person, too. How sad is this!!! I cant even get in and out of the bathtub on my own without fear of falling. I guess management wants me to go to a nursing home or be homeless!! Anyway, If this is what you are looking for in a retirement m.h.p. Tanglewood M.H.P. is the place for you!!
