Great 55+ community in Port Orange, the city where everyone wants live. Close to Port Orange police department for an added feeling of security. Management are helpful, especially when you are nice to them. They have a hard job. The community is nicely manicured. Lawn mowing and irrigation is done by the park, as well as trash pick up and cable. Those fees are rolled into the lot rent cost. The average lot rent for east coast volusia county is approximately $700 per month on average and dont include as many benefits. Colony in the Wood is a 5 star community.

I went here to give a estimate to a resident here. Right away i noticed it wasnt a trailer park but rather a nice subdivision, with people that would wave as i waved, a place just a tic above the others. Great job!

New management and especially manager are unprofessional and harassing of long time owners. Do not attempt to file maintenance grievance as they will look to harass you with frivolous complaint and will not speak with you when you protest and ask for documentation or proof of complaints. They simply make up violations.

My husband and I just moved here and we absolutely love it! The grounds are immaculate and all the yards are very well kept. The people are friendly, the staff is great and there are plenty of activities to stay busy if you choose to. We also like that we are so close to everything but yet the park is very quiet and private.We would highly recommend Colony In The Wood.It’s a wonderful over 55 community!

Full disclosure I own a cleaning company and we clean the clubhouse and new units for Colony. I am only rating it based on my observation. The clubhouse is a great place for people to hang out and there is always something going on. Bingo night is very popular along with dancing and karaoke. The new homes are beautiful. When you are inside them you would never believe it is a mobile home with beautiful appliances and high ceilings. The park itself is very quiet and clean. Great job!

I am a home inspector and have inspected many mobile homes in the park. The people here are always friendly and the lark is always clean and well maintained.

This place is absolutely gorgeous! I was there visiting a friend. The landscaping is very well taken care of, manicured perfectly. Its quiet, you cant even hear the main road. The neighbors are friendly, but not nosey lol. Its a safe welcoming place. I wouldnt mind looking to move there when Im of age

We (my dad and I) visited some old friends of the family who live there. Such a nice community. Nice homes, plenty of trees, and a nice clubhouse.

Colonial Woods is a neat little church next to what Monroe she is absolutely a wonderful pastor was a lot of spunk crack and Fire for the message to be put out. This little lady gifted people turkeys for thanks giving so that lower-income people could have turkeys with very little donations God had come through and it bless them with Much More Than Just Turkeys her son had danced a song while we were there and it was absolutely wonderful a very blessed Little Country Church I highly recommend stopping in and seeing what really goes on awesome

Quiet GEM 55+ living. Very friendly atmosphere.

Nice place, grounds clean throughout however, standing water issues on interior roadways after rain and construction stopped completely for at least two weeks without explaination on building which will supposedly house pool table??? Clubhouse access rumors that hours available to residents will be greatly restricted soon?

The lawns are so pretty and well taken care of. Great lawn care.

Heavens waiting room.

When will pool be repaired, doesnt look like much is happening.Many residents feel it was the wrong time for repair should have been done earlier in the year.
